14 Freeing the slaves

*Clatter clatter*, it was really cold in the empire, it was raining as well. In the capital of the infamous Human Empire, there was a man in an alleyway, freezing. The man had little-to-none clothes, the man was in his teenage years, handsome but starving. The man had brown hair and emerald eyes. The man appeared to be a beggar, and everyone that passed him, knew of his dreadful fate. After who knows how many hours, the rain finally let up. This, however, isn't a good thing for the poor man.

Two people, two disgusting people, no, two handsome but despicable people approached the man. They were grinning and rubbing their hands. The men, thinking they finally found a "suitable" merchandise, took the man and locked him in a cage fit for an animal. The man, however, didn't struggle, rather, he had a funny grin on his face as he thought, "Success".

A teenager, wearing a cloak, went past the place where the man once was. He sighed and continued towards the palace. Meanwhile, a girl, who was relatively short, was talking with some "nice" gentlemen in a tavern. These "nice" men were "recruiting" for their party. Thinking they had a little girl fooled, they lured her to a dark alley. This was their biggest mistake. Finding it hard to believe they were the ones who were "fooled", they soon found their bodies on the floor with their heads rolling.

A humble merchant, wearing nice clothes, was happy because he got a great deal on a little wine. This merchant was the one to discover the three bodies of fellow merchants, who was, however of a different trade. Keeping his head cool, he called the knights over.

Lurking in the shadows, was a thief. The thief was unusually good at hiding, so good, he wasn't spotted stealing the chest plate of an unfortunate adventurer. The thief had hidden the stolen chest plate with a humble merchant. And just as expected, the merchant attracted the Knights' attention.

A man, who had just been tied to a wall, was being whipped. One of the very cruel merchants didn't like the grin on the man's face. The merchant screamed, "You bastard! Stop smiling like that!", 'the merchant was heartless and cruel. Or maybe he was just, broken. Either way, I'll have to apologize' the man thought.

"Everything is set in stone," Ubel said.

"Yep, seems everything is ready. We just need to light the fuse" Isao said, "Should I give Kebin the signal?" Netis asked. "Yes, do it" Ubel confirmed. Netis activated the magic stone.

The whipping merchant noticed something strange about his new slave. 'Why is his chest lighting up?' the merchant thought. But before he could say anything, something emerged from the body of the slave. It was a Magma golem! The magma golem crushed the cage, merchant, the carriage and all of the other people that got in its way. *ROOOOAAAR* the magma golem let a roar slip. "He really is getting into it," Kebin said as he summoned his clothes back. "Now, the others should be ready," Kebin said as he looked towards the castle.

"Alright, and just as planned, I will go and meet the princess, Isao will sneak in and free the slaves, and then proceed to escort them out of the city," Ubel said to the other two.

"What if we get spotted?" Isao asked.

"You won't, there is a reason why we are creating chaos in the marketplace" Netis explained.

"Then there's Netis, you will meet the slaves outside the city and lead them to the prepared camp" "Got it, but what will happen afterward?" Netis asked.

"Something that will shake the emperor in his golden boots"

Footsteps were heard in the castle; a well-dressed princess was walking to a very important meeting. Apparently, there was an elf that claimed to 'know of her past', and as a princess, she didn't really have a past. Except for one, she had told no one about it though.

The princess walked into a room where there was a teenage elf boy with white hair and red eyes. "I ask you to leave this room," The princess said to the knights escorting her. "B-But princess!" The knights tried to protest, but the princess silenced them.

"Don't worry, if anything happens, I still have my own abilities"

"T-That's true" The knights answered and left the room.

"*Sigh*, Oh, god of silence and barriers, I ask you to block off any listeners, may they be friend or foe! Silence room!" The princess chanted to make sure the guards weren't listening.

"Now then, what do you want? Elf?"

"That's too rude, Raz." The boy said.

"So, it really is you, it's good to finally meet you again, Young master. Or maybe it's just 'Master' now?" Raz said. "So, what are you plotting? With the rampage in the marketplace?" She asked

"Already realized it was me? Seems I don't have to make sure you're fit to travel with us"

"Us? You have already found the others?"

"More or less, there are two new additions though," Ubel said.

"Oh? Is that so? Who is it?"

"It's a thief named Isao, and a summoner called Kebin," Ubel told her.

"So, Kebin is the one causing the ruckus?" Raz asked.

"Yep, he's trying his best not to kill anyone though" Ubel answered.

"That's good to hear, so why did you meet me now?" She asked curiously.

"Let me tell you since we know that you're not going to follow us until you have completed your little task, we thought about lending you a little assistance"

"And what kind of assistance?"

"Heh, to think you of all people haven't noticed"

"What do you mean you released all the slaves!? And you're prepping them for a revolution?!" Raz shouted.

"Calm down, I'm only doing what's necessary" Ubel replied.

"You are about to lead the people I'm saving to their deaths!" She raised her voice.

"To their deaths? No, trust me, they won't lose so easily"

"Don't tell me you…" She looked at me with a questionable look.

"You guessed it, I'm giving them a way to fight against even the guards of the city," I said, Raz, sat down and sipped some tea she was brought. "You know what this means right?" She said.

"Yes, they will think it's your doing and vote for your execution. However, they can't execute someone that's not in the Empire" Ubel said to her.

"Are you telling me to flee?"

"No, I'm telling you to stay in court and use the power you have gathered until now, to gain the favor in banishing slave-trading" Ubel explained.

"And what if I fail?"

"I have a solid back up plan, don't worry and just try your best. The monster attack will end soon, so I have to leave and teach the slaves a few things" Ubel said and sat up, and walked towards the door

"See you, I look forward to meeting you again, Master"

"Bye" Ubel left the palace and hurried towards the camp.
