1 Chapter One

In the middle of a large courtyard, a young man with long grey hair appeared. He was wearing a white, tight fitted tunic. His purple eyes were sparkling as he looked around at the beautiful courtyard.

A small pond was present in one end, with a large open area right beside it. Behind him, was a door leading into the building. It was made from a dark wood material, yet it still gave off a very lively feeling.

"Not bad. Seems like dad didn't just set up a random place." Just as he was about to walk into the building, he felt a burning sensation coming from his hand. Looking down, he saw a blue pearl glowing with a bright light. "Already? I just got here." A bitter laugh escape from his mouth as he lifted the pearl close to his mouth.

"Jing, did you get there safely? Where are you right now? What does it look like? Is it nice? Don't tell me your dad gave you an ugly place? Hey, are you listening? Jing!" Listening to the female voice permeating from the pearl, Yuan Jing felt a headache forming.

"Mom, its fine. I got here fine, like I literally just got here. Relax. Also, the place is nice, dad wasn't stingy at all." He replied lazily as he began to walk around the place while holding the pearl.

"Really? Quickly, describe the place, I want to know what type of place you're going to live in for now. If it's missing anything, I will send someone to alter the place for you." Although he loved the fact his mom was extremely caring and he felt warm in his heart, he still felt a little speechless.

"C'mon mom, you really need to calm down. I can stay here fine, no need to do anything. Your son can handle this, trust me." He spoke with a lazy tone, but his mouth couldn't help but continue twitching.

Suddenly, an ear piercing voice came from the pearl. "What did yous say?! You can handle this? How old are you? You're still a little baby, don't act like an adult. You know what, I'm coming to get you! No more!"

'What the hell!' His face paled quickly as he began to speak quickly. "Mom, no. Please, don't be that way. I just got here, let me stay. Please. Here, let me describe the place, you can do whatever you want, I swear. Here, why don't you come down and check the place out yourself? If you think it's fine then that's great, if you don't like it,then just change it any way you want."

"No, won't come down. If I do, then your dad might actually get mad, but go ahead. Tell me about the place." Hearing her words, he couldn't help but sigh in relief. If his mom really came down, there was no way he could stay longer than five minutes. He would be dragged home by the ear.

"This place has a large pond and a very big open area. The walls and floor are made from dark wood and there are pillars made from a cool black stone." He walked around and described everything he saw. The place was very large and so it took him some time.

"Alright, it doesn't sound too bad. Barely acceptable. Just in case though, I'm sending down Yunlong so you don't feel lonely." When she said this, Yuan Jing finally felt some happiness.

"Yunlong? Alright. Can you send some of his favorite foods in a ring for me? Although I can get food from here, I don't know if he will like it." If it was his father, he wouldn't dare ask such a thing, since he was supposed to be out for training and cultivation, but if it was his mother, he didn't hesitate a bit. He knew his mom would send him anything he wanted.

"Alright, I will send some of his food too. It should last a few good years. If you need more, just tell me. I'm going to go for now, me and your father are going to take your sister out, she is bummed out since you left." When he heard this, a sign escaped his mouth. He had a younger sister around the age of seven. She was sleeping when he left, but he was very close to her, since he was her only sibling.

"That's fine. If she ever gets bored or irritated, just bring he down for a bit. I can look after her for a while. Plus, she could experience things here with me for a bit." He spoke a little longer with his mom before she finally left. He waited a few minutes and finally a large light flashed in front of him.

Ssssss

"Yunlong!" He looked at the cute creature that appeared in front of him. It was a small black snake. On its head were a pair of horns, but that wasn't it. The tip of its tail was made from a white cloud, which was extremely fluffy. He grabbed the floating snake and placed it around his neck. "Good, since you're here, I won't be that bored."

Yunlong was a variant dragon which was raised using the Yuan bloodline. Because of that, it had a special connection towards clouds, like the Yuan people. Unlike him, the snake was only fifteen years old, which was very young for a dragon. He had been raising the snake since it was an egg, so he had a deep bond with it, and the latter did with him as well.

The snake, Yunlong, rubbed its head against Yuan Jing's cheek while the latter smiled at it gently. He noticed the on its tail was a ring, so he quickly grabbed it and placed it on his own hand. "This is probably the food. Alright, I will give you some to eat right now. After that, let's go out and explore the city."

Unlike normal interdimensional rings, the one he used was specific towards his bloodline. He didn't need to use essence to access it, he could just use his own bloodline power.

Inside of the ring, there was a large space, one even bigger the his own courtyard. Meat upon meat were stacked in every direction. Some were red, some were blue, there black, and even purple. Various types were here and there, each of them a favorite of Yunlongs. Picking the black colored meat, he pulled it out of the ring and it appeared as a small square the size of a fist. It was much larger than Yunlongs body, but the snake ate in a single gulp.

"Since you ate, you should be good for a while. Let's go and explore." He was eager to see what the city held. His dad already gave him a brief summary of the place he had come to.

The city he was residing in was called Sothage city, and it was apart of the northern continent. It was under the ruling of a kingdom called the Trakodia Kingdom. The world he was in was known as Sora, and it was a large planet under his family jurisdiction. Of course, it was one of the many trillion planets the family owned.

Right before he could step outside of his home, a bright light flashed behind him. His blue pearl also began to heat up.

"Jing! I'm sending Su down to you, she is crying her eyes out, so let her stay with you for a bit. I will come and pick her up later." Hearing the message he concentrated his vision towards the light and saw a little girl appear. She was wearing a cute red dress, with her long black hair tied into two ponytails. Her eyes were like his mothers, blue like the deep ocean.

"Su, come here." He quickly picked up the little girl who had red eyes. "Why are you crying? Brother is only out for a little bit." He looked at the little girl warmly and couldn't help but sigh a little. Although his parents were always there during his tie as a child, and even for his little sister, for some reason, she was more attached to him then his parents. Even though this was a good thing most of the time, sometimes it wasn't the best.

"Jing, why would you leave without me? I get so bored and lonely at home." She pouted as she glared at her brother. "Plus, if Yunlong can stay with you, why can't I?" She looked at the snake with a look of displeasure. "Get off of my brother, Yunlong."

Hissss

Yunlong hissed at Su, but the latter didn't budge. "You know brother likes me more, so why don't you just go back?" She looked at him confidently, while the snake looked at Jing with pitiful eyes.

"Hey, I like both of you the same. Su, you are my little sister, while Yunlong is my best friend. Don't fight." He calmed the two down before placing his sister on the ground and holding her little hand. "I was just going to go explore the city with Yunlong, let's go. Dad gave me lots of money, so just buy whatever you want, alright?"

The currency of the world was very simple. Bronze was the lowest, then silver, then gold, then spirit coins, and so on. A single silver was worth a hundred bronze, while a single gold, was worth a hundred silver, and this pattern went on and on. His father left him with a thousand spirit coins. This was spoiling him since he was supposed to earn these things himself, but as a father, how could he let his son live in poverty?

"Ok, I'm going to buy whatever I want. Mom isn't here either, so I can get a bunch of candies." She giggled mischievously.

"Hey, no. You can get candy, but only until I say no more. If you cry for more, I will tell mom to take you back home." He looked at his sister seriously.

Her face sank but she didn't complain. "Ok, but then I want lots of toys. Also, I want a room here too. I want the biggest room."

Yuan Jing shook his head helplessly as he walked out onto the street with his sister. She was spoiled to say the least. Atleast, she would only act spoiled around him and his dad. As for his mother, Su was frightened of her if anything.

The streets were packed. Some were walking slowly, enjoying the view, while others were quickly going from place to place. Yuan Jing and his sister were of course a part of the former group. Yunlong, who was wrapped around Jing's neck, had its eyes closed. Surprisingly, no one noticed him at all. Normally, a creature such as it would attract the eyes of every person, but no one noticed it.

"Jing, why did you make Yunlong become invisible?" She looked at him curiously. Although she wasn't dumb, she was still too young to understand somethings.

"Su, if he is out in the open, others will see him and want to make him their pet. If that happens, brother is going to get a headache, so I'm just avoiding it." Hearing him, she nodded her head.

Soon, they reached the commercial area where stalls and other things were set up. Yuan Su looked around excitedly at the sight. Although she had seen many more fantastic things in her life, she was still a child in the end, so to her the place was still extremely exciting. "Look, look." She tugged on his sleeve and pointed at a stall excitedly. Yuan Jing looked over and when he saw what the stall was selling, he couldn't help but laugh bitterly.

'My luck is so bad, running into a stall for candy.' Before he could try and find something else to distract his sister, he felt his arm being pulled forward. "Alright alright, we are going. Calm down Su." He couldn't help but become speechless.

He quickly picked his sister up and walked towards the stall. His sister danced in his arms excitedly as she saw the candy. "Hehehe, I'm going to eat so much, mom won't even know."

"Hey, I'm only buying you a little bit. Don't get too excited." As if not hearing his words, she continued dancing in his arms. 'What a little brat.'

Arriving at the stall, Yuan Jing looked around and saw that the selection was quite good. There were many options, with candies of various types, some that even he didn't know about.

"That one, that one, and that one. Also, that one, and that one." Su began to point at different candies with excitement showering her face.

Seeing her like this, although he wanted to restrict her, he just didn't have the heart to. 'I'll buy lots, but I won't give her all of it. Only a little bit at a time.' He quickly looked at the old man who was smiling at him and his sister. "Sir, can you pack all of the ones my sister is pointing at? Just pack as much as you have."

The second his words came out of his mouth, the old man became shocked. "Y-young man, are you sure? She pointed at all of them. Do you want everything?" He asked again. Yuan Su really did point at every kind of candy that he had. Asking for everything he had was a rare occurrence, and normally never happened.

"I'm sure." He sighed bitterly. "If I don't get them all, she will probably cause a ruckus, and if that happens, then who knows what I will do." A bitter smile appeared on his face.

"A-alright then. For everything, the total should be…" After pausing for a second, the old man did a quick calculation. "... two gold and twenty silver for everything." After telling Yuan Jing the price, the old man looked at him deeply before asking, "Do you have enough?"

Without answering him with words, he pulled out three gold coins and placed them on the stall table. "Is this good?" He smiled at the old man.

Looking at the three shiny coins, the old man couldn't help but swallow deeply. "Y-yes, this is more than enough, let me get you your change."

"No need, just keep it." Yuan Jing didn't really care about such little funds. His dad left him more than enough, plus with a single word, his mom would send a bunch.

"A-are you sure?" The old man was taken aback, but he couldn't help but ask again to confirm.

Seeing the young man nodded his head, the old man smiled brightly as he began to pack all of the candy. "Thank you, thank you." As he packed, he couldn't help but continue saying his thanks.

Smiling lazily, Yuan Jing nodded towards the old man's gratitude. He didn't feel excited or anything because of the man's gratitude, nor did he feel any extra happiness. All he felt was helpless. Helpless that his sister was so spoiled.

After waiting for fifteen minutes, the old man finally packed all of the candy. They were shoved into four large bags, each half the size of Yuan Su. The latter become excited seeing the amount of candy, but Yuan Jing only became further frustrated.

"Su, after this, I'm sending you home." He looked at his sister who was happily chewing on some candy. She looked at him with a confused expression.

"Why? I didn't do anything bad." Her eyes became red as she was about to burst into tears.

"Listen, after this, brother has to do something important. If you stay with brother I can't take you out for candy, plus you will only get bored. Also, mom and dad will be lonely, do you want that?" Although he wasn't lying, it wasn't that bad.

Thinking for a while, she reluctantly nodded her head. "Alright, but Jing, you have to keep my candies here. If mom sees it, she will get mad and hit me on the butt." Yuan Jing nodded his head as he grabbed his sisters nose.

"I will put them into your room and hide them. No one will find them, not even mom." He spoke confidently and then placed his sister onto the ground before picking the four bags down. He passed her a few more pieces of candies and then stopped. "Let's find a cart or something to put this on." Yuan Su nodded her head and grabbed his sleeves and followed closely, while still chewing on her candy happily.
