Zero sees a man unlock the old man's cell and put a collar made of enchanted bars around the old man's neck before dragging him out of the dungeon.

Zero sits in silence for a few minutes. surely that old man is crazy zero couldn't have magic could he? He quickly dismisses the thought. Suddenly Zero's eye catches something shiny. Where the old man previously was Is a small metal ring made of thorns. He puts it on just in time for a man to come down to the dungeon for him. 'The boss says selling you as a slave for some nobles is gonna make us rich!' he unlocks the cage, but unlike Septimus no magic collar just a plain metal one.

Zero gets dragged along up stairs after stairs, halfway after hallway until finally they appear in what looks like a large auction house. He gets stripped and shackled to a pedestal in the center. all around him as far as his eyes could see was endless rows of very richly dressed people.

The man at the podium beside Zero began addressing the crowd. "this young boy of 18 can cook,clean,read and write" a few people seemed interested but was apparently not enough because then he said 'the boy also has no magic or skill at fighting.' This made the crowd just about riot to gain possession of the boy. one copper, two copper quickly making it to 47 gold to nobles a servant that couldn't fight back was priceless.
