16 Azazel

Azazel was a product of cruel wars, a survivor. He resolved everything by means of struggle. He believed in the supremacy of the wolves and he would fight to death to defend the wolf-dom.

The wolf race kept growing and inter-marriages with foreigners were unavoidable. Azazel did not agree. Theirs was a culture existing even before they came, a robust economy, a stable and a steady political, economic and social infrastructure. For him, they were robbers.

"They robbed us of our culture. Later on, there were murders for no apparent reason."

The reason why he was a hardcore advocate of wolf-wolf marriage and Tom would be one of his ardent believers, his hidden agenda being his brother John and Nenita but that was unknown to Azazel. John and Nenita had already passed on the estates to their daughter Isabella.

Tatin never agreed with his father. He may be a wolf, which had its own advantages and uses when called for. Since he was a new generation product, he believed that peace could be achieved by means of inter-cultural exchange and communication and not by means of war.
