Party in the Holy City

Day of Satur, 6:40 p.m.

At the female dormitory.

It was another night that all recruits were allowed to go outside the Training Camp but must be back before 11:00 p.m. and the women of the Luxen and Heisin Chapter Temple were busy dressing up.

"See? It looks good on you, right?" Kara said and showed Uliah a mirror. "That's another way of applying eyeshadow if you're in a festive mood."

"I don't like it. I look like a bird," said Uliah.

"That's the point!"

"To be a bird?"

Kara let out a helpless sigh.

"Just think that you're a beautiful bird."

"But I don't like birds. They're scary. I want to be fierce."

"Oh! I know how to make you look fierce!"

Vivian, who was wearing nothing but a pair of bra and underwear and next to them, ignored them and was selecting clothes.

I need something that I can easily wear and undress…

Unfortunately for her, aside from her uniform and sleeping wear, she only had bras, underwear, stretchable and fitting long-sleeved shirts and fitting pants. Even with her footwear, she only had 2 boots and a single pair of slippers for going to the bathroom or toilet.

My wardrobe is severely lacking…

I think I should buy a dress…

Those little black dresses would be nice…

But I don't think this world doesn't have that kind of fashion here…

It's too provocative…

And plus, I'm a Priest…

Vivian looked at Kara who was busy arguing with Uliah about makeup.

She shook her head.

I don't think her dresses would fit me…

7:24 p.m.

Most of the Priestesses were done dressing up and exiting the female dormitory.

As for the Priests, most of them have already gone out to the city around 6:30 p.m. But there were still a few Priests waiting outside of the female dorm to accompany some of the Priestesses.

But on this night, there was something special.

A Priest in his late teens was standing proudly right in front of the female dormitory's entrance.

He wore a White Cloak and underneath it was a magical set of metal and leather armor and a sword on his waist. He held his chin up and his hands were behind him. He wasn't conventionally handsome. He had wavy green hair, a flat nose, a bit short and was also a bit chubby. However, his presence screamed that he was used to being gawked by people.

And since he was standing in front of the entrance, all of the Priestesses that came out glanced at him. Some recognized him, while others gave him the side-eye for blocking the entrance. However, the man simply ignored all of them because there was only one person he had come here to see tonight.

And after waiting for almost an hour, he finally spotted his target.

Up ahead was a short and pale-looking beautiful woman with purple hair and red highlights and she was accompanied by 5 other women.

Unlike her companions, she wasn't wearing a cloak but she still wore her gold necklace, revealing her black-fitting long-sleeved shirt and pants which showcased her thin and muscular physique. She also wore a pair of black gloves and boots.

A small smile appeared on the man's face.

"If she were to become my woman, I wouldn't allow her to go outside without dressing properly," he muttered under his breath as he watched his target come closer and tried to make eye contact with her and smiled.

When his target finally got close, her companions looked at him with a confused expression before turning to where his eyes were looking.

However, his target only spared him a quick glance before moving to the side because he was blocking the way.

Noticing that his target and her friends weren't stopping to talk to him, he quickly opened his mouth.

"Good evening. You're Sister Vivian, the Platoon Leader of Platoon 3, correct?"

Vivian stopped and looked at him up and down.

"Yes?"

The man smiled.

"For once, the rumors are true. You are indeed a beauty."

"Huh?"

"My name is Brother Warren from the Iron Chapter Temple and I am the Platoon Leader of Platoon 4. And yes, you are not mistaken, I am indeed the one who has 5 True Affinities," he said and raised his chin higher.

Vivian looked at her companions. However, they only looked at her with curiosity so she returned her gaze to Warren.

"I see. What business do you have with me, brother?"

"I will permit you to be my pen pal and I would like to take you out on an expensive dinner tonight."

Vivian snorted and walked away.

Everyone was caught in a surprise by Vivian's reaction, even Warren himself that no one moved and just watched.

"Wait!" Warren said and held out his hand. "Where are you going?!"

Vivian didn't respond and continued walking.

Seeing Vivian, her companions snapped out of their trance and rushed over to catch up to her.

Vooom.

Warren blurred and appeared right in front of Vivian, stopping her in her tracks.

"What is the meaning of this, brother?" Vivian asked with a cold voice and her eyes turning to slits.

"Do you know who I am?"

"You just told me. And if you don't have any official business with me, please leave me alone."

A surprised look flashed on Warren's face.

"A-Are you seriously rejecting me?"

"I've already sent out a restraining order that no one is allowed to approach me unless it's official business. And if you don't have any official business with me, leave me alone."

Warren's eyes blinked a few times before his lips slowly curled up into an amused smile.

"Only allowed to approach you if it's official business? Do you know how many people who want to be associated with me, would kill to be around my presence?"

"Do you want me to report you for sexual harassment and defying a restraining order made by the higher-ups of the Holy Crusade?"

Warren sneered.

"Let me remind you that this offer of mine is your one and only chance. I'd hate to see you be filled regrets with future, SISTER PLATOON LEADER."

Vivian paid him no attention and continued walking.

At the entrance of the Training Camp.

Vivian and the others were still walking together when Vivian suddenly stopped.

"Guys, wait."

Kara, Uliah, Sally, Diane and Samantha stopped and turned to her.

"You guys go ahead without me. I'm going to report the incident and catch up with you guys later."

This would be my chance to break away from them and do what I have to do…

Ugh…!

But what in God's name made that fat, ugly, pig-dwarf brat think that he could talk to me…?!

And he was talking to me like his 5 Magic Art Affinities would anything to me…!

FUCKING HELL…?!

GOD, I WANT TO FUCKING SKEWER THAT WEAK, USELESS AND UGLY PIG AND ROAST HIM ALIVE…!

FUCKING DISGUSTING…!

GOD, I FEEL SO FUCKING DIRTY I WANT TO WASH MY MOUTH AND REDO MY LIPSTICK FOR TALKING TO SUCH AN UGLY, FAT, SHORT AND TALENTLESS WEAK LOWLIFE BRAT…!

"Sister Platoon Leader, we can accompany you. We don't mind," Kara said with a serious expression on her face.

"Yeah," said Uliah. "That little Peon thinks he can harass women just because he got 5 Affinities. Just thinking about him makes me want to punch his face!"

The other women nodded in agreement.

"Thank you, but I don't want to ruin everyone's night tonight. Don't worry, I'll catch up with you guys later. Same place, at the Night Edge, right?"

Although the women didn't say anything, their faces betrayed what was inside their hearts.

"Also, don't forget about our agreement. You guys still have to smuggle some snacks for me. What if you accompany me and you won't be able to smuggle food for me?"

The women let out wry smiles.

"I forgot about that…" Uliah said and scratched the side of her face with a finger.

"I've always wanted to ask you this, Sister Platoon Leader," said Sally.

"What is it?"

"When one reaches a Physical and Magic Force of Adamantite, does their appetite increase as well like yours?"

Vivian let out a chuckle and shook her head.

"No. I just happened to have a physical condition where I have a very fast metabolism."

"Metabolism?" Sally asked with a confused expression.

Even the rest wore the same expression.

So this world doesn't know about metabolism…?

I'm not sure if they know what digestion means…

Let alone burning calories…

"To put it simply, my body melts the food inside my stomach so fast that I'm constantly hungry."

"But if you have to constantly eat, why aren't getting fat?" asked Samantha.

Out of everyone here, Samantha was the fattest. She was not obese by any means, just a little more meat on the side.

"I can't get fat. Let's say for a normal person, he/she only has to eat 2-3 times a day which will make him/her satisfied or maintain a healthy weight. But in my case, I need to at least eat 8-9 times a day, which is why it can be considered something like a physical sickness. But don't worry, it's not contagious, of course," said Vivian.

In Vivian's head, this was the medieval period. The last thing she wanted was for a rumor to spread that she was carrying a contagious disease or some kind of plague.

"It would be nice not to get fat -- I'd love to eat cake every day and not worry about getting fat," Kara said and touched her cheeks. "But having to eat 8-9 times a day just to maintain a healthy weight, that's hard."

The rest looked at her with a deadpan expression.

"You really like sweets too much…" said Uliah.

"And you like drinking too much," Kara fired back.

It was the truth. The last time they were at the Night's Edge, she was among the few people who were still up and drinking when everyone was down and vomiting. But of course, not everyone drank themselves to death and only had 1-2 mugs, such as Vivian, Kara and Samantha.

Uliah wrapped her arm around Kara's neck and pulled her close.

"What did you say?!"

"Ugh…! Help me! You're going to mess up my hair!" Kara cried out, causing everyone nearby to turn and look at them. She tried to break away from Uliah's lock but she couldn't because Uliah's Physical Force was higher than hers.

Everyone chuckled.

Sally cleared her throat.

"So it's like Demons and Lesser Demons. They say that when a person gets the Chaos Affinity, they would have a big appetite in order to compensate for their demonic form. But of course, I'm not accusing you of being a demon or anything. That's just impossible. You wouldn't be here in the first place."

"Really? I didn't know that Demon Humans and Lesser Demon Humans would have a larger appetite," Vivian said with an innocent and surprised expression.

"How come I don't remember hearing that at Brother High Lieutenant Gars' lecture?" asked Uliah.

"Because he didn't or he has yet to discuss it I guess," said Sally. "It was something a veteran Brother back at Heisen City told me."

"Oh…" said everyone.

"Anyhow, guys, I have to go. Remember, I'll meet you guys at the Night's Edge. Also, don't forget about smuggling food for me," Vivian and smiled.

"Okay, Sister Platoon Leader," replied the women.

"You can count on us!" said Uliah who still had Kara in a headlock.

Vivian turned around and headed to the Main Office building.
