1 Prologue: The Last Boss

"SAVE ME, JOSEPH!!"

"MILLIA!" Joseph watched helplessly as his last standing party, his girlfriend Millia, was reduced to ashes by the dark flame coming from this indescribable monster in front of him.

Millia's blessed staff dropped on the ground as the silence permeated in the air.

Joseph gritted his teeth. He had lost everyone, from eleven reduced to one. As the last man standing, it was clear that he was in a desperate situation. He didn't expect the last boss to be this difficult.

He looked up, staring at the indescribable dark entity in front of him.

Endless Entity, Devourer of Existence.

Endless Entity taunted Joseph, "What's wrong, the chosen one? Are you giving up now? You've killed my minions, including all of my Bride and Groom. It's fair for me to kill your comrades, is it not?"

"Don't you understand that you're disturbing the special rites right now? This is supposed to be the feast for me, so I can devour everything, so the world to create a new one!"

"This world might not be perfect, but that doesn't mean it needs to be destroyed! There are humans, elves, dwarfs, and everybody else. They are living being with love, dream, and hope! You evil entity knows nothing about this!"

"Whatever you say, Chosen one. All things in this world are insignificant for me. As long as I can eat my fill and complete my duty, everything, including you, is insignificant!" Endless Entity said.

"I am getting hungry. You're wasting my time," Endless Entity said.

"THIS ENDS NOW!"

Endless Entity opened one of his mouths. Dark energy formed into a sphere inside, ready to launch and destroy everything in front of him, including Joseph the Chosen one, the transmigrated hero from Earth.

Joseph clenched his holy sword, SacredBane. If he had to kill himself to kill this monster, then so be it. He would die as a hero, as the light of hope for people!

Joseph raised his sword, and the light sparked at the tip of his sword. It gathered and created a light ball that shone brightly in this strange dimension created by Endless Entity.

"I swear as the last hope of the world, I will never let you win!" Joseph yelled. He pointed the light ball right at Endless Entity's mouth, ready to clash against that dark sphere.

"TAKE THIS ATTACK!"

"DESPERATE SMITE!"

Joseph used the remaining life force that he had to launch the light ball to Endless Entity.

"ALOB ARAJ!" Endless Entity used his ancient language to launch the attack.

The dark sphere and light ball clashed in the air. Endless Entity was sure that he would win because his dark sphere was the type that would swallow anything it touched.

And it did. He saw his dark sphere swallowed the light ball, "HAHAHA! FINALLY, I WILL HAVE MY FEAST!" Endless Entity rejoiced.

Joseph almost lost all of his strength. He scoffed, "Heh, it's not over yet."

The dark sphere in the middle that had just successfully swallowed the light ball suddenly ballooned.

"What—"

"Did you realize that? My light ball has a thick essence of the light inside it. It doesn't act like a missile," Joseph chuckled weakly. "It's a bomb."

"You will also kill yourself!" Endless Entity yelled.

"That doesn't matter because my job is to save everyone," Joseph closed his eyes and used the last command.

"Detonate."

BOOOOOMMM!!!

The loud explosion with the mixture of light and dark destroyed everything in the vicinity, including Joseph, the transmigrated hero, and Endless Entity, the Devourer of Existence.

"AARRGGHH!" Endless Entity was burning all over. He was burned with light energy and his own dark energy in this dimension that acted as a furnace now.

His body slowly melted until his core was destroyed. The Devourer of Existence had been defeated. Endless Entity knew that Joseph wouldn't die, especially after the transmigrated hero defeated him.

Joseph would ascend Godhood, which was the reward for killing a God.

"Curse you, transmigrated hero! I will make sure to take back my Godhood! I will devour everything!'

With that, the Devourer of Existence was defeated, supposedly cease to exist. And the name of Endless Entity became a legend of centuries for the generations to come.

But little did they know, Endless Entity was the source of darkness that would never disappear.

With his golden eyes started flickering in the emptiness, Endless Entity was revived.

'I will feast once more.'
