Seismic sense

The next day, I woke up early with mother still hugging me, I don't know how she can be comfortable in that position, but I can't complain.

"Mom, wake up is morning and I have to train with dad."

"Aki, good morning, I have the best sleep I had in weeks, I love hugging you, my little Sun."

"I know mom, but I have a long day ahead, I have to train to beat Rumi once more."

"Sure dad, but I have to wear it when I fight Rumi? It will be impossible to beat her if I can't see."

"You have to wear it every time till next week and you will fight with it, that will help you to expand your seismic sense faster."

My dad went to a cabinet and picked a green blindfold with a symbol resemble the earth bending of my past life in Avatar, i don't know if it's a simple coincidence or that goddess, mess some things up, he came near me and put the blindfold around my eyes and tighten it to not fall.

"Now, here you go, you are ready to be blind for a week."

All I could see is darkness, I tried to get up and hit my little toe with the table.

"Auch, that hurts."

I heard my father laughing.

"Don't laugh, that hurt."

"Try to familiarize with the earth, let it guide you, just focus on what you feel with your feet, you are used to your eyes and ears, but not your feet, you have to try to feel the same you sense with your others senses..."

My father keep talking, but I start focusing on my feet, I try to ignore everything else, I didn't hear my father any longer all I could feel was the cold floor under my feet, everything was quite, I lift my foot and hit the ground, I remembered Toph doing something similar and my foot make some waves in the earth, I try to imitate the bats first with their echolocation, trying to feel the vibration on the earth, well in that case in the stone, I knew this is only usable on surfaces the user can bend, but maybe when I develop all my bending I can use it, even in the wood and other type of surfaces, I keep focusing on the floor, and suddenly I can "see" the table next to me, the couch behind and my father still standing on my right side, I hit the ground again and I can see my mother coming from the kitchen, I'm sure the breakfast is ready so I started moving to the kitchen, feeling everything with just the sole of my feet, I feel my mom near and hug her.

"Oh Sunny, you get the feel of this so quick, I'm so proud, come eat breakfast, you stupid of a husband come too."

With a sigh, my dad come to the kitchen and we have a big breakfast, we always eat a lot, cause both my parents train on daily basics and when they don't train the do their hero job and because I'm growing and training I have to eat even more or at least that what mom said, also she was not only a hero, she studied medicine and nutrition, so our food is always balanced and healthy.

I spent the rest of the day, trying to get used to this new sense, my father help me train throwing me some earth pebbles while I tried to dodge them, at first all of them hit me cause my reaction wasn't fast enough to perceive his movements and the small pebbles in the air, but at some time and using my ears too, i started dodging most of them, when it was time to fight Rumi, I could dodge 8 pebbles every 10 he throw.

That day I lost once again against Rumi, while I managed to dodge some of her hits and kicks, I couldn't dodge all of them and it end up in my lose.

"Aki don't be sad, today you fight without using your eyes and give a cool fight so, I'm so happy that I will allow you to bath with me, so if you have any problem bathing without using your eyes I will help you as your big sister."

She said proud of herself.

"Ah I told you a thousand times that I'm the older one, why you can't understand it."

"And I told you a thousand times more that my spirit is older, so come come today you are gonna spend the night in our house, is that okay mommy?"

I feel that her mom just arrived at the dojo.

"Sure honey, go now and if you guys need help give me a call, I will be standing near the bath."

"Come, Aki."

She grabs my hand and drag me with her, I guess that today I will be Rumi's human hug pillow.

Early chapter today, most likely you guys will have one more in 6/8 hours, because tomorrow i will be busy, some friends will come to my house to play the D&D like game of Avatar and i won't be able to write and upload one.
