Learning from Chief.

[Do you wish to unlock the ranch area?]

'You are still asking such obvious questions…Yes, unlock it!'

[Ranch area was unlocked and added to your personal space.]

[Size: Depends on the number of animals.]

[Functions: Perfect Environment, Automatic Feeding]

Small hut appeared next to his fields inside of space. It was just a hut, no fences or cages.

'That's it? Where will animals live?' Disappointment appeared on his face, he expected something better and higher end.

[Host should try input animals into ranch before asking such questions.]

Boy inputted quail into ranch and building similar to coop appeared next to small hut.

'Ohhh…Size depends on number of animals. No animals…No place for them.' It was his mistake, he just didn't understood description of size.

'Who would expect…it to generate things like this?' The rest of animals was inputted into ranch, it made ranch expand in size. New buildings appeared from thin air, one after another. Every creature had their separated area, so Brenda ended in pigsty and sheep in byre.

'Do I need to feed them?'

[Ranch will automatically feed the animals with food from storage. The host can designate the food for every specimen if the host wants.]

The animals had wide space for walking, a small pond to take baths and containers full of the best available food.

Brenda was eating happily, eating alone didn't affect it at all. It didn't care about anything as there was food to eat. There were actually no pair in entire ranch, so boy became little ashamed. It was impossible to breed animals like this.

'To the forest! Let's catch them all!' He decided to improve his ranch, getting more rabbits and quails was far from enough. Villagers were reluctant to exchange their animals with him, so it won't be easy to get pair for sheep and pig.

'I could actually get chickens from Roger though. Let's hunt something to exchange for them!' Chickens could lay eggs, and having more animals would improve his situation with animal products.

'I need to train control over my strength too. It can wait to another day! Ranch is priority!' He actually forgot about traps in the forest, there were some blood stains around them.

'I gave away nice meal to some predator…' Result was quite regretful, still he could only blame himself for his clumsiness.

Traps were set and he decided to focus on hunting bigger game like deer. It would be great if he could actually capture one alive to domestication purposes.

Aron found many hoof prints, it was tracks of small herd of deer. They headed into inner parts of forest, they weren't in few hundred meters of range as he couldn't spot them with his eagle's eyes.

'Let's search for them. There still few kilometers of safe zone.' Roger said that hunters shouldn't go into inner region of forest as it would provoke beasts and consequences of this action would be unimaginable.

Luckily for him, this herd didn't enter inner region yet. Easiest way to get them down would be shot their legs with arrows.

'We are extremely close to inner region. I don't want to mess with demon wolf. Not for time being!' Getting killed by stupid oversized dog wasn't good idea, he took out the bow and started taking down deer after deer.

There were total of six of them, though two of them couldn't be saved anymore. Crippled legs didn't stop them and they made more self-harm by running through thick bushes.

'Meat is always useful.' The smell of blood will lure all surrounding predators into this position, boy packed animals into space and started charging into direction of village.

"AWOOOO!" Multiple howls could be heard, however he was already next to his traps far from that place.

'Pack of wolves. I need to leave this place after checking my traps.' Letting wild animals steal your game was mistake but allowing it for second time would be disgrace.

The traps were really effective, he caught two quails, rabbit and hare. The forest actually had rabbits and hares.

The interesting information about rabbits and hares that they are genetically not compatible. You would think they are similar so they could be able to breed with each other. Modern domesticated rabbits went through so many selective breeding, so it's not possible to breed them with wild rabbits.

Aron stopped thinking about compatibility and incompatibility of species and put them into the ranch. The deers needed to be slowly tamed, so he tied them to stop their madness. Another thing was two from six were killed as their damage was not worth healing.

[Deer]

[Gender: Male]

[Traits: Growing antlers, Ambidextrous, Reinforced Skull]

[Skills: Headbutt, Quick Escape, Four-legged Run]

[Plundered: Headbutt, Quick Escape, Four-legged Run, Ambidextrous, Reinforced Skull]

'I was always right handed. This body is right handed too. When I get more world energy…I won't be right or left handed anymore. I will be ambidextrous!' Having both hands equally strong and efficient was actually great advantage in combat. You could swap weapon between arms without losing combat

Aron's problem was complete lack of world's energy, every point was invested into growing fields and getting to profit part would take around two weeks of time.

He decided to go to chief to get more herbs and learn about herbology. His reading and writing were already on close to maximum level.

"Good morning, Aron. Did you cure sheep?" Straight to the point, few days passed from that day and man didn't forget about this promise.

"I was right at least partially. Blue mint got rid of fever, still sheep was in berserk state. I decided to add bristle as it had some calming effect on other animals. It didn't work on the end, so I decided to poison it with Yew leaves. The sheep actually became calm, it turned out that combined effect of those three plants worked as cure. I was lucky to find right combination!" Aron didn't believe his own story, still how could he explain this bullshit formula to him. It was important that it worked.

"Kid. Don't worry! Only results matter, rest isn't important!" Carl described situation when he had absolutely no idea about method of treatment, so basically, he fed patient with random herbs. Problem was number of those herbs, he couldn't figure out which herbs actually cured patient and which didn't.

"I have question for you. I see you rushing to forest from time to time. You didn't come to study anymore. Did you give up?" Chief thought that boy gave up learning of reading and writing to focus being hunter.

"No. I can read most of words. Writing is little harder as I practice on dirt or stone tablets. My Adean should be good enough for now!" He could work as king's scribe with his current ability, system pumped dictionary into his head. His vocabulary could be considered as one of best in kingdom.

"Boy…there is not need to lie me! I don't believe this! It was only…" Carl couldn't believe words of boy, so Aron decided to display his skills in front old man.

"Impossible…Farmer, carpenter, hunter…You are genius! I have little request. Could you become my apprentice? I would like to pass my herbalist's legacy on someone! What do you think? Will you fulfill wish of old man?

[Do you wish to activate profession Herbalist Apprentice?]

"I can become your apprentice. However, I won't stay in this village in the future. Are you okay with this fact?" Aron didn't lie about his future plan. This village was too limited and it lacked most crucial minerals.

"It's ok. As far you promise me to pass on my teachings on someone else. I hope someone will pass herbal knowledge to next generations. People need herbalists as much as hunters!" It was partially right, lack of hygiene and lack of proper nutrition made society potentially weak against simple viruses.

"We are no longer strangers. You should call me by name or master. Your choice!" Master-student relationships were usually like father and son.

"Yes, Carl." Boy accepted deal, however chief won't be his master for long. Surpassing level of simple mixing herbs wasn't anything special for person with memories from modern world.

[Herbalist Apprentice lv.0(0/1K)]

[Boost: +0.1 INT]

[Level Cap:5]

[Skill Herbology generated. Herbology lv.0(1/500)]

'I should reschedule my plan. I should focus more on herbology as it gives me boost in Intelligence!' His target was another part of his memories. He needed 6 more attribute points to level of 20.

'I got meat from deers and sow. It would be good to get cow and bull. Chickens are attractive option too.' His first target was Roger's farm, getting chickens was most profitable option out of all animals. Unlimited eggs supply would tempt anyone, and boy could easily achieve it.

Ranch got another coop and two hens and rooster were running around it. Some time will pass before first laying eggs, however investment would come back to him with interest.

None decided to trade with Aron, so kid decided to get some samples of herbs from Carl's collection.

"Can I go through your herbal collection? I want to be able to distinguish every one of them!" His request wasn't unreasonable, old herbalist nodded and gave him simple warning.

"You can! Beware sniffing some of them gives 'interesting' effects!" He wasn't lying, there were few plants with high soporific effect. One sniff and you would wake up few hours later. Another herbs caused other interesting effects like the stimulation of certain body parts and many more odd effects.

"Containers painted with black contain poisons! Don't open them!" There were many poisons, and inhaling little of bit could actually cause dangerous substance enter your body. Those containers were sealed with extreme precaution for current era.

The biggest part of Carl's collection were normal herbs, he had few poisons. There was only one container with double seal.

'Is it ultra-potent poison or what?'

[Fire Spark flower]

[Rank: Grade 1 Spiritual plant.]

[Desc: Grows in terrains of strong mythical beasts. Lures all surrounding animals and weaker spiritual beasts to itself.]

[Effects: Stimulation of mutation in animals. Highly addictive.]

'It's ingenious! I need to take it! It's potential is immeasurable and way beyond small village chief like Carl!' This plant was ideal for him, farming space with combination of ranch could create domesticated spiritual beasts.

"Don't touch this container! No! It's dangerous!" Carl was angry when he saw kid trying to open this container.

He spent a few hours on reading and memorizing the knowledge from the scrolls. It wasn't essential to memorize, still getting proficiency points and learning new things was great deal.

Attempt to memorize contents of scrolls granted him grand prize. Knowledge about memorizing techniques was great for developing brain.

[Memorization lv.1(0.4K/1K)]

'New goals for next two months!' Those were carefully thought goals for developing his body and mind.

[2. Train control of his strength!]

[3. Level up professions!]

[4. Grind skills!]

[5. Improve/Level up spaces!]
