Chapter 28: Delia (Part 1)

We found out from the other teen cultivator that they were sent to accompany them in their journey to the sect, as they were already near them. They were staying near the Albion Empire when they were messaged by the sect to escort Alexander's group of orphaned children.

Terra, though, was annoyed by this when she heard about it. She didn't need other cultivators to escort them because, why? There are 1 Nascent Soul and 2 Soul Detachment cultivators here for f*ck sake! And they also have this overpowered baby who has mysteriously learned several elemental magic! Unless an Imprisonment Stage Cultivator comes for them, nothing can kill a single one of them.

I didn't really care about their objective or anything they had to do, I just ordered more beef steak and muttons. It was delicious but later my stomach ached because I ate too much food, and my belly is keeping itself from exploding. I wish I had an ungodly amount of metabolism so that I could eat any food that I want whenever I could!

Anyway, the female teen cultivator introduced herself as Kara, the sister of Aiden. She has short blue hair, aquamarine eyes, white skin, and wore a shirt that reveals her shoulders and a pair of pants so that it won't obstruct her while she's fighting. I always wondered why some cultivators would wear long and big sleeved coats and a long dress; won't that just kill them in a fight?

Aiden has the same features as Kara, except that he's a boy. They are probably twins since they look alike.

Aiden woke up later after fainting from speaking with Vane and gladly agreed to leave us alone. Kara tried to protest but who would want to stay in a group when they've seen what a single baby could do? He was powerless for god sake! He couldn't even look at the baby without flinching!

So we parted ways when tomorrow came, and we continued on our journey for the sect.

(Scene Change)

On day 12 of our journey, we were walking on the pathed road as we talked with each other.

"Harry, can you stop eating for just a single moment?" Flare said, bewildered as to how Harry could walk and eat at the same time. She has been eating a lot, she knows that, but this guy is eating and making a goddamn sandwich while walking! He has a tray attached to him through a rope so that he could use it as his table.

"Leave him alone, Flare. It's not like he's doing anything wrong." I told her while reading a book as we were walking on the pathed road.

"Hmph." She just turned her head away, having recovered most of her smugness and coldness. She's like this even back then before the coma. Lots of smugness for some reason, like a haughty princess.

The trees surrounded us all, with all 49 of us, including the women I rescued from the goblin village, just walking, and walking, and walking… yeah, nothing interesting is happening for some reason. It's just so boring these past few months, that's why I decided to torment that guy named Aiden yesterday. I've got all this strength yet I can't use it!

But soon, we saw the end of the forest, and saw the rocky mountains… yeah… do we have to cross these mountains, too? I should've just told Alexander to use the teleporting talisman. But I guess this is worth it since we will be visiting the Rock Kingdom at the end of these mountains.

The Rock Kingdom is allied with the Albion Empire, and its specialty is metals like silver, gold, iron, and even Mythril! They own the rocky mountains, all of it, that's their land. But even then, monsters lurk the rocky mountains, especially adult drakes and rock golems. That's why it's hard to cross these mountains, monsters are everywhere in the deepest parts.

I groaned, and said, "Can't we just fly around it using wind magic? I really don't want to travel through there just to get to the sect!"

Alexander waved his finger at me, and said, "Tus, tus, no we can't. Not everyone here can use wind magic, Auguste. And especially, not everyone can use multiple elements like you. But if you want to go ahead of us, be my guest! We can manage fine on our own, and besides, you can take care of yourself, right?"

I thought about it for a minute, and said, "Hmm, fine. I'll go on my own, I'll meet you guys in the rock kingdom a few days from now."

After saying a bit of farewell, I took off using wind magic to fly. I'm a novice at wind flying but I think I can manage, I have so much mana in me anyways.

*Woosh*

I flew around the clouds, surveying everything below me. I saw the walls of the rock kingdom ahead of me, around a few dozen kilometers away. It was far but I can see it from the clouds.

It's quite fun flying, and it feels refreshing but occasionally, I would bump into a bird and kill it.

Sorry, Mister Birdy!

I flew past a griffin; the most terrifying experience I've ever had aside from the zombie-ogre. The griffin was nice though, it didn't hurt me or anything, just looked at me and snorted like it was looking at a lower level creature… well, f*ck you, too.

I was flying past the mountains, and saw another monster; a drake. Thankfully, it didn't feel threatened by my presence and didn't attack me. Most drakes are more aggressive than dragons when someone enters their territories, though it seems like this one inherited the laziness of the dragons as it didn't even look at me when I entered its territory in the sky. These beings, tutorial bot said, have a power level of 100,000,000. I can't fight that, I'll be completely destroyed.

Drakes are 30 percent resistant to magic, and that makes them even deadlier. Though, dragons are completely resistant to any kind of magic. It was said that a dragon's only weakness is a physical strength stronger than it, and that's not possible for just any beings to reach. That's why dragons are the strongest creatures to ever exist in the world!

After a few hours of flying, I finally reached the rock kingdom.

I landed on the gravel road, far away from the gates where a long line of people are entering the kingdom, and proceeded to walk normally on land. I then went to the end of the line and saw a pregnant lady in front of me holding a bag of freshly picked herbs.

"Hello, lady!" I said, trying to be nice.

The lady looked down to see a toddler wearing a small tunic and a pair of baby shorts. I also have a children's vintage hat on top of my head.

"Oh, hello there, young boy. Where are your parents?" She asked as she tried to lean a little but couldn't as her belly was bloating already because she was pregnant. She wore a white t-shirt under her brown leather jumper. And, I thought, these clothes are quite expensive since the fabrics used are quite expensive, too. She has brown hair, brown eyes, and pale… skin? That's weird.

"Hmm, I don't have one! I'm from an orphanage!" Parents, huh. Never really cared for my parents ever since they left me to the orphanage 3 years ago.

"Oh, how could such parents leave someone so young in an orphanage? You look quite healthy, so I guess the orphanage you landed on is good, huh?" She said, being so respectful towards a toddler.

"Hm, hm, Alexander is a good guy! He fed me a lot and gave me anything I wanted!" I am speaking like a normal toddler because I didn't want to be rude towards her.

"This Alexander seems like a good person. Where's your orphanage around the kingdom?" She asked.

"Hmm, it's not here! I got lost in the mountains and wounded up here!" I said.

She covered her mouth in shock, and said, "Oh dear, you must be feeling sad right now. Come with me to my house, you must be starving from such a long journey to here."

She didn't know that I ate 6 muttons and 3 breaded pork chops this morning.

Even then, I nodded, "Mhm, that sounds fantastic! I want to see your house, lady!" I said joyfully, and the pregnant woman smiled.

"I'm Delia, what's your name?" She asked.

"I'm Auguste!" I replied.

This is a short arc for me to tell you guys how dark this world I'm building. Delia is going to be a big part of this, so stay tuned!

Also, write a review and drop some stones.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the chapter, stay well, and as always, thank you for reading!

Oh yeah, guys, watch Bo Burnham on YouTube. Listen to this song of his "From God's Perspective". You'll love it, I assure you.
