Coincidentally, the day after Ruben raided the cottage would be a Sunday.
Since he has been informed by Hugo that the overseer seemed very powerful, he thought that it would be wiser to observe from a distance first.
Barging onto an unknown target poses a high risk so he planned to watch on the side and gather more intel on the overseer.
Hoping the overseer has yet to receive news on the raid, Ruben looked for an inn nearby and stayed there with his disguise still on.
The next day, he started preparing himself at noon.
Arming himself with a glock, Assassin's Blade, Demonic Wolf Fang Dagger, 4 throwing star blades, 6 throwing knife and 2 daggers.
He decided to bring the glock as it would be a good weapon to use from a distance unnoticed.
Having bought 2 holster for throwing knives he could attach to his thigh, he stored 3 Throwing Knives and 2 Throwing Star Blades on each thigh.
He got a holster for his gun as well. Storing the daggers in his boots and forearm, he left the inn.
With a hood that covered half of his Disguised face, he hid among the trees 10 meters away from where the exchange would take place.
As soon as sunset neared, he could hear two horses galloping towards the place.
Not long after, he saw two man getting off their horses. One looked like a normal merchant while the other wore a cloak with a hood covering his face.
When he used the Observing Eye on the hooded figure, he was shocked.

Looking at the panel, Ruben felt slightly regretful.
He might be able to kill the Overseer by sneaking up on him but he needed to get information from him.
It's much harder to capture than to kill a person.
Ruben knew immediately that he shouldn't act unless necessary. It would be a difficult fight seeing how high the Overseer's stats were.
"Where the f**k are they?" Ruben could hear the middleman say with a slightly anxious voice.
Before the Overseer could reply he suddenly looked at the direction where Ruben was hiding.
Seeing the Overseer's reaction he immediately activated Stealth to hide his presence completely.
After seeing the Overseer look away, Ruben relaxed.
However, right in front of his eyes, he suddenly saw the Overseer taking out a pistol and shot the middleman in the head killing him instantly.
He then made a swirling black-red portal and walked into it closing the portal behind him.
'Hah... he must have noticed something wrong...'
Ruben wasn't too worried though, he was able to see the man's name before he left, Anslow Ivan.
Growing up as a noble, he naturally learnt the names of many important noble households.
Anslow Ivan seems to be part of the Ivan household that a loyal vassal of the Royal family in the capital.
Ruben left the area right after Anslow closed the portal.
Returning home, Ruben informed the consellations of his absence again, confusing the new viewers making the older viewers explain Ruben's ability.
Putting all his weapons except the daggers in his boots into the space ring, Ruben changed back and stopped his Disguise.

Thinking of everything that's been happening in the capital, Ruben felt like it might be better for him to move there.
He could spend his time there looking for some answers.
Looking at his palm where the star tattoo was supposed to be, he had many questions in his mind.
'Well, I'll just enjoy the way as I go, it seems I've been idle for too long.'
Thinking that his plan of retirement in his second life is most probably over.
'I'll be different in this life, no one will be above me.'
Remembering how he was hunted and used by people who he worked for, Ruben found a new objective in his new life.
To grow stronger and learn more of his past while eliminating any dangers comming his way.
He felt that live in retirement was slightly too boring for him and maybe this was his chance of a new experience as well.
Ruben returned in time for dinner with his family.
After dinner he had a private talk with his father, Charles.
"So what do you need son?" Charles asked Ruben who entered his office.
"Hey dad, I think it's time I told you. A few years ago, I used the money I saved up from my allowance to buy a few inns in the city." Ruben paused and looked at Charles' reaction.
"Ahahahahhaha, it looks like you've been doing something behind our backs while we were busy worrying about your future." Charles laughed. "Now, tell me what you need? Is your business struggling?"
Charles was originally worried of what Ruben was going to talk about with him, but seeing that the topic was unrelated to whatever his brother was involved in, he relaxed.
He was ecstatic to find that his youngest son wasn't as idle as the family thought.
"No, my businesses are doing well. It's just that during my trip to the capital, I thought of expanding my reach there. So I just wanted to inform you as I may have to travel to the capital or elsewhere more often.
Maybe even staying there in the future if it gets busy or difficult. You don't have to worry about the inns I own in the city as I have men managing them." Ruben explained.
He didn't want his family involved in what he is doing.
Ruben was worried that a Marked with the skills to extract information appear later, his family will definitely be their first target.
So it would be best if they knew as little as possible even if they guessed that he was involved in whatever got Theodore where he was, dead.
In the end, them thinking he might be involved was much better then a him confirming himself.
He avoided having to explain himself and the dangers around him.
Listening to Ruben's plans, Charles nod his head and said while thinking, "Do you have enough money to continue with your plans?"
"I have saved up the profits I got from the inns I own in the city. It would be enough for buying a few inns in the capital." He suddenly received a notification from the system as he was speaking.

As soon as Ruben left, he changed and used Disguise before following the system's direction to the dungeon.
He found the dungeon in an attic of a residence of a small family. He sneaked in using Stealth.
The gate which was hidden behind some boxes was about half a meter wide. He would have to crawl to fit through it.
Touching the entrance of the gate which has a deeper orange colour, the system warned him.
