2 Chapter 2

Emily's P.O.V

As I walked into the cold and almost empty mansion I could feel cold sweat down my back and a nerve-wracking sensation tingled through my body as I knew that no matter how well I did for the mission, my Father will always have something to say about it and would never compliment me. As I made my way to the room that we trained as assassins and what we like to call the "heart" It is the central system for us, something like a king's throne room. As I entered the room I saw my father playing chess with my Kelly while Kaylin stood by her side and watched quietly.

"The mission is done. . ." I stood a distance from them, my father stopped whatever he was doing and turned towards me "Good, how many days did you take?" he questioned, my 2 sisters turned around and looked at me as well. "A-about 3 days?" I tried to stay as firm as possible but failed miserably as it is kind of hard when the aura flowing off of him was screaming authority, "3 days? Your sisters took 3 days to finish 2 missions." I stood there with my head hung low as my sisters smirked and cackled at me.

"S-sorry father, I will be faster the next time." He nodded and took a case file out, "this is a new case, Mr. Aaron he is a filthy rich bastard and your next target is his son, Alvin, he sent his son to WoodGrove academy, the academy for the rich and privileged. It is just right here in Roseville town. Your task is to infiltrate the school while pretending to be a student there in order to kill Alvin. With him dead, it will be much easier to take over the business that Aaron is running." After saying that he let out an evil laugh. I couldn't reject a case given by my father so I just simply nodded and took the case file to study it further later on. "Now, go to your room and get ready, you will attend WoodGrove tomorrow, the uniform and books will be sent over to your room later." I hurriedly got out of the room and went back to my room wanting to be out of their presence and back into my hole where it wasn't as stressful.

~In Emily's Room~

"Finally, I am back in my room!" I thought out loud, I threw the case file on the floor and pounced on my bed letting out a sigh of relief. I wonder what will my life be like if my parents didn't die that day in the fire, will I be happy? All I wanted was a normal life but I guess it is just simply too much to ask for. Getting out of my bed I got my towel and went to take a cold bath, allowing myself to think and relax.

Feeling the cold water against my skin, I feel more and more refreshed by the minute and my mind was able to think much clearer. My hand reached out to my necklace that was hanging on my neck, it is shaped like a moon and there was a tiny diamond on it. . . It is the only thing left from my parents, I still remembered the time when I was 6 and my mom gave it to me on my birthday, I had the most amazing time of my life. But it was all in the past. . . Those peaceful and happy days were over the moment they passed away, I couldn't even remember what exactly happened as I fainted due to the smoke. Sighing one last time I got out of the bath not wanting to reminisce the past any longer as it just makes me feel upset and angry at the world for being so unfair to me. . .

After getting out of the bath I went to look through the case files, picking them up from the ground I flipped it open and there was a photo of a brunette guy with eyes as blue as the Circassian's sea. He looks pretty decent and in the photo, he's got a smile that any girl would fall for, well, almost any girl anyway but definitely not me because I am not just any girl. I looked through his profile and memorized all his likes and dislikes as it will help out in the case. After quite some time had passed, I heard a knock on the door, "come in".

In came my 2 sisters, Kelly and Kaylin. They are always by each other's side, they both walked towards me while I straightened myself up and greeted them, "Hey Kelly, Kaylin." They simply rolled their eyes and passed me the uniform and books that father mentioned earlier on. Kelly opened her mouth to speak and every time she speaks, it isn't exactly what I will call nice, "Do not screw this up, this is an important mission and you better be taking it seriously." Kaylin just smirked and they both walked out of the room.

It wasn't like this in the past, we were once close but, not anymore I guess. . . They started to distance themselves from me ever since that time where I got into a fight with Kaylin and punched her face, Kelly got mad and beat me up for that. . . I am all alone now, and well, that is the result for punching my own sisters I guess. I prepared the stuff for tomorrow's mission as I do not plan to fail, after preparing I crawled onto my bed and before I knew it, I was sleeping like a baby. Wishing everything will go well for the mission. . .

Kelly's P.O.V

"Kel, are we being too mean to Emily?" Kaylin asked in a sweet and innocent voice.

"Lin, we have no choice, you know what will happen if we don't be this way to her." Sighing as I patted my lil sister's head.

"Y-yeah I know, I wish we can go back to how it was in the past. . ." I could hear the sadness laced in Lin's voice and that causes me to be upset too.

"Yeah, me too Lin, but that's in the past, let's not talk about it alright? Let's get you some chocolate" once I mentioned the word chocolate, her face lit up just like how the light decorations on a Christmas tree do, seeing her this happy makes me happy too, how I hope everything will be back to how it was in the past soon. . .
