26 Chapter 26

The car was dead silent as no one dared to speak, Alvin had a deadly aura emitting out from him while everyone else were still trying to process everything that happened earlier, everyone besides Ryder that is. He was still sleeping like a log at the other end of the backseat from Alvin.

"Grrrrr. . ." The sound of an empty stomach came growling from Emily's tummy which caused her face to burn up and Alvin to look up at her after unburying his face from her neck.

No words were spoken during the period where his and her eyes met, and it was as if their eyes had a secret language of their own he shifted his eyes away from her and looked towards Ricky.

"Stop by the nearest MacDonald before we head back to the pa-, the house." He corrected himself before he could accidentally expose everything. She didn't even take notice that he corrected himself, normally she will be more alert but currently, her brain wasn't working the way she hoped it will.

Ricky drove on for about 5 minutes and stopped the car by the side of the road, "MacDonalds is up ahead, I can't stop there so you have to walk a little to reach there." With that said, Alvin carried Emily off his lap and got out of the car, he stretched his hand out towards Emily who was still in a daze in the car and she reached out her hand and grabbed onto him. He helped her out of the car carefully making sure she didn't hit her head on the top of the car door.

"Come on, let's get your tummy and you some food," Alvin said before he was about to close the door, but once the word food came out of his mouth, Ryder woke up.

"Did anyone say food? Get me a cheeseburger without any veggie and extra cheese." Ryder was now wide awake and his eyes lighting up in excitement with the mention of food.

"No," Alvin replied with a straight face and did not even bother sparing Ryder a look and simply slammed the car door in his face.

"Let's go, Princess." Emily nodded and followed behind him. The MacDonalds was located at a deserted area with basically no one around besides a few stray cats and dogs lazing on the street not even bothered about the difference in species.

The sun was glaring down at them as they were making their way to MacDonalds, the wind was strong and the leaves were falling, everything seemed normal but at that moment a whip lashed out at them. Alvin sensed it just a moment before the whip reached them and he pushed Emily behind him taking the brunt of the whip.

"Alvin are you okay?" Panic and concern were evident in Emily's voice as she rushed over to him to check the damage inflicted by the whip.

"Emily you disappoint me." A cold and emotionless voice rang out causing Alvin and Emily to look towards the direction of the voice.

"K-Kelly, what are you doing here. Did father sent you?. . ." Her voice was filled with fear as she stuttered. Kelly's eyes held a sense of pain and hurt, but it disappeared as soon as it appeared. The current Kelly was like a robot totally voided of any human emotions.

"You aren't worth it, get lost, today he is the one that is going to be killed." As she said that her whip lashed out once more to strike towards Alvin but this time around he was prepared and his hand caught the whip just in time before it landed on him.

"Emily get to the car."

"No, I am not leaving you here." Emily was torn between Alvin and Kelly as one is the guy who has ever treated her well and the other is her 'sister' she felt at a loss.

"Get into the car now, I will be fine. GO!" He was frustrated at the situation as on one hand there was a crazy girl appearing out of nowhere wanting her life and on the other, he is worried that Emily will get hurt. Emily felt very reluctant but seeing as how he has the upper hand with Kelly's whip in his hand she complied and ran back to the car. When Kelly tried to stop Emily, she felt a strong tug at the end of her whip causing her to lose her balance and almost fell over. That move caught her by surprise as no one has ever been able to cause her to fall over in a battle furthermore catch her whip.

"Prepare to die." That was the last thing she said before things started going haywire. . .

She fished out her pocket gun and took a shot at him hoping it will scare him enough for him to let go of her whip as well as injure him, but instead, it did the opposite of what she hoped for. Instead of injuring him or scaring him, he stood there unfazed and simply moved his body slightly adjusting the angle so that he will not be shot. Furthermore, he exerted energy and pulled hard on the end of the chain whip in his right hand which caused her to lose her balance fully and was sent falling onto the ground in an embarrassing way. Before she could even react to all that has happened and get up, she felt a heavy weight on her back pressing her down to the ground restricting her almost totally then a low and menacing voice sounded out.

"If not for the fact that Emily seems to know you, or you will be dead right here, right now." Before she could even register his words, the weight on her back was gone and not even his shadow was seen.

Kelly got up from the ground and got back to her car defeated and all.

"F*CK?! How could I mess this up. . ." She broke down at that moment when she got onto her car, she slammed the steering wheels and started swearing as tears started streaming down her cheeks and she broke down there and then.

"Lin. . . I will surely kill him and save you, wait for me. . ." She drove off after calming down.

"I will be back Alvin Hartgrove."
