5 System And The Mysterious Man (3)

"Who are you?" Alex asked with a fearful expression.

"Sorry, I can't tell you who I am right now... but you can call me A for the time being." The mysterious figure replied.

Alex's mouth remained silent as his pupil shrank. He just stood there, unsure of what to say or do.

He was in a spacious white room, with only one throne in the center, where the mysterious figure sat.

From his throne, the mysterious figure rose and moved closer to Alex. Alex moved a step back.

"Alex, don't worry; I don't intend to hurt you." the mysterious figure spoke in a calm manner trying in calming Alex.

"Then who are you, and were you the one who brought me here?" Alex asked, still attempting to maintain his distance from the mysterious figure.

"As I previously stated, I cannot tell you who I am, at least not yet. It will be in your best interest not to know. In answer to your second question, yes, I did bring you here. The mysterious figure replied.

"Why did you bring me here?"

The mysterious figure smiled, then said, "Because it's time..."

"Time for what?" Alex wanted to ask, but before he could open his mouth, the mysterious figure cut him out.

"Don't ask!!"

He could tell what Alex was going to say.

"Look, Alex, I know you have a lot of questions right now, and you're confused about what's going on, but you're too weak to know anything right now."

"And because we're running out of time, I'll make it quick."

The mysterious man raised his hand in the air and opened his palm as he spoke. A brilliant object in the shape of a star was visible on his hand when he opened his palm.

"Wooooooooo"

The white throne room began to change as each place began to take on a galactic hue the moment the brilliant star-like object made its presence known.

"Wow!"

Alex now had a shocked expression. He was floating amid a vast number of galaxies. A stunning collection of planets and stars in various sizes, shapes, and colors, some bright and some dim, surrounded him as he looked in wonder at this spectacular sight, as the mysterious man called him, snapping him out of his shocked state.

"Alex, you can admire this sight later."

"There isn't much time left; here, take this."

Alex was approached by the mysterious figure, who held out his hand with the star-shaped object in it.

"Thump-bump."

Alex's heart began to beat more quickly as soon as his eyes landed on the star object.

"What exactly is it?" "How come it looks familiar?"

Alex wondered as he slowly approached the mysterious object. It was an odd sensation for him; he felt as if he had been missing something all along and had finally found it.

Alex got closer to the object.

His heart continued to race. He reached out his hand toward the object but stopped himself from touching it after pausing.

He was a little hesitant to take that final step, not knowing what would happen when he finally touched the object.

The mysterious man spoke after noticing his hesitant expression.

"Alex, don't worry."

"That thing is yours; it will never hurt you, and if you heed my advice, you will only gain from it."

"So don't hesitate and take it."

Alex hesitated, not entirely sure what to make of the mysterious man's offer.

"Fuck it, I'll take this chance; I don't have much of a choice, and that thing gave me a familiar feeling; I'm sure it won't hurt me." Alex thought.

He took a deep breath and reached out to take the thing from the mysterious figure's hands.

The moment his hand touched the object, Alex felt an incredible amount of energy course through his body as the object started shining brighter.

"BOOOOM"

A thunderous sound filled the space, and a flash of light surrounded Alex's body with a dazzle of light. Alex was taken by surprise. His body suddenly felt lighter and more energized, as if the object were somehow transferring its energy to him.

The mysterious figure stepped back and murmured.

"Finally, it's time."

In the dazzling light, Alex started to hear noises inside his head.

[Host found]

[Establishing connection with host]

[Connection established]

[Installing system]

[System installed]

A blue screen suddenly appeared in front of Alex.

[Hello and welcome to the Destruction System]

"A system!?" A surprised look could be seen on Alex's face.

Alex knew what a system meant from his first life memory; how could he not? He'd read several novels with system tags on them, and he knew how OP a system could be.

The light on Alex's body shone brighter as he began to levitate.

[The transfer has been completed.]

[The host will be teleported in 5 seconds.]

[4 seconds]

[3 seconds]

[2 seconds]

Alex's body began to fade. Alex felt his physical form slowly evaporating as the seconds passed.

The voice of the mysterious man rang in his ears before he vanished.

"Alex, before you leave, remember this advice: the place you are going is a place where only the strong have a say in it."

"A weak or soft heart has no place there; remember, never let anybody, no matter how powerful they may seem, whoever he, she, or they are, even if a god and heaven are against you, NEVER BOW DOWN TO ANYONE!"

"WHOEVER DARE TO STAND ON YOUR PATH, CUT HIM DOWN AND DESTROY THe SHIT OUT OF HIM, EVEN IF IT'S HEAVEN ITSELF!"

The mysterious man shouted as Alex's figure disappeared from the place.
