17 Time to move on

Soon after Joseph had returned to the dilapidated house, all the people who witnessed what occurred on the street were slowly coming back to reality with mixed feelings. Those mixed feelings came about from the absence of a corpse, there was not even a spec of blood.

The troublemaker had simply had his existence erased, as the scene replayed in their mind so too did the chill they felt travel up and down their spine, their simple minds attempted to imagine what it could possibly feel like but soon realized it was beyond their scope of comprehension, all that they were left with was fear, simple and absolute primal fear.

While the citizens were still replaying the scene in their mind, Jothal and his squad were also replaying what they had just witnessed, with their training they were able to awaken and look around their surroundings to ensure their safety. That person cloaked in black was too scary for them to deal with and wished above all else in life to avoid having to deal with him, as such when they noticed the person had disappeared from the street they all felt relieved.

"I have to notify the chief about this, it looks like a dangerous Potion Master is in town" - With that Jothal forgot about the person that had just been killed to return back and make a report. Well it's not like he could help the person who had just died there was not even a corpse to investigate and he was sure with all the Gods as his witness he was not going to provoke someone he had no business provoking for some troublemaker scum.

Upon returning to Ann's mother's room, he found the two huddled together in the furthest corner of the room in an attempt to remain hidden. As Joseph had entered the room, Ann burst out from her cover and ran into her Young Master's arms with tears mixed with fear and anxiety streaming down her face.

"We had best leave while we have time, there might be some people who want to ask some questions coming shortly. Questions I don't particularly want to give answers to." - A serious tone could be heard from Joseph's voice.

Both Ann and her mother nodded, they both understood clearly that being from the lower social class despite what had occurred outside on the street they were involved to some degree as such it was best to leave.

As the thought to leave her house finally sunk in her mind she froze, it had never occurred to her that she would one day have to leave her house, the house she had so many memories in.

The joining of hands in marriage to her love.

The birth of their daughter.

The dangerous hunt that took her husband from her.

The tears shed night after night after her loss.

The sickness that was slowly taking from her everything that was her being.

Her daughters return with her savior.

So many memories from oh so many years, it was a mixture of happiness and sadness. She had long stopped frozen in place reminiscing of the past with a few tears running down her cheek.

Ann and Joseph stood in silence, though coming from varying backgrounds in life emotions sometimes seemed to break past such barriers and while thinking about their own life choices and future prospects they awaited in silence.

As she finished reminiscing the life she had lived in this very house, Ann's mother grabbed a couple bags from under the bed and started packing the essentials she would need with the help from Ann. Joseph went to the lounge room near the front door to have a look out the window in the event further trouble came looking for them.

"Why would the young master of the Fallenwind family help us so much? Is there something he wants from us?" - Ann's mother had a variety of emotions running wildly through her mind, the first boy her daughter ever brought back to their rundown home just happened to be the son of a prominent family, not only that but he had given her daughter such a godly pill that restored her body completely back to the peak of health.

The scars on her body had long disappeared after consuming the pill, her body in general seemed to have been returned to a time before she had given birth to Ann. She could feel the perkiness having returned to areas that had been lost to rivers of time.

"He has been selected to run a couple businesses from the family after a testing ceremony the other night. He asked me if I wanted to be his assistant and if I agreed I could be closer to my family." - Ann replied with a blush forming on her cheeks as she suddenly bowed her head.

"So to where are we moving to?" - Curiosity was displayed on her mother's face.
