Prologue (5)

In the cold and snowy road of Franklin City, Isabel and Ziv were desperately running away from the church.

"W-why are we running Isabel? W-we could have just said it to Sister Veronica or Father Luis." he anxiously said to Isabel while looking back at church.

He wants to stop and go back to the church, but Isabel was clasping his wrist that he can't broke out of her grasp. In addition to that, the exhaustion of his body and stress from what he has done earlier, piles up on his body until he didn't have any strength to exert.

"You can't go there Ziv. We need to go somewhere far from here." she said while gritting his teeth because of cold and panic.

While they were walking the road, there's a car that passed the 2 of them and it stopped for a moment before it reverse coming towards their direction.

Isabel notices it and cautiously stares at the car when the door opens a tall, good looking man with silver hair came out of it.

"What are you doing here little guy?" the man asked Ziv.

"Hey Ziv!" the man called him again when Ziv didn't notice him.

When Ziv looked up, he realizes who it was, earlier his mental state is messy and couldn't pay attention to his surroundings above all recognize him.

"Teacher Arthur!" he exclaimed while looking at him with downcast expression.

"Why are you here? It's now winter and cold why are you not in church?" he asked concerned.

"We-" he was about to say anything before Isabel interrupts.

"We can't go back there for now and we didn't have anywhere to stay, Uncle Arthur can we stay in your house for a while?" she hesitates for a while before saying.

"I also heard about that the church is on fire, that's why I was also rushing if everyone is safe there, it seems like you guys are alright, but why can't you go back there?" he asked them while trying to bring them back.

"Actually Mr. Arthur-" Ziv was about to speak when he was interrupted again by Isabel.

"Like I said Mr. Arthur we can't go back there.. We accidentally set the church on fire." she said softly, feeling she can't escape here if she didn't say anything.

"Hmm.. That's makes me want to bring you back more." he thoughtfully said then lead them to his car.

"We can't!' Isabel strongly insists.

"Okay." he said, surprised at her intense reaction.

While they were about to open the door, he suddenly said.

"I'll let you stay in my house, but tell me the truth later, then I talk to Father Luis." he smiled, then went inside the car.

Isabel was stunned at first because she thought she successfully deceived him.

'There's no way out of this.' she thought bitterly while entering the car.

Meanwhile, in the Franklin Church the fire is already resolved and the police take action of investigating the scene.

A stern middle aged man with black hair and muscular body is just strolling around the burnt side of the building when an inspector called him.

"Sir. Morgan, you need to see this." an inspector said while leading the man towards the dungeon that Ziv and Isabel escapes.

Chief Inspector Morgan Mills was lead to a room and saw the burnt body of Father Damascus.

"Sir, according to the people that we asked, the dead person here is Damascus Kirschtein also called as, Father Damascus, he became the priest of this church a year ago and many people, especially women also describe him about his slightly lecherous behaviour and gaze that he gave, we also find some burnt sexual toys in one of these rooms that also confirmed that he was doing something that contradict his priesthood."

"Anything else?" Morgan asked plainly while examining the surroundings and the body.

"Yes. When we further investigate his identity we discover that he had fake identity and fake certification to be qualified as a priest and we also find out his real name Leonel Kyzer he has a record of child molestation, a convicted sex offender and the one you investigating sir, the person who rape and killed the daughter of Elisabeth and Henry Luidivig from Greiton City a few kilometers away from here." he explained while handing out a paper that contains a detailed information of Leonel Kyzer.

"Hmm.. So the case for the Luidivig Family is kinda closed." Morgan said while looking at the report in his hand then he looks at the inspector.

"From what I observed here this is a murder case this Leonel is about to rape someone just like last time, when he got interrupted and killed by someone that will save the person that supposedly going to be violated and killed later."

"When you pay attention to details you can point out some clues in the room, first the position of the body his back is on the ground while the candles on the ground burn him while the killer stab him on the chest, stomach and his back for atleast 10 times if that person blacked out from rage or fear, then because there's a narrow space here the fire spread itself with the help of gasoline that Leonel spill everywhere to erase any evidence just like the last case but this time he's now dead." he deduced it in detailed explanation as if he was on the actual crime.

'He totally deduced all of these things without looking at the report, we discovered, while at the same time uncovering some missing clues we miss out. As expected from Chief.' the inspector thought in amazement.

"Any casualties other than this?" Morgan asked in passing.

"No, sir, but the priest and the nuns of this church is finding a 2 missing kids." he reported.

"Kids.." he mutter silently while his eyes flashes with a strange light.

The people they were mentioning is now panicking and anxious, especially when they start searching everywhere for Ziv and Isabel and couldn't find them for an hour now.

"We already asked the people around the church, but still couldn't find them." Sis. Veronica anxiously said.

"We already asked the police to search for them inside and if they didn't find them there. They should be somewhere, so don't worry too much." Father Luis said while comforting her.

"B-But what if they got hurt or they're in danger? What should we do, we just stand here and let it happen?" she retorted impatiently while feeling anxious about what happened today.

"We just have to wait until there's a result of their investigation." he said helplessly.

While they are talking Chief Inspector Morgan walk out of the church while instructing some police on his way out.

"Mr. Morgan is there any results in your investigation?" Father Luis approached him then inquired.

"Yes, according to our investigation some arsonist just set your church on fire and the kids that you're searching for, we didn't see any of them inside." he said.

"Okay. Take care Mr. Morgan. God Bless." he said then Mr. Morgan nodded.

"They didn't find them inside but we don't need to be disappointed we-" he was about to say what he learned from Mr. Morgan when they saw Arthur walking towards them.

"Hello people." Arthur said while approaching them.

"Hello Arthur, what can we do for you?" Father Luis asked doubtfully.

"I just heard that the church has an accident and so I rush immediately. I have my sympathy." he said sincerely while looking at the burnt part of the church.

"Thank you for your concern Arthur." Father Luis said while preparing to talk about what he learned about Morgan earlier.

"Also, if you're worried about Ziv and Isabel don't worry too much, they're staying in my house." he suddenly said.

"What did you say!?" Sis. Veronica exaggerated exclaimed.

"Ahem.. Sis. Veronica don't lose your composure. Arthur what you said is true?" he said calmly but asked again feeling agitated.

They were worried about the well being of every kids in their orphanage, especially they're all abandoned and all alone, they much deserved some care and love from other people. It's especially given to be worried about them when you live in the same roof as them for many years.

"Yes. That's also why I come here to inform you about it." he explained.

"Thank goodness they're safe." Sis. Veronica asked.

"I also want to discuss something concerning and important about Ziv and Isabel, but it looks like the incident makes you all busy." he added while pointing in the direction of the church.

"Yes, but if it's important we can talk about it inside." Father Luis said while leading him inside.

Arthur bring Ziv and Isabel to his house while they hesitantly let them recount their nightmare experience, while finish hearing their story he let them stay at his house to rest and went towards the church and try to adopt the 2 of them out of pity and concern for their future.

'I can't let them experience the loneliness and loss I went through because of the matter that they shouldn't be experience in a young age.' he thought while resolved himself to help them.

Father Luis and Arthur talk to each other for a long time concerning about many things including, the incident, adoption, and many things.

"Thank you for this discussion Arthur. I'll talk to you again if there's something new on what we talk about earlier." Arthur bid his farewell while Father Luis sees him leave.

"That's a long time discussion you have there with Arthur." Sis. Veronica said while she approached him.

"I think we're going to have another Gregor, but this time they're too young." Father Luis said without looking at Sis. Veronica shocked face.

"B-but why are they leaving?"

"It's complicated." Father Luis sighed helplessly.

"That's not acceptable explanation." Sis. Veronica can't accept the fact that they're going to leave the orphanage.

The approval for adoption with Ziv and Isabel is quite fast and some people can't accept the fact that they will leave their tiny little home such as; Sis. Veronica, Sis. Lily, Mrs. Fiona and the remaining kids at the orphanage.

All of them are both sad and loss when the time that they will see them off, they actually cry for a very long time in front of the church before Arthur brings them home.

The years has passed quickly both Ziv and Isabel are having their therapy and treatment to forget about their experience in the past.

They got used to Arthur, who they become their foster parent while supporting and helping them recover from their past, they miss their previous lifestyle before, but they couldn't do it without having any guilt or having occasional mental breakdown.

As they continue their therapy it helps them control their emotions and live a normal life, go to school, have some friends, have some fun and other things that they do before.

They both become independent when they reach 18 years old they went to their own path, Ziv went to a College of Visual and Performing Arts far from Franklin City to pursue his passion about Opera, Arts and Music while Isabel stray from what she originally want before and she went to Geryhin Army to achieve strength and power to protect herself and her love ones.

In Griffeth City the entrance examination on College of Perpetual.

"Well, we can do this Ziv let's just do like we always do. Woohoo!" a handsome young man with blonde hair and atlethic body energetically said.

"Stop shouting dude, it's embarrassing." he said in a low voice.

"It's alright~! Hehe~!" Matt said with sparkling eyes.

Matt Kleibörg the most enthusiastic and cheerful person you see, we've been friends for about 5 years from high school until college and I know for a fact that hidden from that smile of his is something that most people would be terrified of.

"Whatever dude, just do whatever you want." Ziv plainly said.

"Anyways, I hope that there's something fun happen in this few years in college." Matt said pouting.

"Yeah, I hope you're right." he replied while looking at the college gate with a lot of people that walking in to apply for the examination.

'This is my new dream and hope.' he thought while taking a deep breath.

"Okay! Let's go!" he said loudly.

"Yaay~! Aye Aye Captain!" Matt saluted before following him.

"You said that I stop shouting, but you shouted instead what logic~?"

"Shuttup Matt!"
