260 Chapter 259: Rescue

At this moment, Balthazar saw iron chains binding the stone statue. He was about to use magic to bring it closer when footsteps approached from behind. The person was Maxim.

"The feeling of being trapped in the quicksand carpet is unpleasant, isn't it?"

Balthazar sneered, "It's not something I can't accept. Why don't you come in and experience it yourself?"

Maxim bypassed the quicksand carpet and came to Balthazar. He asked, "Did you bring the nesting dolls?"

Looking at his former companion, Balthazar slowly said, "Maxim, you actually sealed Davy in the nesting doll. He is the bloodline successor of our teacher."

Maxim shrugged, "Let him experience it too, the feeling of being imprisoned. Remember, I spent centuries inside."

Then Maxim pointed his wand at Balthazar. The gem on the wand emitted a blue light, and he said, "Balthazar, don't talk nonsense. Did you bring the nesting doll containing Morgana?"

"Forget it, I'll check it myself."

Maxim waved his hand, and a gray smoke emerged, swirling around Balthazar before entering his leather jacket.

"So it was hidden here."

Maxim waved his wand, and the nesting doll in Balthazar's arms flew out and landed in his hands.

After examining the nesting doll, Maxim furrowed his brows slightly and asked, "Why is it so much lighter? Where are the other sealed persons?"

"Forget it, as long as Morgana is still inside."

While speaking, Maxim waved his wand, and a standing mirror transformed into a magical prison fell from the ceiling. It was meant to completely confine Balthazar.

Then Maxim left the room without looking back. He knew that Balthazar's strength was comparable to his, and these methods could only control him temporarily, not for long.

"Drake, drive. We're going to Pao Tai Square to perform the unsealing and resurrection magic directly."

He needed to rush to Pao Tai Square now and release Morgana, who was sealed inside. Only then could he face the combined force of Balthazar and his apprentice without fear.

On the other side, Charles and Ginny returned to the office.

As Charles walked in, Iruka approached him, saying, "Lord Charles, Balthazar was looking for you. After confirming you weren't here, he left in a hurry."

Hearing Iruka's words, Charles frowned slightly, "Ginny, you go order food. I'll see what's going on."

Charles headed towards the training room, opened the door, and activated his Sharingan.

"Sharingan, Open!"

The crimson two-hooked Sharingan appeared in Charles's eye sockets as he scanned the round table in the training room. He discovered that the nesting doll, which had been placed there all along, was now missing.

Seeing this, Charles knew something had happened. He took out his phone and dialed David's number.

"The number you dialed is out of the service area and cannot be reached momentarily."

Hearing that it was out of service, Charles knew that something had indeed gone wrong. As for why he didn't call Balthazar, it was because his teacher didn't have a cellphone and thus no phone number.

Charles left the training room and approached Ginny. He spoke, "I'm sorry, but I can't join you for dinner. I have a situation to handle."

Understanding, Ginny replied, "Go take care of your business. There will be other opportunities for meals."

Charles nodded and formed hand seals, saying, 'Summoning Jutsu!'

After a puff of smoke, Parker appeared before him. Charles took Balthazar's used cup and said, "Parker, help me find the owner of this scent."

Parker sniffed the cup and said, "Leave it to me!"

Watching Parker rush outside, Charles followed suit, leaving the Agency.

Ginny, observing Charles's departure, slammed her fork onto the table. She then asked Iruka, who was nearby, "What happened?"

Seeing Ginny's anger, Iruka smiled and said, "It seems that something happened to Charles's magic teacher."

"What? Magic teacher?"

Iruka nodded and confirmed, "Yes, the magic teacher who came a few days ago."

Ginny's expression changed, and she asked, "Can you tell me about this magic teacher?"

Smiling, Iruka said, "I'd be happy to, Secretary Ginny."

At this moment, New York had entered the nighttime, and the moon hung high in the sky.

Parker led the way with Charles following closely behind. The two moved at high speed, like a whirlwind passing through the people on the street. Before anyone could see who was running, they had already vanished.

At the SHIELD alarm center, the alarm bells suddenly rang.

A personnel monitoring the situation immediately spoke up, "There's Chakra energy on the main road in Queens, and it's moving at high speed."

Agent Coulson entered, immediately saying, "Pull up the surrounding surveillance footage!"

The staff quickly brought up the monitoring videos around Charles's running path.

In the footage, there was only a fleeting shadow, making it impossible to identify who it was.

"Slow down the playback."

After slowing it down by twenty times, Coulson finally saw the running figures clearly on the monitor. It was Charles Doyle and his ninja dog, Parker.

Seeing the two on the screen, Coulson contemplated for a moment before saying, "Continue tracking this energy source. I want to know where he ends up."

He then left the monitoring room and headed straight for Director Nick Fury's office.

Opening the door to Fury's office, Coulson spoke directly, "Director, in the newly established Chakra energy monitoring room, we detected a burst of Chakra energy."

"At present, we've confirmed it to be Charles Doyle, who is running through the city at sonic speed. Specific details are yet to be detected."

Fury nodded, then said, "Looks like the gadgets from the Scientific Research Institute are indeed effective."

"I thought they were trying to fool me with counterfeit goods. Let's go together and take a look."

After speaking, Fury got up from his chair and walked towards the office door.

On the other side-

Parker arrived at the foot of a building. Turning to Charles Doyle, he said, "This is the last location where the scent disappeared. It's in this building."

"Let's go up!"
