14 You are sick

Post the presentation, Susan heaved a sigh of relief.She assumed that over the weekend she could rest. But before leaving for the day, Samuel assigned her one more task which had to be presented next week, so she continued working over the weekend since she knew that over the weekdays Samuel wouldn't leave her free & she was right.

This continued for more than a month & Susan felt exhausted & tired all the time, even her colleagues felt pity on her & were glad they didn't get the position. Samuel seemed very strict about deadlines & was firm on it.

After 6 weeks, Susan finally found one weekend free & as she was making plans for going out for a movie with Eva , she received a call from Samuel asking her to report to office in 30 mins. Susan couldn't refuse & somehow dragged herself to office. She was surprised when she entered office. Her cubicle was decorated & her colleagues were present & wished her birthday.

Somehow, working non-stop for long hours had made her forget about her own birthday. Samuel had organized surprise for her birthday & arranged lunch for his team. Eva was present & smiling at her hinting she knew about this surprise all along. But somehow, Susan started feeling uncomfortable after sometime. She felt dizzy & suddenly , she rushed to washroom.She puked for 2 times & she blacked out.

When she opened her eyes, she still felt dizzy. Slowly, she looked around to realize that this was not her home, nor her office but she felt familiar with the surroundings. She again strained her eyes & look properly & realized it was guest room at Samuel's home where she had spent a night before.

Just then, Samuel entered the room with a plate with bowl. He kept his hand on her forehead & said, "Thank god, fever is gone, why didn't you tell me before that you are sick?"
