1 Chapter 1: Dirty Monkey

"Highschool!" Louise screamed at the top of her lungs as she ran around her room like crazy. Grinning, she checked herself in the mirror. Her attire was just superb.

Cap, check!

Baggy clothes, check!

Torn pants, great!

Sneakers, perfect!

Louise made a turn, admiring her appearance. This was a new adventure to her, and with her fashion sense, she would definitely stand out against the crowd of freshmen students.

Laughing loudly, she said to herself, "You're perfect, Archer!"

"Louise? Hurry! You're going to be late!" Her mom knocked on her door.

"Yes, mom! Five minutes more!"

"Faster!" her mom snapped.

After fifteen minutes of dilly dallying and ten minutes of making herself presentable, she walked out of her room. Her mother's disapproving face appeared in her imagination and she knew she was in for a roasting.

Louise went down the stairs with swag and confidence, and when her mom looked up, the hand holding a cup trembled. The delicate porcelain cup almost fell from her hands, and she violently gasped, even spasmed like she was having a panic attack.

"What are you wearing?" Her mom looked horrified, as if Sadako came out of the television. She pointed at Louise like it was the end of the world.

"Clothes," Louise replied, and shrugged her shoulders. She didn't like her mother's fashion sense.

She moved like she was one of the boys. Louise had the perfect mentors. Having four brothers would do that to you. She was the real king in the house, and could do anything she wanted… aside from one thing.

A few years from now, she would have to marry a dirty monkey.

Eeeeewww! That bastard had contracted so many bacteria with his womanizing ways. Louise trembled when the idea popped into her head.

She didn't want to take a step closer to him. Not now, not ever. That was why it was her most important mission to make sure that he wouldn't like her to the point that she would disgust him! Maybe she could force him to break the engagement himself.

"Oh my God!" my mother screamed in a shrill voice, fanning herself as if she was about to faint. The maids hurried to her side. "Look at my daughter's clothes!"

One of the maids playfully wink at Louise, and the latter grinned. Then, she rushed to her mother's side, kissed her cheek, and ran away like a pack of wolves was after her.

"Louiiisssseee!" Her mother's high-pitched voice echoed in the enormous mansion. "Capture her for me! Louisssseeee!"

A car parked in front of the house. She jumped in, and Louise told the driver to go. The car sped away, leaving her fuming mother stomping her feet outside their home.

Today was a great day, Louise said to herself. There were many things making her happy.

Louise laughed inwardly when Axel's face flashed in her memory. She looked forward to seeing Axel Rossi's face when they would meet in school! Giggling, she covered her mouth as she imagined him bursting in anger that a vein in his head would pop.

Axel and she only met a few times, mostly on important occasions. And when it happened, she would make sure to fulfill her purpose: make his blood pressure rise!

He was a playboy, jerk, asshole, bastard, arrogant, and bad-tempered idiot! She didn't want him to be her fiancé. Also, he had always criticized her!

Boys like him were dirty monkeys! He was a dirty monkey because he kept on clinging and sucking the girl's lips every time we met!

God, he's insufferable, Louise thought in her head. At the age of thirteen, she witnessed him kissing someone.

Ugh! Just the image made her want to puke. She couldn't forget the look in his eyes when their eyes locked for a moment. He was sixteen back then!

He always told her she was undisciplined, untalented, and ugly. She pouted as the words echoed in her ears, as if he was at the side, repeating the words.

Rolling my eyes, I scoffed, "He's the one who doesn't have a taste!"

"Young lady, did you say something?" the driver asked me as he maneuvered the car to the academy.

"Nope, can you go faster, uncle? Like the ones in racing?" her eyes shone as she urged the driver to go faster. The driver helplessly sighed, and a doting smile graced his lips. Their young miss was simply incorrigible!

The driver sped while Louise consciously touched her face. Then she turned on her phone's camera and used it as a mirror. There were a few pimples on her face—a few insistent poppers—but she still believed she was beautiful with or without the approval of others.

Louise smiled cutely, believing that she was so beautiful, her beauty would eclipse the sun. Her confidence was overflowing because her brothers made sure to treat her like one.

After traveling for more than twenty minutes, a towering building comparable to a palace appeared in view.

Finally, she was in high school!

*************

Here he comes! Louise spit out the chewing gum she was chewing and waved at Alex who was talking to someone else.

Axel stiffened when the gray-haired girl at the side came closer: it was Louise! His eyes widened a bit, and his breathing changed.

What the hell is she doing here? Axel flustered. Nothing good would come out if she was here.

Louise stood, tapping her foot on the ground as she waved at him. She basked at the horrified look on his face, she thought he was handsome that way. Even more handsome if his face reddened in anger.

The boy was certainly very gorgeous with his asian-italian blood, signature blue eyes and jet-black hair. Louise's smile turned wider as she said to herself that this would be the start of their entanglement. She ran toward him.

"Hi, Axel!"

"Who are you?" he growled; his face turned pale to red. Blinking innocently, Louise appeared nonchalant.

"Eh? Do you have amnesia? Woah, was falling on your butt last month injured your brain? Does it still hurt?" she spoke as loudly as she could, drawing onlookers.

His eyes turned red in anger.

"But, wait, how was this connected? You FELL ON YOUR BUTT, not on your head," Louise said it again, emphasizing the words.

Someone snickered from the groups of onlookers.

Louise laughed inwardly. Take that!

The captain of the football team, and the famous Mr. Perfect fell on his butt a month ago so disgracefully.

"Oh, my! Maybe I should show the video to the doctor so they can see how it happened. After all, you need to stay in bed for a whole day because of it." Louise scrolled on her phone.

The surrounding people began to look interested. They gave her a curious look and swarmed around her.

"Louise Archer!" Axel's voice boomed, and he dragged her away. Louise struggled to keep up with him; she hated that she had short legs.

Axel pushed her inside an empty classroom. Louise nonchalantly leaned on a table and picked on her nose while he locked the door. When he turned around, his face contorted with disgust.

"Can you be any more disgusting, Louise? You're in high school, maybe you should try to be normal." Axel's voice rose.

The dislike on his face was clear; the end of his lips stretched into a thin line and his hands trembled. His left eye twitched, indicating that it stressed him out.

Great, one point for me! In Louise's imagination, she patted herself on the back for a job well done.

"I'm normal, duh." She rolled her eyes.

"And why are you here? Aren't you going to Thomas Prime? Why did you enroll here?" he bombarded Louise with questions; his brows furrowed.

"What could be the reason? Of course, I want to take a look at my fiancé," Louise replied to him, wiping her finger on her shirt.

His face blackened more.

"What fiancé? You don't have a fucking fiancé here," he retorted.

"As far as our parents said, I have a fiancé, and it's you. Unless you're not Axel Rossi?" Louise asked him. "I told mom that it's time that we get to know each other better. It's best if we become close in school."

Axel...I'll make sure that you're going to dissolve this engagement, since I can't. She really wanted to forget about this once and for all.

"You dare!"

She shrugged her shoulders and kicked the door open like a hooligan. Then she ran away in a flash because she knew she couldn't get away with it if Axel exploded like a volcano.

"Axel Rossi, this is destruction of property!" Louise heard a teacher shouting as she ran faster, turning around the corner. She laughed because Axel would be the one to clean up her mess. What was the use of being her fiancé if he didn't help her?

She hurried to her classroom, still laughing.

Ah, Axel, this time it's my win!
