Kōtei no michi

Hell. A place where the Souls of Sinners, known as Togabito, are forever tormented for their crimes. Should any Togabito die while in Hell, they will continuously be revived to prolong their suffering. Likewise, should a Human, Shinigami, or Quincy enter Hell and die there, they will automatically be revived as a Togabito. A highly enigmatic place, Hell is considered a separate realm from the Three Worlds: Soul Society, the Human World, and Hueco Mundo, and even predates their creation at the hands of the Soul King. One of the reasons the Human World was created was so it could serve as a "lid" to seal off Hell from the rest of existence.

There are Five levels of Hell: - The First Level of Hell features a multitude of white blocks floating in mid-air among a series of blue pathways. It is on this level that many of the dejected Togabito reside, having given up on resistance. The Spirit energy of the first level is so strange that normal people would go insane just from coming into contact with it.

-The Second Level of Hell is mostly composed of a large body of water. Within this large expanse of water, are a multitude of stone water lilies, in the center of which lies a pierced skeleton of a Kushanāda.

- The Third Level of Hell is a rocky, barren landscape with various craters in which yellow lava forms.

- The Fourth Level of Hell starts off with a hilly area in which there are a multitude of small domes jutting out of the ground. From the opening in the face of a cliff, a thundering waterfall with the yellow lava rains down around it. The sand which emits trace amounts of Reiatsu is comprised of the crushed bones of millions of Togabito, who turned to ash due to the hopelessness of their predicament. This section then crosses over into a giant skeleton resembling the ones which make up the Gates of Hell. This overlooks a pit of lava, which has the ability to resurrect killed Togabito. Around the skeletal structure, is a series of pillars and a set of stone fingers.

- The Lowermost Level of Hell is composed of a black landscape, with many irregular columns covered in veins of lava jutting out from the ground. The Kushanāda are capable of materializing from within these lava columns.

Remembering this information Layla nods her head. 'Hell is our only hope, the notion that Hollows are all initially evil needs to be changed. We must free ourselves of that stigma, only with power can Hollow once again be recognized as a valid group.'

Kisuke's eyes evaluated the Hollow in front of him with interest, they both were at least the Level of a Captain in terms of spirit energy and their intelligence didn't seem any lower than his.

"Aizen wants to use us as a tool for his experiments and games. For years we lived in the Dark of Hueco Mundo but we have grown bored of that way of life, as of now we are at the top of the Hollow food chain yet we are nowhere near the pinnacle of this world. For Example, the Head Captain of the 13 Court Guard Squads, if he were to seriously attack us we wouldn't last 5 seconds." Layla said this as she looked down at her hands that started to resemble a humans once more.

"Aizen while not stronger than The Head Captain at this current moment in time has the intelligence to manipulate everything to follow his will. We Hollow at the lower ranks are nothing more than mindless entities driven by instinct to survive, the law of the Jungle has been ingrained into the very core of our being. Yet at the higher levels, we start to understand the ways of the world and are capable of more than just slaughter, yet once we achieved this state of being we were forced to bow our heads by an existence of a completely different species. In order to regain our freedom, we must gain power. Power is what will allow us to break free of the shackles that bind us to serve Aizen." Clenching her fists so tightly they bled Nel listened to Layla's speech with emotions she had yet to understand brewing.

"Power is what will allow us Hollow to change the narrative on what we truly are, we need to become Arrancar with our own efforts only then can we assist you all in bringing down the man that pulled you from your lofty life as the Captain of Squad 12 to a shabby shop owner."

Kisuke stayed silent for a long time as the words the Vasto Lorde spoke played repeatedly in his head. Looking up at the powerful Bunny Masked Hollow he felt a bond that could only be understood by people who have been oppressed.

"Under normal circumstances, the only way to access Hell is to be branded a "Sinner" upon death, after which the Gates of Hell will manifest in the Human World and pull their victim in before disappearing again. Only Soul Reapers that have been taught a special Kido are allowed to enter and leave Hell freely. As Hollow, your constitution does not allow you to learn Kido, however, your Cero is similar in principle to Kido." Raising his hand Kisuke concentrated spiritual energy into his hand, similar to the gathering of spirit energy a Hollow does when it charges a Cero.

"In order for you to enter hell, we must create a new method that allows non-sinning hollow to enter and exit Hell at will. Keeping that in mind I do not recommend Hollow below the Vasto Lorde class entering hell. As Individualistic Gillian and Adjucha still struggle maintaining their sense of self Hell would cause them to regress into Mindless Gillian. Hollow Power is enhanced in Hell so being there will be a benefit on it's own." Dispersing the Energy he gathered Kisuke lead the duo to an area deeper in the Training grounds. There the Small Black cat that was following them turned into her original human form.

Thus the development of the Kōtei no michi began.
