Hueco Mundo, know as the Hollow world is a dimension that resides between the World of the Living and the Soul Society. Within this realm, there are creatures known as hollow which are born from deceased human souls that lose their hearts to despair or regret. Within this realm, a new hollow was being born. This soul that formed this hollow was that of a young girl from Modern Day earth.
As the moon in the sky shined its silver light down the thin reishi in the air converged as the sand formed a mini-tornado. Within the tornado of reishi, the Hollow's mask began to form, a bright white light shined that took the shape of a Rabbit's face. From the mask, the rest of the body began to form, matching the mask the body of a rabbit formed with bright blue fur and a hole in the midsection of the body.
The dark eyes illuminated with ethereal blue light, the Rabbit like hollow looked around as it's little head turned 45 degrees in confusion.
'What the fuck is this?!'
The last thing Layla remembers was surviving another grim day of work, on her way back to her apartment her heel got caught in the manhole cover. Of course, as she was J walking like everyone does in the great city of New York traffic eventually reached her and like a bug, she went splat as a trunk ended her life.
'Holy shit! I'm Dead! Well alive, but I died already!'
Looking around at the environment it dawned open her where she was.
'This Dark night sky without a single star in the sky, this Cresent moon.' Moving her paws through the white sand, when she came to the conclusion on where she was her body went limp.
'This is Hueco Mundo! I recognize those pine needle-like trees anywhere! Which means that I am a Hollow.' It was like winning the lotto only to realize the ticket was misprinted and you couldn't claim it. Layla felt her mood hit rock bottom as she thought about her current life. Looking down at her small body she felt disgruntled as she remembered the plot of the show.
'Hollows are one of the 4 main life forms in the world with the other three being Humans, Soul Reapers, and The Quincy. Out of all of those Humans are the weakest, Soul Reapers are the most favored, The Quincy are like the other side of the coin when compared to soul reapers, while the Hollow are just considered a nuisance.'
'Hollows are filled with a constant desire to devour souls where they are living or dead to fill the void. We Hollow, are basically the rodents of this world, unwanted and live without a true purpose but striving to satisfy a hunger that will never be satisfied.' Looking around the area Layla saw a vast desert that stretched as far as the eye could see and beyond that.
'The only thing that matters in Hueco Mundo is strength! This may be my only chance at another life so I can't waste it here! Based on my memories only the small Hollow that can survive on the reishi in the air dwell on the surface of Hueco Mundo. These small Hollow can not contend with those below the surface.' Her Blue eyes focused as she made up her mind.
'The only way for hollows to get stronger is to devour souls.' As she fell deep in thought Layla noticed a "+" in the lower left of her vision focusing on it caused a sound to vibrate throughout her head.

Countless numbers of symbols flooded Layla's vision as a grid appeared with numerous dots and connections made haphazardly. After an undetermined amount of time, the symbols cleared and all that was left was a blue blob floating above the desert sand. The Blob was about the size of an apple, glowing brightly it began madly absorbing reishi.
The phenomena caused the area to be illuminated in a bright blue light that gave off an extremely oppressive feeling. So oppressive in fact that far away an Old man with scars tattering his body, his white coat had the character "1" written boldly on his back opened his eyes, and stared at the sky for a short time. The Old man let out a low grunt before continuing with his duties.
The Light gradually faded as the blob made it's way into Layla's body fusing with her.
"Activation of Spirit Matrix complete! I am your guide, Zuex! You may direct any questions you have towards me and I will help you to the best of my Abilities!" The Voice sounded like that of a young boy, yet it had a calming effect that made Layla want to hear it more.
Layla paused as she was extremely flabbergasted by the situation prior to the Spirit Matrix, yet her false bravado was shattered by the newcomer.
"So Zuex, what is the Spirit Matrix?"She was given no prior knowledge about this strange thing yet now it is here in all its glory.
"All Hollow are given a method to advance to the higher tiers from basic Hollow to Vasto Lorde. The Spirit Matrix takes different forms depending on the level of intelligence the Hollow has from birth therefore I was created to assist you! The Spirit Matrix allows you to quantify the number of souls needed to advance from your current level to more powerful ones. Not only that but Evolution is also possible!" The inflection of Zuex's voice varied yet overall his enthusiasm could be felt clearly.
"Well now…." Layla's mind replayed the words a few times before she formulated another question.
"So what are the differences between advancing a level and Evolving?" She inquired.
"Hollows are separated into 6 classifications: Fledgling, Hollow Grande, Gillian, Adjucha, Vasto Lorde, and Arrancar. These levels represent the combat strength of the Hollow from Lowest to Highest currently you are a Fledgling. Now Evolution is the tricky one, while hollows are created from human souls this also gives them the greatest potential, through evolution you can gather powers unique to other hollows. The Higher your combat power the more you can evolve, also these evolutions aren't limited to Hollow powers."
"Be more detailed about evolving it's vague." Layla said this but inside she was on could nine as she thought about what's to come.
"Well currently you are a mammal type Hollow, a rabbit to be specific and you have zero special traits or abilities. Yet if you absorb the soul of a Reptailan type hollow not only will your power increase you will gain the positive characteristics of that hollow type to enhance your own abilities."
