The apple was bit into, he can never go back for he was now the Serpent

10 years later...

The city was picturesque, Daibutsus on top of sky scrapers, wyverns flying above, cars below the floating train tracks, magic filled this world, essentially replacing the science of your world. The sky was a bright blue the sun shining down on the golden Buddha's that rested above the titanic buildings.

A boy walked into a train.

He was fairly short, 5'6 or close to that, he was skinny but had a sort of toned look to him. His ears were hidden by his long hair most of it tied in a ponytail but some of it draped over his right eye, further more his right eye was hidden away by an eye patch, a shame for his left eye radiated a bright orange with a black spiral pattern on it. His name Apollo, no surname, just Apollo and he was heading towards the entrance exam for the top magic school in the country, Shander Academy.

The entrance exam was not like other schools, it was combat based, when graduated you would become an official sorcerer and would be sent on missions, in order to make money, some of the richest men and women on earth were sorcerers, wielders of magic.

The train then creaked as it came to a stop.

Apollo had arrived at his destination.

He walked out of the train slowly, sweating out of anxiety, he had already committed to this (and would be fined if he was a no-show) so he pushed forward into the school.

He reached the area where all exam candidates were, they all looked at him strangely and Apollo knew why, he was a Dark Elf. He stood their an outcast, until a girl approached him

"Name?"

"Huh?"

"Your name, idiot"

"Oh me, it's Apollo"

"Apollo Huh? No surname?"

"Yeah..."

"Well I'm Y'okk Van Brach, and you'd be pleased to know that I'm the vessel of Odin, the all father, and  in pity I approached you"

The girl was beautiful, white hair, blue eyes, quite the looker

Apollo stared at her and smiled

"Ooo that's nice Y'okk "

But his mind thought of other things

(("This girl is SO annoying, what the hell, who introduces themselves like that??? Is she a r-))

But his thoughts were cut short by Y'okk

"What type of magic, do you have knife ear, something to do with bows?"

Ignoring the racial slur and the stereotype she just projected on him Apollo replied

"Oh no no no, I have a different type of magic, you'll see when I'm up."

Y'okk tilted her head and let out a "Hmph!"

"I guess I will" she then walked away

Looking around Apollo noticed the other participants, he saw a boy around his age but taller, black hair, black eyes, a tired look to him, then parallel to him was a boy with long hair, very feminine, only reason you could tell it was a boy was because he was showing his bare chest, the boy had a wide smile he looked excited, he had small horns on each side, seems like he was a type of demon.

Apollo continued looking at the other participants until the speakers rang

"GOOD AFTERNOON MY DEAR AUDIENCE MY NAME IS EGE AND ILL BE YOUR HOST TODAY FOR THE 56TH ANNUAL ENTRANCE EXAMINATION IN SHANDER ACADEMY, NOW MAY WE CALL THE FIRST PARTICIPANTS"

Apollo watched as two men in the schools uniform appeared and took a boy with bright red hair and a plain looking girl with brown hair. They were both guided into the arena, but as the boy crossed Apollo he glared at him and muttered "filthy knife ear"

The speakers went of again

"FIRST MATCH DAGON AMADEUS... VERSUS... HISTORIA MORDRUHE"

And like that the first battle began
