Expedition I

Such problems aside, it was time for his expedition and since his gear was made for his more secretive identity, he could not use them for the expedition but, as he was participating in the capacity of a mage, his staff, the Sceptre of Maledictum, ought to be more than enough.

Without further ado though, the expedition forces composed of the Loki an Hephaestus Familias set off to the Dungeon.

Many lower leveled members of both familias had the opportunity to come. This served as both a way to more safely experience lower floors and as a way to learn by watching their higher leveled seniors work.

Since part of the expedition's purpose was to teach the less experienced members of both familias, the time it took to reach the final destination of the main group was quite a bit longer than it could have been.

Not to mention, the expedition was split into three groups that would set off at different times to prevent crowing of the upper and middle floors of the Dungeon with a rendezvous point being set at the divide between the lower floors and the deep floors.

Still, a few days down the line, the entire group had reached the 50th floor the safe point where the newly discovered fortified town could be found.

Once they reached the fortress town, the group entered after paying a fee and spread out through the fortress to check everything about the magical place out.

There was storage where they coulçd deposit their things, various shops where they could restock on supplies and sell their loot before going up so they did not have to carry it all the way and even rentable workshops for the various craftsmen that came along to maintain the others' equipment.

Other than that, to the junior members of the familias, as they no longer had any duties to perform most of the time since they would not be diving any deeper into the Dungeon, the various recreational facilities became a major boon. They also helped the higher leveled folk unwind from the stress of constant battle and vigilance.

Naturally, the quality of the installations and service was truly top notch, even if golems were the ones doing the service.

Everyone settled right in and decided to spend two days unwinding and preparing before challenging the deeper floors.

They were a fun two days, which Nox spent fooling around with Tsubaki, leaving certain members of the Loki Familia feeling quite jealous.

Tiona and Lefiya seemed to be looking a Nox with a strangely jealous glare and even Ais seemed to be slightly pouty.

Speaking of pouting, Nox got the chance to see Riveria pout for the first time in his life due to these two days. She was unbearably cute, so much so that Nox kissed her pouting away instantly.

Still, even though Nox knew the girl were attracted to him, its was not like he didn't spend time with them either so he did not know why they glared at him so.

Only when Tsubaki arrived to join the group diving deeper into the Dungeon and the glares intensified. did Nox realize his escapades did not go unnoticed.

Still everyone there was a professional and when the time to go came, they got their game faces on and were ready to get down to business.

The group was composed of Nox, Lefiya, Ais, Tiona, Tione, Tsubaki, Bete, Riveria, Gareth and Finn. They went near the door to leave where Nox's Heavenly aspect appeared before them with a warning.

'This is Nox too? He feels quite different.' Most of the people in the know had variations of this thought.

Ais in particular felt this version of Nox was true pure spirit, just like her mother . . . She wanted to draw closer and bask in his aura but held herself back so as to not draw any suspicion onto Nox.

"To what do we owe the pleasure?" Finn asked.

"A group of strange monsters are currently smashing against the gate. I came to merely warn you so that you might be ready to face them as soon as the gate opens." The Heavenly Aspect said.

"Since this is your city and they are banging on your gate . . . Why don't you do the courtesy?" Tsubaki inquired.

The Heavenly Aspected stopped for a bit before responding.

"Fair enough." It said.

The gate opened the thos caterpillar like Virga charged at them, catching the adventurers off guard.

The Heavenly aspec waving his hand though and a countless reddish magic circles flared into existence before it, producing a massive firestorm that cleaned the entirety of the tunnel that led to the 51st floor of monsters.

"It is done." It aid and disappeared.

'That power . . ." Finn thought.

The others two held similar thoughts. Apparently, Nox was far more powerful than they though. After all, the heavenly aspect was simply one third of Nox and not the whole package. All of them just wanted to stare at the culprit behind all of this but they held themselves back since Lefiya remained ignorant of the truth.

"Let's go!" Finn commanded.

Riveria cast protection magic on the entire group while Nox casted enhancement magic and they charged forth.

The strategy was much the same as before. Clear the 51st floor, run until the Valgang Dragons at the bottom of the Dragon Vase, the 58th floor begin sniping the group through the floors using their fiery breath and jump down one of those holes with Nox's magic to shield them.

Only after clearing the 58th, they would then proceed further below rather than walking back up.
