She rushed me with her blade drawn. Attempting to strike me with the sword. Slicing crossways in an attempt to slice my chest open. Her blade just clanged off my chest without causing me any harm. I snorted slightly in irritation.

I didn't really care for that. I wrapped my tail around her middle, and picked her up. She swung her blade at me again. I bit down on the blade with a snarl. Stopping it from hitting my poor tail.

My teeth extended, and snapped the blade. I had to stop myself from asking her what the fuck she was thinking. I tossed her away from me. It was a light toss so she was able to regain her footing really easily. I spit out the blade, and snarled at her again.

Ethan rushed out to look at what was going on.

{What the hell did you do?} Ethan yelled at me mentally.

{She attacked me first} I kept on snarling {I didn't do anything to provoke the attack.}

"What the hell did you do?" Ethan snapped at the woman.

"That thing touched my son," she snapped back.

Ethan looked back at me over his shoulder {Did you?}

{Yes} I snorted {But I didn't harm him.}

"He didn't harm him," Ethan frowned at me before he turned his attention back to her.

My body tensing as I looked at the woman. She gripped the handle of her blade even though there was no blade attached anymore.

"He should have never touched my son," she tried to attack me again.

I jumped over her, and landed behind her son. Curling myself up behind him as if I were hiding. My big head close to his own head as he sat in the wheelchair. The kid was startled by my sudden closeness, but didn't make any attempt to get away from me.

"What are you doing?" he asked me with a wide eyed look.

I just eyed him with my big blue eye. Cocking my head slightly so that I was looking slightly down on him. Did he think I was going to just talk to him? Right now? I raised my left brow as I looked at him him with irritation.

I stared at the kid's mom with irritation now that the kid seemed to understand that I wasn't talking. I was halfway tempted to shrug at the kid. I didn't want to give away anything though. I was pretending to be stupid at the moment. His mom was no longer able to attack me with her son between me, and her.

I kept moving around so that he was always between me, and her. I kept hiding behind her son for the better part of ten minutes before giving up on attacking me. My wings twitched as she came toward me. I backed away from him into the street, and now I wasn't in any danger of getting attacked. Since I'd used him as a shield, and probably would do it again if she attacked again.

I just watched her cautiously.

"Damn thing is using my son as a shield," she snapped at me.

"If you hadn't attacked him then he wouldn't have used the kid as a shield," Ethan frowned at her.

"That thing picked up my son," she snapped at Ethan, "My son is fragile. That thing could have killed him by picking him up like that."

"Nix didn't intend to harm him," Ethan gently placed his hand on my nose.

"It doesn't matter if he intended to harm him or not," she continued to argue with Ethan, "One mistake, and he would have died. Do you really think its okay for your beast to be handling my son? One mistake, and my son looses any chance he has at walking again."

I snorted at her. Before focusing back on the kid. I knew about his back problem. I'd healed him slightly. I didn't add to the damage.

{You picked up that kid?} Ethan looked at me funny {Why?}

{I think he'll be good for Aurora} I wanted to smirk, but figured it was kind of inappropriate for me to do so right now {I think I can teach him magic.}

"Nix took a liking to the kid," Ethan smiled, "He has a thing for kids. He likes them. Seems to find them interesting. He'd never intentionally harm a kid."

"What makes you so sure?" the angry mother snapped.

"Mom it's fine," the kid yelled as he wheeled himself closer, "That creature hasn't hurt me. He doesn't seem to be dangerous mom."

"But he is dangerous," she grabbed her son's chair.

Stopping him before he could get any closer. Now it was my turn to act. I pushed forward past Ethan to the boy with my head at eye level. Putting my nose within two feet of the kid with my head cocked. I inhaled slowly.

Converting the mana into pure light energy as I exhaled the light infused mana all over the kid. He flinched slightly as the light cloud poured over him. Healing him slightly. It wasn't enough to undo much of the damage done to him. In fact I was pretty sure that it didn't really heal him at all.

I sensed his injury once again. The only damage I could undo was whatever he'd done since yesterday. I couldn't really undo the damage with the tiny amount of mana I'd converted from my lungs. Unnatural elements took a lot more mana to use properly. Light element, and space element couldn't be manipulated without a large amount of mana to manipulate it with.

I hated how useless my unnatural elements were sometimes. It would be a lot better for me if I could use them more easily with less mana. I didn't have enough control of those elements to make more use of them without using stupid amounts of mana in the process. I pushed slightly closer afterward. Inviting the boy to touch me as his mom tensed up at my closeness.
