Next morning, I was woken up at 4 am by a knock on my door and in came Dr Kavita. She wasn't alone, her lab coat wearing friend was with her. She didn't introduce herself or say anything at all, just came in and started checking my vitals, after finishing her test she took out a tube-shaped object and stuck it in the middle of my forearm and it seemed to fill up with blood and then took it off put a bandaid there and left.

"What was that about?" I asked

"That's a long story that we ..."

I interrupted her saying "I have all the time in the world, it's 4 am normal human beings don't even wake up by this time, No one will come to visit me before lunchtime, the story can't possibly take longer than 8 hours. "

"Yes, like I was going to say we would cover that with the debrief anyways so we can start with that."

"Sorry"

"It's OK. The thing is she had a bet with the other guys in the lab on the correctness of one of her tests. It is a nonstandard test version of a test which is usually can only be done using blood samples, but her method has other methods. Anyways her initial test on you was unexpected but had been 100% accurate till then, the other guys in the lab started a betting pool on the test being wrong but she insisted it was correct. When we took the knife back with us as well as the blood sample I collected, they ran the test on those and turns out hers was correct the first time around, so she won."

"Wow she was that pissed off being right, she will nuke everyone if she is ever wrong."

"She is not angry coz she is wrong, she and everyone else in the lab are angry since your test came back negative for all signs of extranormal markers that they have discovered and claimed that the test should be reliable 100% of the time. It was the 1st time they said their test had 100% viability for anything. Moreover, they compared your current blood sample with the ones from 1, 2, and 3 years ago and all of them are the same, which was the 2nd failing factor of the test that they said. According to this test, anyone who became an extranormal and wasn't born with the genetic factors would have changes in their genetic markup from before that their machine could identify."

"I don't understand, I am not an extranormal so the test is correct, what's there to get angry about?"

"That's not going to work, the only thing they all agree on is the exotic particle detector is infallible. It's a true open-ended energy detector that can detect any source of energy fed to it once. It can then calibrate and identify it if it is different from any till then categorised sources of energy. It's connected to a set of satellites that can measure the amount of heat released by a matchstick in the subway. Its only drawback is that it's very easy to hide energy signatures from it, but when it does detect something it is infallible. and it has caught you multiple times, odd times but multiple times with the same signature. "

"Couldn't something else be causing it? And can you tell me when has it happened?"

"No nothing else could be causing it. Your watcher has a very succinct report of it as after the 1st time he had been carrying the mobile version of it to get us the data faster."

"So when was it?"

"Ahem, he says anytime you kiss subject named Nebula anywhere, your lips release it into her body, it doesn't harm her but we aren't really sure what this exotic Particle, code-named NS 243, actually does but it does get safely absorbed by her body. Its effect on other organic matter is pretty caustic, to say the least. It also is released when your blood is exposed to the air but no matter what happens it dissipates very quickly and our lab hasn't been able to preserve it for more than a second, and that is by my estimate only because it takes exactly one second to start dispersing if nothing is done to it."

"Wow cool!!!"

"Yes, I would say so. So now you admit you are releasing it?"

"Well I am not one to deny scientific fact, but I am not purposely doing it. And am not sure if I can stop it. So what about its effect on me?"

"They don't know that either. When it's within your body any and all possible ways that they used to detect it within your body haven't worked.All they can tell it's not harmful but even on the surface of your body it just seems to get absorbed back in or disperses. One of the lead researchers who tried to figure out was just too frustrated and gave up and just put dibs on your body when you die to be able to do your autopsy. He actually added tests to be performed after death sheet in your file, in case he dies before you. Are you going to tell us what it actually does?"

"I am not sure like I said I am not actually purposefully releasing it and am not sure if it is actually doing anything at all or even where it is actually coming from. Well, that's that, wasn't that long a story. I actually had another question. Mr Coulson said that my situation with me being underage was a new issue. How could that be that your agency hasn't found another Extranormal in a population of over six and half billion under the age of 18?"

"It's just that as far as our scientists and data show that it is impossible for a person to come into their extranormal abilities before their 18th birthday, even those that are born with the genetic factors their abilities will only start working after at least 18 years of age and those that come into their abilities due to an external factor before they turn 18 they are usually too amped up by their power to survive without outside help so getting the parents' permission is not really necessary"

"OK, so I am the only person under the age of 18 deemed to be Extranormal that is in a completely stable state without outside interference. Compared to others whatever my ability is must be pretty weak."

"It is not the strength of the ability but the act of its manifestation changing the genetic makeup of a person is what causes it to be dangerous before 18. But yours didn't and that is what has everyone stumped. Anyways do you want to know about The Academy?"

"Nah, I am ready to join whenever you want me to, the world is a big and dangerous place, and maybe you can help me find out what I can do with this ability maybe you can't but that will be my best bet to figure it out. What I want to know is what will be my cover story and where is this Academy anyway?"

"There is more to it than just joining, there are 3 sub academies and they are based in the United States. The cover is easy enough, Its an elite academy with very long and Unique training program that starts from a Management and Communications program and if you pass the tests for it you can enter the Operations training and/or the Scientific Training courses and that would decide what you can work as within the organization."

"That sounds cool both as the cover and what I assume those terms are with respect your work. I assume you are Science, Mr Coulson was Communications and the Watcher is operations."

"Yes that's right, You will have to start with communications anyways, you will most certainly qualify for operations. Science Academy requires a minimum of one PhD so you have to manage that while working under the umbrella of the other 2. Only thing is other than the Science Academy other 2 need you to be 18."

"So I can join after I pass out of High School. That's fine too. Thank you for this opportunity."
