One small breeze doesn't make a wind storm.

It seemed things couldn't get worse, till they did and I realized as I sat next to Nebula, that for the second time in my life I was channelling someone much stronger than me and didn't actually know who it was or where they were. The pain was now becoming too much to handle and it had barely been a minute from the start till now. So I stopped channelling the physical enhancement but kept my enhanced senses still active. The pain in my arm wasn't getting better as fast as I had hoped but it had stopped bleeding. My biggest problem was how I was going to explain these 4 bodies a fainted Nebula and the knife in my arm. I saw Nebula's handbag by the desks she was laying down on and remembered she actually did have a cellphone. So I opened her bag and searched through it to find the phone but it was locked. "For future reference ask your girlfriend for her phones password in case of emergencies," I said out loud to myself. I suddenly remembered something useful I had learnt in the previous timeline and dialled 112 on the locked phone and it worked. But my luck was really running out now, the phone wasn't connecting. There was no signal, I figured maybe one of the guys outside had a something like a signal jammer. So I got up and went out to check if any of them had something like that so I could turn it off or just break it if need be.

As soon as I walked out of the classroom and looked outside, I knew my troubles were just starting. For starters, the bodies of the 4 people were nowhere around neither was the blood that they or I had shed outside the classroom. Instead, now there were half a dozen people with what looked like assault rifles standing guard in a perimeter outside the building area. I also noticed that the music from the carnival was not on anymore and I could hear announcements being made to evacuate the school premises in a calm and orderly manner. The announcement said to look for your friends and family outside the school and any students left back would be escorted back by the police. I had just been in there for 15 minutes, all this had been done in the last 15 minutes?

Finally, I saw in front of me Dr Kavita and another Man in a suit. All of this seemed to be triggering warning bells but I was too rattled by everything that had happened to care.

Dr Kavita looked at my arm with the knife in it and bloodied shirt and smirked at me and said: " you do get into a lot of scrapes, don't you? The lightning strike, the gangsters and now this."

I couldn't believe the incredulity of the situation, she obviously knew about the gangsters and so she knew something would happen and was assigned to the school even before I was struck with lightning. The person I could feel under my scan was still within range, but barely within it. I realised it was the same person before as the time as the one with the gangsters.

I also couldn't resist so I looked at my arm and then at her and shrugged my shoulders and said: "Tis but a scratch" and started laughing while looking at the people around me. If these guys were hostile, My healing factor wasn't like wolverine to keep me alive, so I just sat down on the chair that was usually kept outside for the peon to sit on who rang the bell at the end of the class, and relaxed.

I looked towards Dr Kavita and nodded towards Nebula in the classroom and said: "Check her first, I survive long enough for you to check and make sure she is ok."

She nodded and went in and another woman in a white lab coat with a bag followed her in. I kept watch on what they were doing, they took out a few machines to check her temperature and blood pressure, then took out something I had seen used to measure blood glucose and pricked her finger with it. Dr Kavita then came out and told me that she is alright it was just some sleeping agent they used. she wouldn't even remember what happened. She then signalled the man in the suit standing up front and he said something into his wrist, probably a communication unit. After a minute or so a man and a woman in suits came and put her out on a stretcher.

Dr Kavita nodded to them and told me "They will take her to the hospital and call her and your parents and let them know that she hit her head and fainted and that you broke her fall but broke your left arm and have been sedated so your parents and friends will have to wait till tomorrow to see you."

"OK, thanks for that, I wasn't really sure how I was going to explain any of this. Actually, I am still not sure how to explain any of this. What the hell happened just now. These were definitely not just your run of the mill gangsters. They were actual bonafide assassins or something like that right? Those gangsters couldn't afford to send someone like these guys for a simple fight."

Dr Kavita came over and looked at the knife in my arm, the lady in the lab coat handed her a pair of scissors and she cut into my shirt till the knife and rolled the rest of it back to take a better look at the wound. She then got hold of the handle and said: "It's safe to pull it out, it's gone through and doesn't seem to have hit bone and should heal on it own. We will still apply the Plaster cast as a cover for the broken arm cover. I'll take it out on 3."

I grabbed the knife handle over her hand and pulled it out and grabbed my arm to stop the bleeding, then looked up at her and said: "It will heal fine You and I both know that now quit stalling and tell me what the hell is happening."

She quickly picked up some cotton and gauze applied some sort of salve on it and applied the cotton on both sides of the arm and wrapped it in gauze. Then used a bottle of water and some other liquid and put it on the rest of the arm and cleaned it then put some kind of armguard on top and clicked it close and it tightened up on its own covering my entire forearm from my wrist to the elbow.

"So much for small talk huh. Now can you tell me what the hell is happening here?"

"That's not my department, my department is just fixing people after they do the crazy stuff."

I calmed down and then asked, "Then whose department would that be?"

"That would be my department Mr Nightshade" answered the man in the suit who had just been standing there watching.
