1 My mother Is Precious For Me
"Na, I am not going to help you select gift for your brother," her mother waved her hand in hurry.
"But why, that's unfair," she pouted.
"Awe, I have to go shop groceries and prepare excellent dinner for your brother, I have no time even for single relief breath until I am done with the preparations_!!" she hurriedly explained her small daughter pouting while she was looking at her mother.
"Yayyy, will you make me bean curd and dumplings please??" she immediately was happy after hearing that her mother was going to prepare great dinner today.
"Gues my child, I have something more expensive on the manu today, your mother is so proud of her son," she slightly teased on her nose and asked her daughter smiling.
"Woww, expensive manu, ahh, please tell me what is it? I wanted to know right now," with that mother ensured her, she started stomping her feet on the floor and asked with child like innocence.
"Ahh, wait my previous doll, don't hurt yourself, there will be pecking duck with the sweet and sour sausage and there will be egg fried rolls too, don't tell me you don't like your mother's choice for your stomach," with this mother tickled in her belly playfully.
"Mmm...it sounds so much delicious, I love you mother, I will be waiting for your return impatiently, please do come early, don't make your daughter wait long," she waved her hand toward her mother.
"But stay inside the house until I came back then you can go and buy gift, OK_!" she instructed in hurry.
After the death of her husband, she was lookiing after her both children more lovingly so that they might not feel sad about the accidental death of their father five years ago.
Thanks to his savings and educational insurance that her both children were studying in better educational institutes.
Today, there was untold happiness in her heart, after years she felt bright days were ahead of her son, he would get his Law Degree in the grand convocation, he was studying in a top grade Law School.
He was genius and hard working student from his primary grade, he was enrolled in the Law School with the scholarship.
Yet the other expanses were filled with educational insurance money, the requirements to read in the top grade institute were very high.
"How unfair, what I am supposed to select for older brother as gift,!!" she put her finger on her lips and delve deeper in her planning for gift.
She felt slightly cold.
Its been two hours that her mother went to buy groceries and still not returned.
She was waiting already impatiently as she reminded her mother before she left house.
Though it was the end of September yet she was feeling unexpected cold.
She stood and it took her much effort to close all windows of the house.
The weather suddenly turned and there was slight wind storm.
Her brother came at 6pm in the middle of wind storm.
Small girl rushed to see her brother.
Her face was full of unexpected worry.
"What's wrong An. ? Where is mother? See, I got the Law degree," he showed some stamped papers to her with a broad and winning smile.
"Older brother, I love you," she hugged him because she could not buy a gift for him on time, she was waiting for her mother to come, yet she was so late.
"Ahh, you are so tall, come closer, I wanted to kiss you," she was truly spoiled princess of her older brother and mother.
"I got the top grade also, I know mother will be immensely happy to hear this, by the way, where is the mother? I can't see her around,"
He hold her hand and looked around.
"Mother went to buy groceries three hours ago, she is not returned yet," "Three hours ago? its enough time and mother didn't spend this much time in shopping before," he looked puzzled.
"And she asked me that she will be back soon, how unfair? I could not buy you a gift," she crossed her arms pouting.
"I think, we should wait for her a little, I am sure she will be on her way back," he patted on her head.
Another hour was gone and their mother still did not return back.
There was a grocery market at some distance.
It was spread on the both sides of the two opposite roads.
One could buy anything from this market especially meat and spices.
The slight wind was still blowing, not too harsh not too mild.
He went to search his mother, he did not even changed his suit which his mother gifted him for this special day of convocation.
He thought to reach the nearest grocery market first and search, he was sure that he would find his mother there.
There was silence at the ending road of the market, from there the road would split and join the main road.
There was a crowd surrounding a car.
After few large steps, he could see that there were also three to four policemen.
His heart went cold suddenly.
What happened there exactly?
He split through the crowd in hurry and reached in the center, only to see the the most painful which got etched in his heart this moment.
His mother was laying there in the pool of blood, people were talking so many things that he could not comprehend immediately, he just bent down and looked at her face which was clearly showing the signs of unexpected event that happened her and took her life.
"Mother," a big round drop of water fell from his eye.
"Mother, open your eyes, I am here, your son," he embraced her lifeless figure half sentimental, half conscience.
He felt a sliver of her pulse and shouted at the crowd, "Ambulance, she is alive, my mother is alive," there was suddenly a commotion.
His mother was brought in the nearest city hospital.
His clothes were dotted with her blood while he was waiting outside the ICU.
He would save her by any means.
There was nothing else in his mind, as to how did she reached this state? Who did this? Those things were secondary in his eyes, the most important thing was the living breathe of his mother.
