32 My Legs Are Aching

An. was hungry when she reached home.

She saw her aunt sitting on the sofa with ease.

She ran toward kitchen to eat whatever her aunt prepared, her brother told that their aunt would live in their house and look after both.

She was happy somehow that her aunt was this caring.

She searched the kitchen but there was nothing to eat.

She came to ask her aunt.

Feng Mian saw her niece coming to ask about food, she started to lightly blow her lower legs, "My legs are badly aching, those bosses in the store are ruthless to let stand this elderly lady for whole day," her face showed how much her legs were in pain.

The store provide free lunch to it's staff and Feng Mian was not hungry when she came back from her work so she didn't prepare anything for eating but she cannot say this to lose her face.

The time she came back, she was watching soap serial on the television and relaxing on the sofa.

An. heard her aunt and didn't asked her about food.

"Aunt Mian, if you are not well, shall I bring you medicine from the medical kit?" she asked out of concern.

"Ah, this pretty child is so lovable, come, sit here," An. came and sat beside.

"Aunt is better now, can you bring the vegetables, I will do cutting while sitting here," she patted An.

In fact, she don't want to miss few dialogues spoken by the actresses, she would be wasting time to go and stand in the kitchen and prepare cutting.

An. innocently agreed and brought whatever her aunt asked to bring, she was running here and there.

She was already hungry.

When her aunt told that she don't need anything else, she went in her room and sat to study and write her assignment.

She cannot go and find Lee Ai, Lee Ai was not here in her grandmother house.

She was preparing for her send ups in her own home, strictly under the guard of her angry mother.

Feng Mian stood up to go in the kitchen, thinking it was evening now and probably Yue Jing would be on his way back home.

She slowly cooked meal, she was not in hurry, if she prepared early, would not it look that she was not busy anymore?

If she done working everything in real time, they would think that her stay in the house was useless.

She didn't think that her niece was hungry and she should hurry to prepare some snacks for her early.

After An. was done with her homework, she put her hand on her empty stomach, she walked downstairs and reached the kitchen, her aunt was still busy in the kitchen.

She was studying for two hours and the food was still on the stove.

She sat on the small dinner table, her stomach started aching because of hunger.

She looked at her aunt who was preparing meal very slowly, and because of hunger, it looked that she was looking at the extremely slow movements of her aunt, she thought that it was because her aunt was feeling pain in her legs early.

"Dear An. can you place the plates on the table?" her aunt asked with utmost affection.

An. felt that it would be indecent to not listen to her aunt while she was preparing meal despite feeing pain in her legs.

She stood up and opened cabins and collected the dinner plates on the table, she also cleaned the table to look good.

She sat again waiting for her aunt to bring meal on the table.

She thought that she would complete her assignment next day since her geography teacher gave three days to submit it.

After waiting half an hour, she stood up and sat in front of her computer to play game to kill the time that was unbearable anymore.

She even cannot complain her aunt for this delay of the meal.

She opened a game and saw text sent by her class fellow, both girls play this game in their free time, this game was designed for primary school going children.

"Hi, did you check the new update? it has added few food emotes in the chat server," she read the text.

She thought to check later because she can't bear to see those emotes while she was hungry.

She wanted to cry now.

Even the look of of food emotes can be painful when you are hungry.

She switched off her computer, her friend's chat today was all about, what they had taken in the meal today, why they were talking all about food? she was holding her stomach now.

She looked at the kitchen counter only to see her aunt really busy.

She placed her head on the keyboard and closed her eyes.
