"They Stepped On Their Own *ss"

Zen and his men ran away in the van as soon as they heard the first fire.

Yue stood up and searched his briefcase, it seemed that his intuition was true, that despicable lawyer wanted to get hold on the evidences.

Sānjí Jîngjiān reached there, "Yue, are you alright," he carefully looked at him.

Yue saw gun in his friend's hand and understood who fired few seconds ago.

He smiled, "I am fine, thanks for your help," he patted on his shoulder.

He felt indebted to his friend.

He was not afraid and this was under his expectations, just that he was not expecting this soon right after the first hearing.

It seemed he needed some fighting skills to handle some random bunch of overthrown fools in future.

"No, you are not, your forehead is seeping blood," he pointed toward the bruised part of his forehead.

Yue Jing touched, it was caused after receiving second blow, "It's not that big," he chuckled.

"Let's come, we'll see some clinic," he almost dragged, he was afraid that his friend was trying to let it go.

He also wanted to know about this incident from him.

They sat in official car.

Yue was thinking about those panel of lawyers and possibilities how far they could go to win against him.

Sānjí Jîngjiān looked him deep in thoughts and asked, "Who were those rascals?" he was clearly angry.

"Hm, I think, the defense lawyer sent them but I am not sure," the tone of his friend brought him back from his thoughts.

"We can find out whether he is involved or not," Sānjí spoke confidently, he was an officer, he could even bring out the clues from the mouth of lion if there was any.

"How you will find?" Yue looked at his boosting mood.

"I can order to check his call records for today, the criminal data unit is not for show," he answered while carefully driving.

"That would be something, just call it, he stepped on his own *ss" Sānjí laughed.

Inside a dark room, four men were standing obediently in front of senior lawyer.

"It was more than easy but it shouldn't effect the price you agreed on," Zen spoke in his screeching voice.

"It depends whether you are able to bring the thing I asked," senior lawyer spoke crudely, he spoke an uncivilized unlike his cultured behavior in the court in front of jury.

Zen handed the briefcase confidently.

Senior lawyer opened the briefcase only to see stack of blank papers inside, he rummage through but there was nothing like shitty evidence.

He looked at Zen, Zen was alarmed, "Did you hide the evidences to ask for more price," senior lawyer roared with anger.

"Don't blame, this is what we snatched, do you think we had that enough time to hide it somewhere you calling bullshit evidence?" Zen was furiously waving his hand.

Senior lawyer was fuming but he didn't say much after that, he knew his limits.

Yue Jing and his friend came out of the clinic after letting petit nurse to apply a bandage on the bruised part of forehead.

"Today was the first hearing of the case," Yue added.

"Let me find those rascals and bring back your briefcase," Sānjí saw at the moment when the briefcase was thrown in the van and being the head in the criminal bureau, he was aware about the manipulation and force getting hold on the evidences.

"No need," Yue waved his hand with little bit ease on his face.

Sānjí got surprised, should not be his friend worried over the lose.

"There were only stacked blank papers in it so no need to worry," he looked at the front, on the road and running vehicles.

"Oh, you saved the evidences somewhere, I know you are smart," his friend was overjoyed to hear this.

"What evidences? I have no more in my hand, other than those I presented in the court," he shrugged his shoulders but his tone was clearly not that worry free.

Sānjí was baffled to hear this and he suddenly put his foot on the brakes out of worry.

"What?" only one word was enough to point out his baffling rationality.

"How you will win it?"
