36 36. Some saved, some still on run

The newborn zombies acted really strange. Like they looked for something. Group of humans passed one of those creature's paths and he didn't even look at them.

Emma scrunched her eyebrows. What is going on really? ''I know everyone is tired but you need to understand, those creatures look harmless at this very moment, but who knows what will happen next. I worry about their strange behavior. So no matter how tired you are, trace their path as much as you can.''

They lost sight of three of the zombies in the city area and four of them drifted to the forest area and never came out. Her senses hit the alert whole time. Somehow she could feel some vibrations inside her and felt as it was quite strange. But she had no time to check it out now.

''Zombie number five burned. Zombie number 23 got hit by one falling stone from the building. Zombie 14 was attacked by other zombies... Boss, they are getting attacked by other zombies!!!''

Emma's heart jumped. She could see a group of zombies ferociously attacking one of the roaming zombies and eating him until the last bit. Even bones were crunched like delicacy and eating until the last bit.

''What the hell? Now I feel protective towards those. What is wrong with me? What is going on with the cars?'' She wants to be sure about the safety of those people first, then she can think about this situation.

''They have another ten miles and will be by meeting point. Boss, I feel its kind of strange. The zombies from cities are moving towards those newzorns.'' He wanted to make a joke but he chocked when he saw a huge amount of zombies appearing out cities and rushing towards the place where the new zombies appeared.

''I am afraid that if they eat those new zombies, their DNA will change and we will have new kinds of zombies. More dangerous. What to do?'' As she looked at that place she got called by one of the operators responsible for the helicopters.

''Boss, they are ready to take off. But it seems there are not enough. Some people might have to continue driving.'' They did indeed find many more but not enough for everyone.

She was anxious. ''Connect to the bus.''

''Yes?'' His voice was calm as it seems. Behind him could be heard quite a lot of voices.

''You are about to arrive but some people might not be able to get on. Please settle first children.'' She knew he wouldn't join them in his stubbornness.

His deep chuckle could be heard as he answered. ''I understand. I already spoke to Hose when we stopped. He will give me his car and a few other people will join in with their cars until you do not find another solution.''

All she could do is to just agree. It was anyway no other option. ''But don't let Hose join you guys. He has a family to take care of. If he dares to join you guys I will make him wash all the toilets in the whole shelter. I promise He will have to do so.''

''Of course, you will. I will not let him join the wild ride. As soon as we pack as many people as we can in helicopters, we will continue our travel. Please find ous safest routes.'' He would like to go and see her again soon. But being selfish and leaving children only to save his own behind is not in his nature.

''We will. Just hurry. Tell others that zombies behave again strange. The new zombies are attacked by other ones and were eaten until the last bits. We have no idea what is going on, I fear that new zombies will evolve soon. So you need to rush fast. Many zombies from nearby towns started moving to the place where new zombies are and it seems they will create another zombie tide. But I fear this tide will be harder to get rid of than the last one.'' She had strange premonition and fear when she saw those creatures getting swallowed. So far her feeling always became true, but she really hoped this time she would be wrong and they could just expect them to stop. Right?

Her eyes literally started burning but she had no time now to think about either ain or sleepiness. ''Could someone bring me more eye drops.''

She absentmindedly just waved her hand. A small hand pulled her back. ''Mom, sit down I will help you apply it.''

Emma looked down at Aisa that had woken up and her eyes were shiny from resting. Somehow she was grateful for the reincarnation. She would want it that she could reincarnate in the world where the worst thing could be is war. But this...

She obediently sat down and lifted up her head so she could drop it into her eyes. After the first drops already she felt the pain lessened and she raised that she probably didn't blink in anxiousness.

''Mom, you need sleep.'' Aisa stared at the gray face of her mother and felt anxious. The deep blue panda eyes around her eyes and the vane face made her look like someone who is about to die.

Emma shook her head. ''They are almost here. I will sleep after they are all safe here. Do you even think I am able to sleep now? To anxious. Can't.''

Her answers were accompanied by her pacing while everyone shook their heads. Boss is worrying too much. But in same time they knew she would do that for any of them. the people stared at the big projection screen her nervous expression and got worried.

For now, they are all happy and content. But only as they knew she was doing her best to protect them. But seeing her look weak they found it scary. What will happen if something goes wrong and she is no more there to protect them?

Undercurrents started roaming in the city area but that was all unknown to Emma that watched with a slight smile. The helicopters would lift up as soon they had their seats filled. They didn't wait for each other. Soon even Garcia's family got a place in the big helicopter and while the last helicopter was about to leave, a group of five cars started driving rapidly towards her shelter.

''Emma can you hear me?'' Mario's voice could be heard through the radio.

''Of course...'' was her dry answer as she stared at the information on her computer. Ahead of them was a highway. But there was a problem with it.

Bunch of zombies was heading his way and he needed to avoid them. The only way would be dry riverbank, the problem was... It was not dry anymore. there was water inside and he was not sure will they be able to avoid the water if they drove on the sides.

She already told him about this situation and he immediately went down but the problem now was that some zombies started moving towards them and practically jumping off the tall bridge. Everything would be fine if they died, but they started coming out of the water and making the cars avoid them s much they could.

Luckily there were just a few that were interested in them. The rest of the crowd was following something as it seems. Are they going where she thinks they are?

''Check the newborn zombies. I feel something is really wrong.'' If the zombies are even rushing from her state, does that mean from other states the zombies will gather there on that spot as well?

This time it won't be a tide, it will be a tsunami if they start moving together.

''Boss, new satellite pictures are strange.'' One of the men transferred the picture on the main screen and everyone stopped doing what they did when they saw the situation.
