19 19. It's here

Emma went out of the escalator and smiled at the female soldiers that comfortably played with Aisa.

''Emma, don't worry we are here.''

Emma just shook her head and smiled to them, ''I know Sandra, but you Tia and Uma can go and take a day off like everyone else. Go visit your friends, family members, or lovers ...'' She winked as she knew that Tia was interested in Jack.

Tia turned red and pursed her full lips. ''You are mean Chief. You clearly know I like him. But I don't think he likes me.''

Emma chuckled and then pinched her face. ''Girl, go get him.''

Everyone laughed and they just went out pinching and joking with Tia that turned red in embarrassment.

When the door closed Emma made a new command. ''Lock the gate. No one is to enter accept the two of us from now on. Tia, Sandra and Uma can enter after my command.''

''Mother, did something happen?'' She was confused about the command.

''Aisa, from now on many things will change. It will take some time to see who are real friends and who are rats that were implanted by the government.'' She knew that one of these three was ratting her out, but after lockdown, it will be hard for them to contact the outside world.

Let's see who is in a real hurry to do so.

''Let's go and have some fun next few hours. then we can check outside the news. Wanna join me?''

Hiding the truth from her daughter was never an option.

Aisa was happy to spend some time with her mother.

In the last few months, her mother took her to all kinds of places in the world, collecting information and materials. But still didn't have time for her, like before this.

Enjoying some time with her will be fun.

She hopped to Emma and the two together went inside to have some fun.

The people al had some private life after a big close down. Actually most of the people already settled in and started planning or working.

With over 30 000 people there will be always some work. The houses and apartments were set, but inside was just plain walls and few basic things like tables, stools, kitchen, bathroom, bed and similar.

The wallpapers, paints and little accessories could be taken from the storage room and made into a comfortable place to live in.

So people were settling their homes slowly and making it homey.

If they felt hungry they would go eat at the nearest eatery, if they felt like having fun they could choose from a variety of things.

Fun fact. There was nowhere to find cigarettes so most smokers had a really hard time.

Emma hated cigarettes. So she made command that there will be no smokers in the future.

Some people hid the cigarets and wanted to smoke but were found out and their house raided to get rid of it.

On the end, they just had to change their habits.

Emma and Aisa sat in front of a big screen in their living room that had multiple screens at the same time.

''Mom, do you know maybe the time when it starts?'' She skipped channels looking at any sign.

But all she could see, murder scenes, catastrophes, floods, fires, fights, wars...

''You can see all this mess in the world. Even if the zombie apocalypse doesn't start, these things will blow up in next year maybe two years the top. At that time... We are safe here.''

She turned her chair and looked at the screen behind her turning her voice on.

''Shelter number one to number twenty report!''

Suddenly twenty small screens showed different kinds of people that smiled at her.

''We start from number one. Speak.''

''We have shelter for 120 000 people. Unfortunately, just 30 000 people accepted our request. ''

''Everything ok with safety, food water and those that are already in?''

''Yes mam. The lockdown was finished and now we just wait for the next 24 hrs for your command.''

''Let's hope I was wrong with my prediction and we can all laugh it out.''

All had similar reports accept the three in Asian countries and one more on her own.

It seems they had many people that were into such theories. They filled their capacity up to 80% each.

Luckily all reports showed that all of them accepted their own spaces and worked together well in their try to survive.

She ended the conversations and turned her chair again to the world reports.

''Anything new?''

Aisa shook her head. But suddenly froze. ''Mom, look that war zone. It's kind of strange.''

Emma looked closer and then ordered the command. ''Turn on the sky view over d31.''

The 3D picture of a war zone but seen from the sky could be seen and her heart froze. Indeed, it started here.

She again turned her chair and Aisa as well. ''Contact number five. Now.''

When the man saw her with a dark expression he knew that her prediction turned to be true.

''I am sorry. 31d just was confirmed as a basic station and starting point. It seems all those bioweapons changed human DNA and now... Look.''

He could see the ugliest truth of humankind. People pushing each other and even mothers throwing their children into the crowd that started growing by each dead person.

''Sorry. It seems you will be the one that needs to capture the prime ones to find the cure. Or at least the antidote... ''

He nodded. ''I understand. Our place is from now on in red alert and our secret levels will be used now to find a cure. Please be safe.''

''No. You and your people need to be really careful. It is now not the time to go out. We don't know is airborne. Don't try anything until we are not sure. Understood.''

''But the antidote...''

''It will be harder later on, but as every virus, it will change anyway. So even if you find the first ones it doesn't mean that they can help you with the antidote. With the spread, it will be hard to handle many things, but still, even if it takes time, we will succeed. Don't forget. You live now in the safest place on earth. Those will stay around for a while. Let us see how it will react. If it's airborne, then the world has a big problem. If it's by a bite or scratches transmittable we can still use our special uniforms that I invented.''

The uniforms were even tested against white sharks and couldn't be even bitten trough or penetrated.

''I understand. We will send you reports from now on every hour.''

''Do that. I really hoped that I was wrong.''

She ended the conversation and let others know about newly situation.

Then she started calling around the world.

Unfortunately, no one listened. She even called directly the presidents of different states but they ignored her warning. On the end, she even called headquarters of the UN and they as well just swept her warning under their tables.

Not knowing what else to do she called different kinds of tv and radio stations making a big fuss but even after the report came different contra reports making her lunatic that wanted to make the world turn into a war zone.

She opened many sites showing lifestream from the war zone. Luckily many people that were like her, hermits, otakus and similar people had seen it and started preparing for long term fight.

At first after while it looked as it died out. Most of the first zombies were killed.

Number five even went out and gathered few zombies in full antivirus gear. And locked their gates again.

The research started.

But the problems arrived again as well.

The war zone was placed where people had no time to bury anyone. So even if they didn't bit anyone the bugs did. the fleas, the flys and other bugs that landed on rotten corpses were the main cause of explosive outbreak 12 hrs after stagnation.

Suddenly it started spreading furiously. Some people got bitten, some were scratched and some were bitten by some of the insects.

After 24 hrs period, Emma and Aisa sat in front of Zombie apocalypse that was about to spread all over the world.

The neighbor countries got scared and nuked the whole country, killing millions of people but that made the virus change again.

''It is airborne now.'' Emma Thomson's heart became literally cold.

Emma turned her head and saw Aisa in deep sleep. ''Yes, you are in the safest place on the world.''

She took Aisa into her arms and put her into the bed in the small house. She pressed the button on her earplug and called the three soldiers.

The moment they arrived they knew it was bad. very bad. She wore herself official uniform like everyone else.

Her eyes were filled with fury, coldness and anger. ''the three of you are her personal guards. From now on change into official Aisilin country uniform and take weapons. If even one hair on her head is missing I will murder everyone you ever knew.''

The woman they knew from before, the Emma Thompson they knew, was gone.

No win in front of them stood the most furious person on this planet and them had no idea why.

''Mam, what happened.'' At this moment they realized they are her soldiers, workers and not only friends.

''Zombie apocalypse. And it became airborne ten minutes ago. I warned the damn idiots but no one listened to me. This place will be sealed and only three of you can enter. Any other person will be killed. Understood?''

''No matter who it is?''

''Kill, even if its child.'' her cold answer made them shake in the core of their heart.

But Sandra understood why. The child soldiers were used in many countries. She nodded in understanding. ''I understand.''

Emma walked out and as the door closed they knew, this will be a bad day to make her angry...
