9 09. Their little talk :)

Emma Thompson stared at his back and felt thinge of warmth appearing in her broken heart, but then shook her head. ''Impossible. He is just doing his duty, yes... Ufff I need to concentrate on other things. I can't think about such foolish stuff now.''

She shook her head and just turned around to run when she heard a voice behind her. ''What foolish stuff?''

She froze instantly and slowly turned her head and looked at his calm expression. That means he heard just her last sentence. Right?

''Let's not talk about that. How come you and your people sighed in for this task? And where is your family?'' She looked at him and then at teh crowd trying to find someone that looked like him.

''I lost my family members two years ago when they were on one boat trip. That day when we met it was the same day thy disappeared and I just wanted to be on the same spot as them.''

Emma Thompson is not a very proactive person but she is very sensitive and emotional. So her eyes became red like rabbits as she stared at him with sorrow. ''Ohhh. So, did you find out how it happened?''

He nodded as he walked slowly towards escalators. ''The ship they were on, was unlucky and was literally hit with one falling satellite that was hit by a meteor. So pieces of meteor and satellite broke the rump of the ship and it went under in a matter of minutes. People on the ship had no chance of survival. Not even one survived. We went down and found their bodies and on end, they had proper burials.''

His eyes got dark as he sighed. She didn't know what to say and how to comfort him she just lightly patted his arm and went inside the escalator.

She smiled at him and before the door was closed she stared at his eyes and said the most important words he ever heard in his life. ''I trust you. From now on take over. From Mailes, you can take all the data and if you have some questions call me with this phone.''

She gave him an oldfashioned phone and the door closed. The only number on the phone was hers and he just renamed it into Queen and smiled, leaving some of his soldiers in awe.

How long was it since he smiled last time?

It seems there is more between this woman and boss. Should we help them?

They looked at each other with mischievous smiles and were interrupted by an icy voice. ''If you people get involved she might just run away. So do your duty and let her in peace. Understood?!!!''

''Yes sir!!'' Was the answer. But teh smiles still didn't leave the faces of his companions so he sighed...

''So troublesome...''

He found Mailes. He was in earlier years famous policemen until he beat up a pedophile when he found in his cellar multiple mutilated chidl corpses. Instead of giving him a medal they took his badge and kicked him out. Why? Because the same pedophile was actually the son of current vice president.

The case was tucked deeply away and all that were witnesses found themselves in peculiar situations that destroyed their reputation or life.

She actually saved him literally from jumping off the bridge. She knew how straightforward that person is and offered him this position. He asked could he bring his whole family in and when she said yes he literally bought WHOLE family.

From grandparents from both sides down to his cousins and their families.

She was at first stunned but after he reassured to her that he will rule over them so he should not worry she just let them inside.

Over fifty people only form one family line. But she felt lucky. Actually as soon they settled in, they asked what could they do from now on. Literally none of them looked like troublemaker so she gave them tasks and they readily went to handle it. Some took care of animals, some on farms and food and some went to check and clean the rest of the accommodations.

After all she made all those but had no one to clean everything yet.

So dealing it this way was fine as well.

When he got all the data and checked it it was about the time to close the main gate but suddenly ruckus could be heard outside. He stood up and with a swift walk, he appeared outside looking at bunch of people trying to get in.

His head started hurting... Not these people, pleaseeee.
