1 The Reincarnation

Rico's consciousness gradually awakened.

What's going on? How is it that I have not died!? I vividly remember that the evolved evil beast pierced through my heart. How can I still be alive!? Somehow,my body is not in pain... And I do not even feel the slightest discomfort. What the hell is happening?

Rico suddenly opened his eyes and quickly sat up. He found himself in a comfortably soft green bed, rendering a relaxing atmosphere. He quickly faced the mirror and look at the reflection of himself.

"What the heck? Is this true? My face became so young. I couldn't believe why is it happening.''

Ah! Rico... You… You woke up!"

A middle age lady gasp of surprise was heard from his ear and the same lady appeared in his line of sight.

At a glance, the lady dressed in red shirt looked to be around 40 years of age. A touching look of deep surprise was expressed by her eyes as clear and transparent as a pool of translucent spring water. 

Staring at the nearby lady, Rico took a closer look and a single word escape from his lips, "mom?"

The middle aged lady lifted her jade-like hands onto Rico's forehead and relaxed soon after. With a joyful expression, she spoke, "How delightful, your temperature is almost back to normal. You nearly scared me to death. Rico, are you okay? Tell me if you feel uncomfortable anywhere."

In the face of Rebecca's eyes that filled with deep concern, Rico woodenly shook his head. He stared only into space with a vacant gaze.

"Rest here for a while, I'll go and tell your father that you're awake. Today is your day! When you fainted, your father almost went crazy and personally went to find Doctor Gil for you."

"Wait mom, may I ask what's the date today?

"Oh, it's February 10, 2020, why are you asking son? Do you have important things to do this day?"

"It's Nothing mom, I'm just curious because you said earlier that it's my day today so I thought it was my birthday. Hehe."

''Naughty kid! Oh, I forgot to tell you the good news! Congratulations son, you made it. You are ranked first in Ophir Academy this semester. I hope you continue doing well in your studies...."

'Oh, I remember now. So, I reincarnated 10 days before the apocalypse occurred . I remember how the meteor showers devastated the lives of the humanity. Because of its unexplanable chemical substance that completely changed the humans and all other living things and turned them into zombies and mutated beasts made the world into a disaster. I remember how my family suffered from the cruelty of this world. Betrayal, selfishness, abuse of power - all of these will be shown by the people in order to survive. I know all of these because I've experienced it in the past. But now, I have the power to change my destiny. I have the chance to change the destiny of my love ones!'
