chapter 11 (side story)

meanwhile, in another parallel universe that wasn't an apocalyptic wasteland, Diana sat on her couch wondering what to do with her life. she was actively going to school to find her passion but she couldn't find one that suited her.

after the scandal with Eva, they began to date in public, not caring about the backlash for it. after all, I was rich. Anna was still going to high school and was top of her class, but she wanted to be an author.

there weren't any zombies, mutants, or anything of the sort, however, there was one thing that was off, and that was Diana's gut feeling. she felt like somebody was watching her from somewhere but no matter how hard she looked she couldn't locate the source of it.

"is something wrong," Eva called from the kitchen.

"no... I just thought I felt someone staring at me," I said as I placed a kiss on her cheek.

'i wonder who was staring at me. it felt as if many gazes were just staring at me,' i thought as I went to my room and slept.

that night I had a nightmare about me being in a zombie apocalypse. the me that I saw was carrying a large scythe and two pistols on my thigh. she was cutting down zombies left and right, however when she finished she looked directly at me and I woke up panting.

"Are you okay," Eva asked as she rubbed my back.

I ran to the bathroom and barfed at the gore I saw in the dream. just thinking about how bloody I was, and how many bodies lay at my feet made me barf again.

"what happened," Eva said as she helped me sit up.

"I had a vivid dream about a lot of gore," I said as I sat on the floor.

"want to tell me about it," Eva ask as she cleaned my mouth.

"maybe in the morning... I need to get cleaned up," I said as I brushed my teeth.

"make sure to shower, there's a surprise waiting," Eva whispered in my ear before leaving.

(meanwhile with violet)

nothing much changed for her. since the apocalypse happened she didn't find new ways to advance technology and she began running for mayor.

(Vanessa pov)

instead of being a cop, she was a detective. a pretty good one at the. there are times when she wondered why there are a lot of murders happening but she didn't know that the higher-ups were part of it.

(Melissa's pov)

being in a hospital with emergency patients coming in every 20 minutes was very bad for her health.

since there weren't many nurses working here, she had to work overtime, it's not like she had anything at home.

(in the mountains)

there sat a wolf looking at frosty plains looking for food for its pack. he was ready to fight at any moment, just to find the woman in his memory.

he kept charging on to find the woman that named him bolt. he would surely find her one day.... he will.
