Chapter 8: The Su Clan

Up above the clouds in the sky there was a level 2 wind wyvern. It was 11 meters big and had a carriage on its back. Sitting in front of the carriage was a middle-age man who was managing the wind wyvern.

His name was Yang Yi, the current care taker of the Yang clan and is currently escorting Yang Sen and his family to dragon city, where the Su clan is located.

Inside the carriage there were 5 people. Sitting at the back were Yang Len, Yang Sen and Yang Nen, while Yang Lin and Xu Caihong were sitting at the front discussing personal matters.

Yang Nen, the youngest of the group that was really excited earlier on was now bored to death from sitting in the same place for 2 hours. He didn't think it would take this long just to get to another city, what makes it worse is that he couldn't even started a conversation with Yang Sen and Yang Len.

Yang Sen would brush him off every time he tried to start the conversation. He just wanted to enjoy the dumpling he was currently eating. Yang Len on the other hand wouldn't even utter a single word, because he was feeling emotionally nervous right now.

Without anything to do or anyone to talk to Yang Nen Sigh.

"Huh..... Huh..... Huh....."

Yang Lin and Xu Caihong who were discussing important matters just kept discussing. Whereas Yang Len who was nervous, wasn't affect by Yang Nen's sighing or to put it simple, he just didn't hear it. The only person who was annoyed by this was Yang Sen, every time he would bite a piece of his dumpling, Yang Nen was just sigh, annoying Yang Sen deeply.

He looked toward Yang Nen and said

"Little Nen would you mind not sighing so much, its really killing my appetite."

"Oh... sorry big bro Sen, its just that its so boring. What else am I going to do to release this stress."

Yang Sen thought

(What the hell is this kid talking about? stress? really? can a spoil brat like my brother even have stress. Well whatever I'll just play along with him for now.)

Yang Sen then said

"Okay little you got me what do you want to talk about."

Yang Nen eyes immediately shine

"Well since we're heading to Dragon city, could you tell me a little bit about it."

"Hohoho, your in luck little Nen, your brother just learned about the cities history a few weeks ago, So its still fresh in there. Lets begin."

Yang Sen then started telling his story

" A thousand years ago, dragon city was a deserted wasteland that had no humans living in it. It was ruled by a ferocious mid-level 5 earthen wyvern and tons of earthen extreme beast under it. But one day, a traveler by the name of Su Kong came to waste land."

"He slaughtered and purge every earthen extreme beast of this place. This made the earthen wyvern extremely furious and went to confront Su Kong it self. When the both of them had finally met, they exchange hundreds of blows against each other. Inflicting minor and major injuries upon each other. Yet in the deciding moment, Su Kong was quick enough to cut the earthen wyvern head in half before it took his life."

"And although Su Kong had suffered massive injuries, he was still able to fully recover. Proud of himself by purging all of the earthen extreme beast of this place, he decided to established a clan here. Which became the Su clan we all know today. As time went on, dragon city began to flourished and more merchants and people came and was turned into the dragon city we all know today."

"Wah! I didn't know that dragon city would have such an amazing background, including the Su clan. Their ancestor was such a badass." Yang Nen was now acting all giddy.

( again! who is teaching this kid all of this words) Yang Sen thought for a moment ( Oh right! it was probably me).

Yang Sen tap Yang Nen on the shoulder.

"Since I told you this marvelous story. Would you stop bothering me."

Yang Nen nodded

"Mmh, now that I have something to fantasize about, it shouldn't be boring anymore."

After that 2 hours went in a blinked of an eye. They were now near the wall of dragon city. Below them were many travelers and merchants making their way into dragon city. As the wind wyvern was about to fly past the wall, it was stopped by a guard who was observing on the wall.

The guard then said.

"State your intention here in dragon city."

Yang Yi who was managing the wind wyvern didn't say anything but took out a golden medallion that had the word Yang inscribed on it. This golden medallion, was a medallion that represented the Yang Clan and only a few important members of the clan would have it.

When they were about to set out for dragon city. Yang Lin temporarily gave Yang Yi this medallion to show the guards who they were so they could enter dragon city.

When the guard saw that golden medallion that had the word Yang inscribed on it, he was flustered but quickly regain his composure and bowed before letting them in dragon city.

In this world there are 2 ways to legally enter the city and that is by paying the entrance fee like what the travelers and merchants are currently doing or having status. With status you can go in and out without having to pay the entrance fee and you can also fly over walls without being restricted.

"Wow! so this is dragon city huh, its as beautiful blue lake city" said the overly excited Yang Nen.

Yang Sen took a peek of the city and thought

(I hope I get to try interesting food while i'm here).

"It won't be long until we reach the Su clan now. Is everyone excited." said Yang Lin

Yang Sen just had a meh expression on his face while Yang Len was just too nervous to say anything. The only who was excited was Yang Nen, as he was still a kid, he likes to have a lot of fun.

Seeing that both Yang Len and Yang Sen really didn't care, Yang Lin couldn't help but let out a sigh. Xu Caihong puts her hand on his chest to comfort him and remind him that everything is gonna be okay.

An hour later they finally arrived at the Su clan. Their area was big and wide and they had many guards and servants. Befitting to be called the number one clan in dragon city.

The wind wyvern gently landed inside the Su clan manor. Everyone then exited the carriage to be greeted by an old man with a smile on his face.

"Greetings everyone, this old man is called Su Kai and I'm the current head care taker of the Su clan. My master has already told me about Patriarch Yang and his family coming today. Please follow me, I will take you to meet my master."

Yang Lin slightly nodded

"Alright, lead the way."

Everyone then followed behind Su Kai, including Yang Yi, who left the wind wyvern to be taken care of by the Su clans servant. The Su clan was a big clan that had a wide area of land spanning of 10 kilometers of land.

Finally after walking for a long time they stop at a red giant door. Su Kai, pushed the door open with both of his hands. Inside there were 3 people, sitting and having tea.

One boy, one girl and a middle-age man. After seeing the people outside, the middle-age man stood.

"Ah Yang Lin, you and your family are finally here, why don't everyone come in and join us for some tea."

The middle-age man was the current patriarch of the Su clan that was called Su Wong. The little boy next to him was Su Ping who was the son of Su Wong and is 6 years-old this year and finally the little girl next to him was Su Li, the daughter of the Su Wong, sister of Su Ping and was 10 years-old this year.

Yang Lin nodded

"We will, but first why not let me introduce my kids. My youngest right here is Yang Nen, my second oldest here is Yang Sen and finally my eldest Yang Len. Kids say hello to your uncle."

"Hello, uncle."

"Greeting, uncle."

"Greeting, uncle."

Su Wong nodded with a smile

"Its nice to meet you boys. Why don't I introduce my kids to you as well. To my right is my youngest son Su Ping and to my left is my oldest daughter Su Li. Kids go greet your uncle Yang.

"Greetings, uncle Yang"

After introducing, Yang Sen and his family went to take a seat. Yang Lin, Xu Caihong and Su Wong were having a great conversation. Yang Len who was nervous through this whole entire trip sneaks a look at Su Li from time to time.

He didn't think Su Li would be this cute, thanks to this he regain some of his confidence back. Yang Nen was talking with his new friend Su Ping, who he became friends with the moment he saw him. They were both the same age and added Yang Nen socializing skills, they quickly became friends.

Yang Sen was just observing the situation saying nothing, he felt like something was still missing but he didn't know what. He just hope the feeling he's having now turns out to be something good but he doubt it. Yang Sen also notice that Yang Len has been sneaking more peeks at Su Li and he could see that Su Li was feeling uncomfortable by this.

"Okay, now that we're done warming up, lets talk about the main topic now" said Su Wong.
