The First Encounter!! Writing Names Equals A Home!!

"Ouch, watch where your putting your hands," Jack exclaimed, gritting his teeth. "It hurts a hella lot more then it looks."

"It looked painful to begin with." A female with a pale complexion, long black hair, and amver eyes stepped into his line of sight. "Your pretty tough though your the only one here who was injured."

"Exactly!" Agreed the female who was currently bandaging up the wounds on his leg. She was a mature woman with waist length blonde hair and purple colored eyes. She had been the first one who had come forward and began to bandage his wounds without even asking questions or even requesting consent.

"Okay, okay, who the hell are you girls?" Jack asked looking from the black haires girl to the blonde, clearly confused.

The black haired one seemed like she was about to answer when the crowd behind her parted and a group of people emerged into the small circle that the rest of the people had given to Jack and the two females.

The people definitely weren't in the group that had been running for their lives as these people actually had swords and even some moderate armor to go along with it. They looked way more prepared and many times stronger then anyone in their group.

"We were told that we would find the leader of this group over here," One of the men said, gripping the hilt of his sword. "Which one of you is it?"

As if on cue, numerous fingers pointed directly at Jack, even (to Jacks surprise) Vegeta and the orange haired guy pointed their fingers at him. Jack wasnt entirely sure why they appointed him the leader, but it was useless to tell them he wasn't as the majority had already called him out.

"So your the leader?" The obe in the lead asked, his eyes giving Jack a full once over. "You dont look like much in the way of a leader. If it was up to me, ALL of you would be thrown back out to that horde of demons. However, we have to follow the rules otherwise we'll pay the penalty."

The man pulled out a piece of paper from a slot that was built into his armor and began to read from a certain line. "All human refugees that seek safety within the walls will be assigned a home and given jobs of manual labor. Those that refuse will be labeled criminals and will be subject to ejection of the City of Syphilia."

"In other words, you want us all to be separated and scattered over this city you call Syphilia?" Jack asked, wincing lightly as the blonde woman tightened his bandages.

"Well most of you anyways," The man said, his eyes trailing over the figures of the females closest to Jack. "There are many exceptions to this rule, but yeah you got it correct. I gues your not as stupid as you look."

The mood of the crowd got tense rather quick, and the two females next to Jack got a really cold look on their faces, though it wasnt clear to him why they would. He was the one who had gotten insulted not them or the crowd so it was silly to think that they were getting mad on his behalf.

"Look, we're here on your turf and we'll follow your rules," Jack said as he pushed himself off the ground and struggled to stand. "However, you better not even THINK of touching the females of this group. You may have strength on your side but we have sheer force of numbers. Think before you act!!"

It was as if Jack's words made him aware of his hundreds of people surrounding him and the mood of the few people next to him. If a few people attacked him, even if he fended them off, the rest of the people would no doubt take their place. It was a basic mob mentality and would set off a huge blood bath for both sides.

The man let go of the hilt of his sword and frowned. "Lucky for you refugees, I have to go fill out paperwork regarding your entrance and your new housing assignments." He reached into the pocket of his armor and pulled out multiple scraps of blank paper and a pen. "I will need you to write down the names of all those who are here and then hand the list to me when I return." He handed the list to a guy standing next to him.

"Will that be all?" Jack asked. He had been about to fall over after losing his balance but was saved by a rather average looking male looking arounf 14 or 15. "All we have to do is sign our names and you'll give us shelter and a job? Why is that?"

The man snorted and waved his hand, signaling for the rest of his men to start leaving. "As if you dont already know!! Dont insult my intelligence! We'll be back within the hour for that paper so you just make sure everyone in your group signs." He turned around and walked back through the crowd, disappearing into the vast number of people.

Jack sighed softly, his confident expression flickering into that of relief before returning to his previous display of 'I know what I'm doing' face. He didn't have time to relax just yet as there were things that had to be done, such as ensuring that everyone present had a roof over their heads.

Jack looked beside him at the male who was propping him up. The young man had messy blonde hair and bright blue eyes, along with a headband that depicted a leaf tied around his forehead. He was actually the same height as Jack was so it was pretty easy for him to wrap Jack's arm around his neck, propping him up.

"Thanks for the assist man, I appreciate it," Jack said sincerely as he struggled to balance on his one good leg. "Whats your name? If you even remember it that is."

"My name is Naruto, Naruto Uzumaki," The boy said, flashing an innocent smile. "And don't worry about it, after all we are all on the same team."

"Thanks buddy." Jack said before turning his attention to the black and blonde hair women who had spoken to him earlier. "As for you two, why'd you get so mad when that bastard was hating on me? You could've made things worse!!"

"Do you remember the two people whom you carried in earlier at the expense of your own life?" The black haired woman asked. "Well that was us."

The blonde hair woman nodded her head, confirming what her companion had said. "You risked your life for us, so how could we just stand there and let that pig insult you like that?"

Jack sighed in exasperation and a hint of embarassment. "What are your names? You can at least tell me that right? That way I know what to call you when I lecture you in the future."

The black hair smiled and touched the black bow on the top nof her head. "My name is Blake Belladonna, its a pleasure to meet you Captain Jack."

The blonde, giving off an air of maturity gave a slight bow, the edges of her mouth curving up. "My name is Evangeline A.K McDowell. Its also a pleasure to make your acquaintance."

"Okay, then I shall call you Bella and Eva for short," Jack said, laughing when he saw their faces change into one of surprise. "Anyways, I got things that have to he done."

He shifted his eyes over to the guy holding the sheets of paper. He was short, around the same height as Vegeta had been, with grayish colored hair and vand around his forehead showing a picture of a bull. He was obviously confused about what he was supposed to do and was just standing in place, staring at the people surrounding Jack.

"Hey you, shorty, follow me," Jack said before turning his attention back to Naruto. "Hey could you take me up where everyone can see me?"
