4 Signing A Form!!

The place that the group had entered beyond the large wall looked to be some sort of park, with a large grassy field and numerous benches and tables scattered about. The place could easily hold a few thousand people, so it wasn't even a problem for everyone to give each other some space.

"Over there," Jack said, pointing towards the largest table near the center of the crowd. "Take me over there Naruto, and kid you follow behind me."

As Jack, Naruto, and the short guy walking behind them made their way forward, everyone parted and made a clear path for them, though Jack wasn't entirely sure why. It probably had something to do with them being polite and allowing a limping young man to pass through, a common courtesy. Though this was also unlikely since everyone here had lost their memories.

Naruto patiently lead Jack up to the table and then let go and backed away, backing up slightly. He looked like he wanted to help Jack but it was clear that the male with black hair wanted to do it himself.

Jack used his upper body strength to get up onto the table, refusing to show anyone who was watching him the slightest nit of weakness. If he did that then the chances of them listening to him would drop considerably.

After a few seconds of struggling, Jack managed to stand up on the table and overlook the crowd of people. Many of them were having side conversations and talking amongst themselves, while others were silent and watching as Jack took his position. in preparation for his speech.

"Excuse me, can I have your attention?" Jack asked, waving his hands. However, he only managed to catch the attention of a third of the crowd, while the other remaining people continued making nouse and ignoring him.

"HEYYYY, PAY FUCKING ATTENTION," Jack yelled out, becoming impatient. He was actually already super tired and didnt feel like dealing with the couple of hundreds of random people who didn't want to listen to him. "DO YOU WANT A HOME OR NOT???"

Everyones head turned, the crowd falling completely silent within moments. It was like pulling a switch, shutting off all noises from everyone.

"Good, I got everyone's attention," Jack said with a nod. "Now I need everyone to listen to what I'm about to say, its essential if you want to survive in this city." He shifted his foot, maintaining his balance pretty easily. "Now, I would like everyone to form a single line."

Jack glanced over at the short kid who was standing at the side of the table. He smiled and held out his hand, indicating that he wanted the paper. The boy handed him the paper and then retreated into the crowd, disappearing from view.

"I have a question," a voice said. The people near the voice backed away from the person, displaying him on full view. It was the guy that the GM had called Yuusuke Urameshi, a kid dressed entirely in green. "Why should we listen to you?"

"You dont have to if you dont want to, but before you decide, allow me to pass on the message that the guards had passed onto me." Jack smirked and began repeating what he had been told. "Those that refuse to sign the sheet of paper and abide by the laws of this city will be labeled criminals and extricated from the city of Syphilia. However, if you do sign it, you'll be given shelter and even given a job that will pay you for working."

Murmurs began to spread through the crowd as many began to discuss what Jack had just said. However many of them were still against the idea of actually signing the paper, choosing not to believe Jack.

Jack waved the sheet of paper above his head and pointed at a spot to his left. "Those that wish to actually stay in the city can line up here and sign the paper. If you don't wish to sign then don't blame me if you get thrown out."

A couple hundred people began to line up separating themselves from the ones that were still hesitating about what to do. It was clear that they didn't trust it, but Jack was sure they would come around as it was either this or going back to run around with the demonic wolf horde.

Climbing off the table, Jack handed the piece of paper to the first one in line, a young man with black hair and an outfit with a picture of blue and white wings on the back of it.

"All you guys have to do is sign it, pass it behind you and then stand off to the side so I know who is joining us and who is going to ve fed to the wolf pack." Jack hobbled forward, the pain in his leg almost unbearable, but he kept his expression unreadable.

The people in line began to follow his instructions, signing their names down and then passed it along before standing off to the side. It was now a matter of waiting, waiting to see if the other hundreds of people would walk over and stand in line.

Jack, no longer interested in who signed or not sat down on the bench and closed his eyes, an immense feeling of sleepiness sweeping over him. He was tired, not to mention he was in so much pain, and desperately wanted this horrible day to end.

Not a single thing was going his way, apart from surviving a wolf attack. He just wanted to close his eyes and take a long well deserved nap. However, he knew he couldn't, because without someone to push these guys forward, they would no doubt perish in this world within a couple of days. He felt that it was a drag but he had to help them, he had to make sure that they got through this Fight For Survival!
