3 Chapter three - The dream

I opened my eyes to see a weird woman standing over me. She had long black hair ending just below her ribs, and brown-black eyes. She wore a cloak colored with black and red swirls. "Camron," She said.

"Who are you?" I asked, drowsily.

"That you will find the answer to at a different time."

I stared at her, worried. "Why are you here?"

"Because it is my job to watch over you... and your brother."

"Chris? Why us?"

"Because you both are so troubled. Didn't you fight before you fell asleep? You hardly ever sleep and he refuses to help you now. I wonder why."

"Why do you know-" I began, but suddenly she was gone. "M-Miss?"

I looked around to see I was in a place that I hadn't seen in a long time. I was on the sidewalk where the man and woman fought.

My eyes went wide and I hoped I could find them so I ran around the yard looking for the man. "Papa?" I yelled. "Where are you?"

There was no response. I yelled those same words for what felt like hours. I began to lose my voice and my hope. I walked back to the sidewalk and sat down. I just want my dad back, I thought.

The sun began to set and my eyes were swollen from crying.

"Are you okay?" A gental voice asked near by.

I looked up to see a boy around my age kneeling in front of me. "No."

"What's wrong?"

"I'm stuck."

"Pardon?"

"Why do you even care?"

"Because I'm me. And you are you."

"What does that mean?"

"What do you mean? It's me, Nico."

"I don't know a Nico."

"Of course you don't remember me," He laughed. " You haven't seen me for 10 years."

"10 years?"

"When you sat right there and watched a man and woman fight. Your parents, as a matter of fact. Your brother talked to your mom and you watched until I came and talked to you. I had ' no manners' you said because I addressed you as 'girl'."
