5 A Reason For Fear.

(Hell, Samael's Realm)

Samael thinks on what Jack said "I don't wanna loss anyone anymore" he breaths deeply and thinks to himself "After what you've been through, you need someone to confide in Jack" his thoughts are interrupted by Agart who looks at her father with confusion seeing him lost in thought "What's wrong father" Samael shakes his head "Nothing, just thinking" Lilith sits down next to him "Sure about that dear" Samael sighs "It's more so a conversation I remember... having with Jack about...everything really" Agrat perks up "You knew him before... how I thought he was a modern Nephilem" Samael chuckles "No, he's... an original, the son of an unnamed watcher... and the last of the original Nephilem" Lilith and Agrat look at Samael in shock, he continues "And considering all the brutal history he's partaken in, I can see why he's hesitant to grow attachments, he's been alive and alone for too long, no one who really understands him, can't blame him for not being thrilled with your plan Agrat" Agrat nods and leaves the room thinking on what her father said "So you've been through hell and back, yet you act so calm, so kind, but have issues letting people get close, well I'll change that don't you worry Jack~".

(Mount Tambour)

Jack sits at the peak and stares out at the sun, he then thinks to himself "What should I do, do I find someone or talk to someone about everything or do I just stay like this... indecisive and alone" Jack growls and meditates determined to reveal his past memories.

(Flashback)

Jack lays on his bed thinking to himself "I wonder what the rest of the world looks like" he then feels himself unable to move, he try's to move but only his fingers twitch slightly, he then feels something climb on top of him, he doesn't see anything but he feels it, he then strains and manages to grab his alarm clock and turn it on, it goes off and the thing leaves, Jack gets up and pants before relaxing again and falling asleep, unaware that the demon didn't leave, it only looked at him with more intrigue.

(Flashback end)

Jack continues digging into his repressed memories.

(Flashback)

"Jack~" Jack wakes up, able to move, but in a place, he doesn't recognise, he hears the voice again this time closer, "Where are you~" Jack hides behind a wall, he holds his breath as he sees the person walk past him, he breaths deeply, but in that spilt second he feels himself being thrown against the wall, he grunts and runs through the place which keeps changing to block his escape, he growls before he hears something coming from all sides, he doges but is hit by a few chains which wrap around his neck, chest, arms and legs, he grunts and try's to fight out but is suddenly yanked back by an unknown force, he then feels someone caressing his face before he then appears bound to an wall, Jack struggles to free himself before catching a glimpse of the person, she was made of air. Jack doubles his attempts, but his invader just laughs and changes the wall to a bed, Jack now looks at the persons yellow reptilian eyes which are filled with a dark passion, his breath hitches and he feels the demon grab his shirt, she easily tears through it and caresses his chest before Jack hears a ringing sound in his ears, the demoness scowls and Jack feels himself wake up.

(Flashback end)

Jack growls "Come on its here somewhere".

(Flashback)

Jack looks at Gabriel with a stoic look in his eyes as he raises his sword to strike him, Jack doesn't close his eyes but just before it hits, Gabriel stops, he doesn't say anything for a few minutes before saying something that broke Jack to pieces "God, wishes for you to be spared young Nephilem, I hope you live a good life" he disappears leaving Jack broken, he looks up at the sky "Why, why, why!?" He sits there a moment before grabbing his robe and heading off, grabbing his mother's corpse and going to a secluded patch of land and burying her, he then sets up powerful wards to protect it from age and then leaves placing a piece of wood as her marker with his amulet on it.

(Flashback)

Jack gasps and realises he was crying, he grits his teeth and heads to the location where the secluded patch is.

(Southern Forest, Secluded Section)

Jack arrives and sees it, his mother's resting place, Jack approaches slowly,

he looks at the amulet he left there, he grabs it and puts it back on before kneeling down and muttering "Mater, pacis spem habes in caelum".

He then sits there a while thinking about everything he did from the campings in Ancient Greece, to the wars of Rome, the battles of Britan, France and all the other countries and the world wars.

(1 hour later)

Agrat feels Jacks presence near there and finds the secluded patch, she sees Jack mutter "Mater, pacis spem habes in caelum" she smiles "this is where he buried her, I will show him I care by being respectful and caring" she approaches slowly.

Jack hears and feels her approach but doesn't stop wanting to at least hear her out before leaving, she sits next to him "So this where you come every year on the day, if you don't mind me asking...why do you do it?" She asks in a soft tone, Jack stares forward "This is where I buried my mother, so many years ago, I have repressed my memories of "that time" but know I'm not hiding the truth from myself anymore" she smiles "Jack... in all seriousness" she puts a hand on his shoulder, "Do you want help?" Jack looks at her for a minute and without a word nods, she hugs him while Jack hugs back, thinking to himself "I will see where this goes at least".
