8 The Shòu families offer and the Cross family want answers

I just finished helping the girls with their cultivation when I felt a force of Qi coming to attack my exposed neck, quickly I use my inner Qi to form the Dragon scale armor technique that is to harden my skin, as the impact caused me to kneel.

In the main entrance stood a butler with a slight bow he addressed the two, "Miss Marie Shi De Cross and Miss Lily Shi De Cross, the family formally announces that you are now a part of the Shi De Clan after reaching the Forging stage with your own power and merit, also congratulates Miss Lily of her breakthrough into the Foundation Stage." The butler then motions for them to follow him into a side room.

As they walk into the room the butler looks at them for the first time, he notices that while he couldn't cultivate further than the Qi Gathering Stage, he couldn't find the so-called first child, "Miss Marie where is your son at, shouldn't he have come with you?" the butler asked causally but directly at the bodyguards that escorted them in.

"They were the only ones inside the home at the time of arrival the boy maybe with some friends or has an activity after school hours. He goes to Marie Lauran Queen Jr. high school and so far, it has been a week since he has entered." The guard that drove the SUV spoke as they neared a grand doorway leading to an unknown room.

Marie and Lily walked to the oriented door and entered, inside were marble floorings and pillars around what seemed to be the guest room that people have for visiting the walls also have paintings depicting cultivating ancestors and Demon Beasts of varying sizes.

In the center of the room were red linin coaches along with a female woman in her thirties along with two young girls on either side behind her, the lady was in a kimono with fire designs along with a Golden Dragon wrapping around the entire cloth.

The girls, like the woman, were wearing a kimono with snowflakes along with a silver snake going the opposite directions of wrapping around the girls.

"Greetings Great-Grandmother I hope your cultivation has been well and that you can reach the next realm of Dao contemplation." Marie bowed to the woman, "also aunties I hope that your next attainment in cultivation will further expand your horizons." She also bowed to the two girls behind the woman.

The woman only grunted while the girls remained quiet, "where is your son marina, he has caused trouble for us with the Heaven Sect when he kicked out the girl he is to marry." The woman questioned her after her greetings and stood from the couch.
