The battle raged on for days with no clear winner, during this time the other old ones began to let the fires of rebellion burn fiercely in their hearts as such all the jotun and elves declared independence with the belief the 3 races were too busy with war and won't bother with them, this idea grew until all the other old ones declared independence, sadly the 3 races temporarily stopped attacking each other and attacked all other races before attacking each other again.
The wars spiraled out of control with all races involved it became a true world War, that's what it was called at first but this war led to the extinction of the dwarves, Hobbits and gnomes while the numbers of all other races plummeted greatly, all remaining races created their main fortresses, which was meant to preserve their race and be a safe haven to each individual races, these locations become the capital cities for all races like evernight for the vampires, walpugris for the witches, lunar city for the wolves, elfheim for elves, elysium for the Shura, just to name a few.
At the peak of the culling, more than 60% of the total population in the world was dead, yet the wars didn't seem over yet until the Catastrophe happened.
The first abyssal creature, apophis was born with strength like no other he alone slaughtered the remaining population.
for those unaware the abyssal creatures a creatures born from the world itself, a strange energy gathers at a point for a long period of time and if the world is unlikely they are born with only slaughter and destruction in its mind some say they a mindless but that's not true the stronger ones are smart enough to come up with strategies and rule the weaker ones but they still thrist for death and chaos, it's in their instinct as such there is a kill on sight notice for all of them, when an abyssal creature fails to be born they realease a strange energy which goes on to corrupt other living beings and turn them into abyssal creatures, luckily there are numerous ways to avoid this.
Apophis went in a rampage killing millions so all races not wanting to end up like the dwarves, declared a truce and contreated all their attacks on apophis and after a joint attack by the original, Primes, ancestral witches, the 4 Primordial Shura, elven monarch, human emperor, fae royals, jotun sovereign, asura king and siren svarar. Each becoming a legend after that, with apophis dead all races just went their own way to do their own stuff, so peace was achieved, it may shock you to know the original vampire, Primes and Ancestoral witches are alive till now with some fae royals and some jotun but all the rest form that time have passed on. Only the original, Primes and ancestoral witches may live forever cause they are immortal, biological at least.
