4 It isn't really my fault..

Evelyn glanced at Ash and said, ''I know you are thinking something really dangerous''.

Ash chuckled and replied, ''You know me very well''.

Apart from a boss and an assistant relationship, Ash and Evelyn were childhood best friends as they studied together and grew up together. 

They used to chat non-stop and hang out with each other but when they were at the office, both of them were strictly professional in their work.

At the shopping mall,

Evelyn gasped with shocked expressions as Ash dragged her inside the Lingerie shop. 

Evelyn asked, ''Ash! Why are we here?''

Picking up a black netted lingerie, Ash said, ''Tomorrow's meeting is very important and we need to secure the contract ''.

'' Beren is already head over heels for me, Ash. I just have to step out of washroom after a vanilla-scent bath and he would leave his second wife, his laptop and jump over me without a seconds delay''. Said Evelyn.

Ash rolled her eyes and said, ''Eve, stop brandishing your relationship in front of your single best friend''.

'' Then get a man, my dear''. Evelyn added while going through some lingerers and checking their size.

Ash picked up greyish semi-transparent lingerie and passed it to Evelyn. ''Try this one''.

''The size seems fine''. Evelyn replied.

''Aghhhh, look whose here? Are you again planning to seduce someone else, mate or husband or planning on going to club to spend a night?'' A Woman in her late twenties said.

''How much time is left?'' Ash asked.

Evelyn chuckled and said, ''Enough to deal with this stupid cousin of yours''.

''My taste has improved, my dear cousin. It's not bad as it was before''. Ash said before walking to another set of sexy lingerers.

Mia Williams frowned and said, ''What do you mean bad? Did you just called my taste bad?''

Ash placed her hand on her chest and faked a gasp as she said, ''When did I said that? It's you who's assuming things''.

''You darn-''.

''Oh my god, my Eve and Ash darlings are here''. Someone came rushing from behind saying in a loud yet in soprano voice.

Mr Tom came running and hugged both girls tightly.

'' Agh, after so many day's I saw these pretty faces''. Tom said.

Ash chuckled and said, ''It's you who's always busy that can't even have five minutes to give a call at least''.

''Exactly''. Evelyn added.

  Pulling away, Mr Tom said, ''Fashion week is around and you know how hectic it is? There are many rivals as well''.

''How's our sister-in-law doing?'' Evelyn asked with a mischievous smile.

''Your sister-in-law surely wants to have triplets in one go, she gives me such a hard time every night. I feel like I have hit the bottom dry''. Mr Tom bluntly replied.

Ash shook her head while grinning widely. They knew Mr Tom was always blunt.

''You two love to brag about your love life's in front of me''. Ash said.

''My dear then gets a man and you won't have time to listen to us bragging about our love-life's''. Mr Tom said.

''Mr. Tom, it's a pleasure to meet you''. Mia Williams butted in and said.

Tom frowned and said, ''Who are you? I haven't seen such a face with these many wrinkles and oh my god there are dark circles and a pimple on the forehead as well''.

Tom didn't let her speak and further added, ''If you are here to ask for a chance to walk in my show then I am not even sorry but we  don't give a chances to such faces''.

Ash barge in and said, ''Aghhh, Mr Tom don't talk like that. You are breaking my cousin's heart. I know she's surely here to ask for a golden opportunity to work with you''.

''But my darling there isn't any unfilled place now''. Tom said.

''Then add her to the swop list''. Evelyn said.

''That's full too''. Tom said.

Ash faked a sigh and said, ''Sorry Mia! I cannot help you with this''.

Mia Williams frowned and said, ''Did I asked help from you?''

''Why are you being rude? She just tried to help you get a chance to come on-ramp''. Evelyn said.

''You think, I don't know what she's trying to do. She's just seeking a chance to humiliate me''. Said Mia.

Looking at her with moist teary eye's, Ash said, ''What are you saying elder sister? Humiliate you? I am your younger cousin but you think so bad of me. I was trying to help you secure a walk-in Tom's upcoming show. I am helping you not humiliating. Remember, four years ago you asked help from me and I did helped you''. She wiped loudly.

Looking around Mia Williams frowned and said, ''Stop it, Ash''.

Everyone knew about the conflicts between these Williams cousins but all of them thought of Ash greatly because she was the beauty queen, her parents were ruling the business and showbiz world, Ash herself was strong and independent while Mia was sticking to her parents and using her family's surname to get chances .

Tom saw Ash weeping so he shouted, ''You- who the hell are you, huh? Ash was trying to help you but you dare to make her cry like this, that also inside my store. Get out of here before I ask someone to throw you out''.

''No, Mr Tom. It isn't her fault''. Said Evelyn.

''She's still taking your side and you darn brat. Get out of here before my temper shoots''. Tom shouted.

Gritting her teeth, Mia Williams left the store stomping her high heel shoes angrily on the floor.

As soon as the crow around them disappeared, Mr Tom chuckled and said, ''Ash, you're such a drama queen''.

Ash smirked and said, ''Well, I was born like this so it isn't my fault''.
