1 Prologue

Two pairs of hearts beating as one...in symphony with the other. A match made in heaven...a fated love.

The young wolf prowled alone in the birch forest. It was against the rules to move around the forest alone, especially for the young ones....the ones just finishing their puberty. The rule was mainly made to protect the young ones from dangers. But the wolf did not fear anything in the forest because he knew he was very strong, even stronger than most other adults in their pack. But the wolf wanted sometime alone away from his brother-in -arms, his fellow mates who were playing in the river some distance away. He knew he would be scolded by the elders of his pack. But he did not care. He wanted time alone to remember the most essential thing. He wanted to remember the small tinkling laugh, the sound he last heard 9 years back.

The laugh of a nine year old...the laugh of his soulmate...

....

One hundred and fifty miles away....

A large bustling city...

The city lights began lighting up one by one, eclipsing the beauty of the stars and the full moon. The city showed no signs of retiring for the night. Among the millions of light, one such light lit up large bedroom. A sleeping girl slept on, secured in her dreams of a wolf cub, which she would forget on waking up. On waking up she would feel so sad for no reason, she would try as hard as she could to remember her dream. But that dream would fade away just like the memories of her childhood love, the wolf.

Now, she slept on...slept on, oblivious to the anguish present in the heart that beat as strongly as hers one hundred and forty miles away...

.....

Far away,

I must find her the, wolf thought. Even if I have to leave my pack, I must find her...

Even if I have to go to the ends of the world....
