8 Talk in Private

"Intruder!", one of the men called out. Michael looked at the intruder, but he couldn't get a proper eyeline because of all the men that were around him. The men rushed towards Lucas and jumped at him. Lucas, meanwhile, just smiled. His eyes turned red, and all of the men who were mid air, fell down like a house of cards. Now, Michael could see that it was Lucas who was the 'intruder'.

"Lucas! Why are you here? I thought you were resting.", he asked Lucas with shock. With the injuries that Lucas was supposed to have, even standing up would be a difficulty, much less walking here in the open.

"You really have to take care of your standards, Michael. Every one here is so... weak. I don't know how to put it, but your pack will get massacred if Peter comes here. You are lucky I never mentioned you to anyone.", Lucas said. All of the men on the ground started growling. They were very offended by Lucas' words.

"Let's go somewhere private.", Michael said reluctantly. He led Lucas to an office of sorts, a little more to the right side of the ware house.

"So then, what the hell is happening? You are fine. Fine! I saw a god damn hole in you.", Michael said agitated.

Lucas sighed. He took off his shirt, and turned back, revealing a very masculine back to Michael. But it was not that interested him. It was a very active tattoo that did. A tattoo of a wolf was etched onto Lucas' skin, but it didn't behave like a tattoo. It was moving around, like a fish. Michael's face turned ashen.

"He's awake? You couldn't happen to mention it to me?", he snarled.

"Hold on, cowboy. I just found out a few minutes ago, and he is already coming up with demands.", Lucas put his arms up.

"Do you realize the gravity of the situation, Lucas? What is happening to you right now, they are same tell tale signs that you showed at the red gathering. The exact same ones.", Michael shouted.

"Just relax, Michael. Do you think that I am an amnesiac? You just remember one massacre. I went through the same incidents hundreds of times. History always repeats itself. Sometimes, we can't do anything about it."

"We can't do anything about it? Every time Fenrir awoke, at least a hundred lives had to be given as a tribute to keep him satiated. Where do you think you are going to find a hundred damnable souls before you start attacking innocent ones?", Michael asked.

"Don't you see the perfect timing? I have to kill Peter and that Marquess girl anyways.", Lucas dismissed Michael's inquisitive tone with a wave of his hand. But, Michael was nowhere near done with the conversation.

"Th-th-the Marquess?", Michael quivered. "The Marquess was behind your murder attempt?"

"You know her?", Lucas looked at Michael with sharp eyes.

"Know her? Lucas, she is literally the one who controls all of the packs in the northern hemisphere. Were you living under a rock all these years? All the packs had to pay her a tribute just to survive. She even has ties to vampires. Why didn't you tell me that this involved her.", Michael was agitated. He was pacing around the office room.

"Just tell them to hurry. If they are here, things will get much, much simpler.", Lucas spoke softly.

"Did you really think that they would come just because you beckoned? They were right there with you that day. Do you really think that they would return for the heartless mass murderer that you are about to become?", Michael shouted.

"If they don't come, no one will be able to stop me once I start killing. All of Brooklyn, no all of New York will become a grave yard once I get started. Just get them here. I have to go out. Fenrir is getting restless.", Lucas turned away and left the room.
