2 Call for Help

Lucas started coughing up blood all of a sudden. He slowly got up, barely. He looked around. His clothes were covered in blood, but he did not look like the monstrosity that attempted to kill him. He looked like a normal human. The same could not be said about those around him.

Around Lucas, tens of corpses were strewn around, and each and every single one of them looked like a wolf, except that they weren't.

This truly was a barren place. He slid his hand in his pocket and took out his phone. However, fate hadn't been as kind to it as it had been to Lucas himself. The phone was shattered, and was not usable at all. Lucas looked around. It was a very bloody place. He came here in the first place because Peter told him that he was attacked by a rival pack.

Even when he did arrive, there were many werewolves who were fighting Peter, so Lucas had assumed the worst and joined the battle. Little did he expect the sudden betrayal. Lucas limped over to one of the bodies and checked the dead man's pockets. Obviously, he had a phone. However, the phone was locked. Lucas bent over and held the man's hand. He wiped of the blood with his own pant, and put the index finger on the sensor.

Flick! The phone opened. Lucas opened the numpad. He did not intend to call the pack at all. After facing a betrayal from his own Beta, he would never even think about trusting the rest of the pack in the state he was in. He started typing a number on the numpad. His hands were shaking, as he was not close to being in the right shape to be doing anything except rest. He looked at the phone, but even his eyesight was getting fuzzy. Shaking his head swiftly to regain consciousness, he started typing out a number.

The phone started ringing. He brought it close to his ear, as he started limping away from this scene of total chaos. He walked to the only direction that he could, towards the road. Knowing that Peter had a car, there was no way that Peter was still here. Also, Lucas was still a werewolf, and he still had heightened senses.

"Hello? Michael? It's me, Lucas.", Lucas said, his voice trembling.

"Lucas? What is it? You haven't called me since the red gathering.", a male voice came from the other side of the phone call.

"I was betrayed, Michael. You were right. I couldn't trust any one. I thought that I could trust Peter, but I couldn't. I am almost dead. I can't believe that I was brought to such a horrible state by a goddamn beta. And a weak one at that."

"You were what? Where are you? How long before you lose control?"

"I am not that weak, Michael. I can still hold it inside for another hour, but you better come here as fast as possible. I am at the Bronx Cliffs. And, bring some Moon drops. I am going to need to heal as fast as possible. I will pay you back.", Lucas said.

"Shut up. Now's not the time. Just wait there. I will be coming there very soon. You better not die on me. I don't want to deal with something like the Red Gathering again."

Lucas dropped his hand back to his hand. He started crushing the phone in his hand, and he dropped it on the ground. A few static noises still came from the phone, but that was all. Lucas just went to one of the big rocks that were lying around, and sat down. He used the rock as a support, as he sat facing the road to the cliff. It was a rarely visited place, so he wasn't concerned that someone would find him at this state. His eyes, which were glowing red, started dimming. He closed his eyes, and when he reopened them, they lost the glow and became completely brown, like a normal human's.

Soon after, he heard the sound of a car arriving. He did not even move from his position. He was far too exhausted to do anything at all. The car came to his eyeline soon after, and stopped in front of him. A tall man with blonde hair stepped out. If anyone saw him, they would think that he was a model. He walked to Lucas, and threw a small vial towards him. Lucas raised his hand and barely caught it.

He opened the vial, and the moment that he did, the liquid inside glowed white. Not even hesitating, he took a swig of the Moon Drops.

"You are too trusting, Lucas. You are too dangerous to be that trusting. I warned you so many times.", the blonde man said.

"Shut up and get me somewhere better than here. I need some rest.", Lucas scoffed.
