To See Her Again

Zaha opened his eyes to feel a presence inside his tent. A breath later, he felt an excruciating pain in his gut. He groaned, grasping his solar plexus.

"Is that you, Duchess?" He tried to speak even when it was painful. "I thought you were still raiding the Giants."

Harriet stepped out from the shadow inside the tent, smiling softly. "Look at you, Zaha. This is the first time you got hurt this badly in these five years."

"Could it be that you can't do anything right without me?" Harriet asked.

Zaha snorted, "It seemed that everything worsened the moment you took your guard down."

It was estimated that the raid would last around two weeks because a battle with an unknown creature would ensue. But unexpectedly, the Giants did not put up a fight. It just left her with the important things.

Harriet slowly approached Zaha and sat beside his bed on a small chair. She was about to reply, but before she could even speak a single word, Zaha cut her off.
