Prologue

Many eyes stared at the scene of the incident with loud booming sirens screaming, but my eyes searched for something else. Something that I had come to collect, but it was nowhere in sight.

"Katie Warren," I said solemnly taking the paper up to my face as I studied the picture and back up at the supposedly dead corpse. I turn to study the picture again to make sure I didn't get the wrong person but as I look back up to the girl lying in the stretcher this is definitely her. My hand travels to the back of my head in confusion.

I went through the ambulance with my familiar for further investigation. However, I found a pair of crystal gold eyes looking straight back at mine.

She stared at me like she was able to see me when no one actually could. I looked into those eyes to searched for an answer but what I found was another interesting discovery. An Alpha. I hummed.

Her wolf was screaming at the sight of me. I smirk. Well hello there, mate.
