Chapter 27

"Yuri!" Chesca jumped on Yuri from behind, making the omega almost fall flat on his face if he hadn't used his other foot for support.

"Happy birthday, Ches," Yuri chuckled as soon as he realized it was Chesca. "Thank you! Did you get here okay?" she said with a smile as she moved beside Yuri. "Yup, Paris was such a great help," Yuri said as he looked at Paris, who was standing on his other side.

"Oh, you're there," Chesca said as she looked at Paris with a bored facial expression. "Yeah, I'm here. Happy birthday, Ches," Paris smiled, trying not to show his annoyance to maintain his princely demeanor. "Thanks," Chesca gave him a smile.

Chesca and Yuri talked to each other some more, while Paris just stood there, watching them talk. The more he looked at them, the more he felt his heart melt because of Chesca.

With her light brown wavy hair flowing down her back and her bubblegum pink dress 5 inches above her knee, chunky white block heels, and a simple gold pendant necklace as her accessory, Chesca looked simple yet elegant.

She looked so pretty in Paris' eyes that he couldn't help but stare at her. If people were to look at him from afar, they would already be able to tell that he likes Chesca just from seeing the look he was giving her.

'She'd be perfect if it weren't for her foul mouth,' Paris thought as he tried not to smile.

Victoria stealthily crept behind Paris and leaned her face close to his ear. "You're gonna burn a hole through her face if you stare at her that much," she whispered, startling Paris.

Paris covered the entirety of Victoria's face and pushed her away. "What are you talking about? I'm not staring," he whispered as he frowned at her. Victoria let out a sarcastic laugh and said, "What a joke."

"Hey Ches, Yuri, I'll head to the guys. You two have fun," Paris smiled at them. Victoria tried her best not to laugh upon seeing Paris' face. She wanted to laugh out loud and make fun of him, but she didn't want to expose Paris' secret crush on Chesca, especially because Chesca already has a boyfriend.

"Come with me," Paris whispered as he held Tori's wrist and dragged her away. "You guys have a fun talk! Gotta accompany this guy," Tori said with a smile as Paris dragged her.

"Okay, so it's not just my birthday today. It's actually my brother's birthday too since we're twins," Chesca said as her eyes strayed all over the place, looking for Chester. "But... I can't seem to find him. I wanted to introduce him to you..." she continued.

"Oh, that black-haired guy with bandaids on his face?" Yuri said as he tilted his head a bit. "Yeah, hi—What do you mean bandaids?!"Chesca's eyes widened upon realizing what Yuri just said. "Oh my god! I'm so sorry, I gotta go look for him," she continued.

"Uh... Rain... Rain is over there," she said as she pointed in the garden swing's direction. Yuri looked that way and saw Rain sitting there with his phone in his hand. "I'm gonna go look for my brother. I'll be back soon," Chesca said as she hurriedly left the garden.

Now that Yuri was left alone, he was finally able to look around freely.

The garden where Chesca's birthday is held looks like a small park with a lot of flowers. Aside from the pond that Yuri saw earlier, one of the most eye-catching things in the garden is the small hedge maze.

It looked really cool to Yuri because it was the first time he's ever seen a house with a hedge maze in their garden. Aside from the fact that it requires a big space, it also needs to be taken care of and maintained.

There was also garden furniture that looked like they were originally there, but it seemed like they added more furniture for Chesca's birthday. They also put tables with light pink table cloths on top and chairs for the guests, and since the party is being held outdoors, they put extra lights outside.

There was warm white LED Christmas lights on the big tree where the garden swing was and on the bushes.

To sum it up completely, Chesca's garden birthday party looked simple yet fancy at the same time. Although it may seem like it didn't take much effort to decorate the place since it already looks great in the first place, if you look at the details closely, you'll realize that Chesca's personality and likes were taken into account—from the color of the decoration, the decoration itself, and even the venue.

Yuri proceeded to walk towards Rain, who was busy playing on his phone. As Yuri approached him, he couldn't help but glance in the direction of Troy Lee, whom he just passed by.

'It's embarrassing to just suddenly approach him... Besides, Troy Lee probably wouldn't appreciate it if someone were to bother him on a day where he should be having fun,' Yuri thought as he continued walking.

"Oh, hey. You're here," Rain said as he took a quick look at Yuri and looked at his phone once again. "Yep. Why are you sitting here all alone? I thought Paris and Tori went to you," Yuri said as he sat next to Rain.

"They did. I chased them away 'cause they're too noisy," Rain said while still facing his phone. "They were fighting about something. It was getting annoying, so I told them to leave," he continued so Yuri wouldn't think that he'd bother him.

"So... What happened on your way here? Did you have a great time with Paris in the car?" Rain asked as he put his phone down, pretending as if he didn't know that Theodore suddenly showed up.

He and Chesca were the ones who planned the entire thing about the three of them being together in the same car. It was like they were some kind of authors who are deciding and writing what happens between Yuri, Theodore, and Paris.

"Theodore was with us, so I wasn't able to speak much with Paris. But... on our way inside the house, he put his arm over my shoulders," Yuri said as he blushed.

'Haha, just as I thought. This is so fun. Theodore is losing, haha,' Rain thought as he smiled, finding the situation amusing.

"It's going well, then?" Rain said as he rested his head on Yuri's shoulder. 'I noticed this before, but it seems like Rain is a clingy type,' Yuri thought as he smiled a little, finding Rain cute like he's a little kid.

"I can't say for sure, but it's better than last time," Yuri giggled. The two of them continued talking about Yuri's interaction with Paris earlier, until someone suddenly showed up and pulled Rain from the swing, making him stand up and move away from Yuri.

Rain's eyes traveled towards his wrist that the other person was holding. The grip was firm and was getting a bit tighter, so he could immediately tell that the person before him wasn't in the best mood.

"What are you doing, Theodore?"
