Chapter 13

'There's homework in Mathematics, History, and Science... I should do them once I get back to my room,' Yuri thought and he held the straps of his backpack as he walked inside the dormitory.

He started walking in the direction of the elevator, and he froze on his feet when he saw the person who was waiting in front of the elevator.

Scrolling through his phone with one hand inside his pocket and without any care of his surroundings, Theodore stood in front of the elevator as he waited for it to come down.

'Should I just take the stairs?' Yuri thought, finding the thought of going inside the elevator together with him. 'No, wait... There's still another elevator. I should just go inside that one,' he thought as he continued walking and made his way to the elevator next to the other one.

'Temporarily Out of Order'

That was the sign posted on the elevator doors.

The omega couldn't help but let out a sigh. He threw a quick glance at Theodore and thought, 'I should just take the stairs...'

The memory of how Theodore treated him earlier then flashed in his mind and he felt furious once again.

'Hmph! Why should I take the stairs? I'm gonna wait for the elevator, too. I find his presence uncomfortable, but he probably feels the same way. After all, he's the one who didn't seem to like me in the first place,' Yuri thought as he clenched his jaw and frowned.

"Ding!" The elevator doors opened as Yuri made up his mind to take the elevator. The two of them went inside without even looking at each other even once.

The elevator doors slowly closed after a few seconds and the entire space was filled with awkward silence, or at least, that's how Yuri felt about it. It was awkward and deafening that he felt a bit regretful that he took the elevator with Theodore.

"Hey, could you move a bit? You're standing a little too close to me when it's just the two of us here," Theodore said without sparing a glance at the omega who was standing next to him.

"Why don't you move instead?" Yuri said in an indifferent tone and looked up as he waited for the floor number to change. "Hah... Really, people like you are so annoying," Theodore said as he looked at Yuri with hostility.

'There he is again... People like me? What exactly am I?' Yuri thought as he clenched his jaw.

Yuri chose to ignore him instead of getting riled up. If he showed any kind of emotion, that would mean defeat on his part for getting affected by Theodore's mere words.

"Ding!" The elevator doors opened and the two of them got off of the elevator. As annoying as it was for the two of them to share the same space for even a few minutes, the fact that they live on the same floor and even live right next to each other made the situation more annoying for both of them.

'I seriously can't wait to leave. I should probably shorten my stay here and go back home tomorrow,' Theodore thought as he let out a sharp breath as he opened his door.

'I can't believe I found him cute when I first saw him. I'm getting goosebumps just thinking about it,' he thought as he placed his bag on the floor next to his study table.

With the same thoughts as the alpha, Yuri could feel the corners of his lips trembling as he tried to stop himself from laughing in disbelief.

'Wow, I can't believe there's actually someone with a personality as bad as his. It disgusts me how I found him attractive before. Even if he looks good outside, what good will it do when his attitude is so rotten?' Yuri thought as he placed his bag on top of his bed.

He removed his blazer and loosened his necktie. He stood in front of the mirror to look at his reflection and let out a heavy breath.

"Calm down, Yuri... You shouldn't let it get to you. He probably looks down on you because he knows you're from the province," he mumbled, trying to make himself feel a bit better.

'It's not like I didn't expect this kind of treatment from the rich kids in this school, but I've gotten accustomed to the nice treatment I got from my classmates. He's the only one who has ever treated me this bad ever since I got here,' he thought as he looked at his reflection in the mirror.

Theodore's face flashed in his head which made him more annoyed.

'If he's openly badmouthing me like that, then I should do the same, right?' Yuri thought, still looking at his reflection.

'Anyway, even if I'm pissed, it's cool how I'm still so good-looking. Just who do I take after?' Yuri thought as he smiled, his mood brightening up after seeing how he looks so good no matter what face he makes.

'I'm this good-looking yet Paris doesn't really pay attention to me. Hmph! He'll regret it if he doesn't grab me now. I'm pretty sure I'll start receiving confessions sooner or later,' he thought as he pouted.

"Why do I look so cute when I'm pouting? I'm sure I'd fall in love with myself if I was someone else just from seeing this face," he mumbled to himself. He then made a few more facial expressions in the mirror, curious how he looks like in other people's eyes when he makes a certain face.

His thoughts started straying away from his plan to annoy Theodore. After standing in front of the mirror for a few more minutes, admiring his good looks, he went to the bathroom to take a quick shower.

The cold water running from the shower, just like how he likes it, made him feel so refreshed. His head had already cooled down now that he forgot about Theodore.

Yuri wiped his body and went out of the bathroom after wrapping his lower part with a towel. He took a new set of clothes and changed into them right away.

He took his textbooks and notebooks from his bag and a powder pink-colored envelope fell as he carried his things to his study table.

He picked up the envelope and remembered that Chesca gave it to him before their class ended earlier.

'Chesca said this is an invitation to her birthday. Now, what should I wear on that day?'
