Dark shady, cold, and silence that was the usual ambiance into the huge manor of the crimson blood pack. A group of wolves living underneath the earth. The creature here wasn't experienced to see the whole form of the sun and moon and even the whole world. Why? because they were millions of feet far from above.

But the thing they hadn't known was there was a path through to reach the surface. Yet, they didn't know that cause the direction through the said passageway was too dangerous, and you have to get through a lot of trials before you could pass through that path.

But first, they needed to find out that there was a way out of the place that their clan had been living through for about many centuries.

"Killian please can you wait for me? Someday you'll see I will grow up like all the girls that have been surrounding you. I'll be saving all of me for you so you have to wait for me huh? promise…"

I was looking at the daughter of our alpha then I patted her hair while smiling at her. The little girl frowned.

We are here through my secret place. Actually, I didn't know that she was following me earlier. I was a son of Zeta of the crimson blood pack, one of the four war generals of the pack. My father took direct orders from the Alpha in case there was a battle. The Alpha may be the one to declare war, but the Zeta leads the army and plans the war. They also train recruits for positions as an Eta and Eta or more to take his or her place in the future.

"Do you think that I was joking around? or you took this as a joke cause I was ten years younger than you?"

I came back from excessively thinking as the little girl trample her feet to the ground. Looks like I annoy her that much.

"Hahaha, of course, no Serena, I'm just thinking that I'm the only son of Zeta, of our pack, do you like me that much? Do you know that our family was just like a servant and besides you had a mate and you would meet him someday, Serena you have to save your vow to your mate, not to a normal wolf like me?"

I close my eyes cause I suddenly feel pain in my chest.

"What is happening to you, Killian?" I opened my eyes and I saw the little girl's worried eyes. Those green eyes, how I love to stare at it every day, yet I know that I don't have rights.

I looked at my canvas, I was painting the surroundings. The only place that I like is this place. And with this little girl in it… it looks perfect.

Serena was always saying that she liked me so much and she wanted me to be her husband when she grew up. I just ignored it, she was not only too young, but she was also the daughter of our alpha. Of course, our alpha would like her daughter to marry the guy that same at her age or at least to his mate, not to a simple guy like me.

I take a long breath… What the hell was I thinking? Why would I compare myself to the soon-to-be husband of this little girl? As if I like her or I have an interest in a little girl that is ten years younger than me.

I immediately picked up all my scattered things due to my embarrassment, for what I was thinking.

I jumped in surprise as the Alpha shouted, he was not far away from us. I pushed the girl in front of the alpha.

I close my eyes and stammer, I don't know how I can explain to him that his daughter followed me. How could I make him believe that I hadn't taken Serena and she was the one who followed me without my knowledge? He would surely ask, `` I'm that weak not to notice her daughter. I sigh...

"don't be angry at Killian's father, he didn't force me to come with him. I was the one who followed him. I was just curious where he would go while bringing his set of art, and besides, he would be my soon-to-be husband in the future. I have to know what he was about!"

I'm doomed, I thought. I didn't know that Serena would voice it out, since for almost how many times that she keeps on saying that every time that she sees me in secret like she would sit beside me if my father has a meeting through the alpha or she could see me somewhere quiet place.

I don't know why a little girl could say such a word at her age to a seventeen-year-old boy to think that she was still seven.

"Are you thinking of marrying our son Zeta Serena?" The alpha said and his daughter nodded her head.

"I tell him to wait for me," Serena said, while I was about to faint.

"Do you like Killian that much, my princess?" the alpha asks and Serena nodded her head.

"Ok, from now on he will be your personal bodyguard. Killian, do you hear me? from now on I would give you the task to protect my princess in all you might ok?"

My eyes widened, from that day I was Serena's personal guard. He couldn't tell if that was good or bad yet, he doesn't have a choice, that's their Alpha's order.
