The Alpha’s Redemption

"Sybil come back." My aunt called out to me but I was running, the tears streaming down my eyes. I ran so fast and hid quickly behind one of our pack pillars. 

"Sybil please come out." She begged. "We can talk about this." 

But I remained in my hiding place until she eventually gave up. 

I dropped down to my knees and wept 

.There were so many things I was, naughty, an unruly and unlady like girl, I fought with boys too much and I was always caught stealing cookies before breakfast. 

My nanny Alice always smacked my bottom whenever she caught me in any of my mischief and I was forced to scrub the hideous boots of the wolf guards in our pack. 

But the last thing I had expected to be, was the disgrace of the Fire pack. 

My father was the recorded seven hundred and fifty third Alpha of our pack, my late mother had been his wife and I was the only child. 

The thing is, my mother came from a rare and extinct wolf bloodline called the Fenrir. 

We are direct descendants of the goddess Selene.

My mother was the last surviving member of her clan. 

And then she had me, but my mother died when I was six. 

I was now the only surviving Fenrir wolf on the entire earth. 

My mother's people were supposedly blessed with power beyond limits. 

They never materialized in my mother so when she had me there were so many expectations. 

But that all came crashing down on the day of my first transformation ceremony.

All my friends had turned to their wolves for the first one by one. 

My boyfriend Ryan Towers of the Sun pack had also changed to his own wolf. 

I transformed alright, but not what anyone was expecting. 

My wolf was hideous, the bones were bent, one eye was larger than the other which was barely even visible.

My hind and back legs were all disfigured and the worst of all I could not even howl. 

I was a crippled wolf. 

A disgust and abomination to our community to my family. 

I could see the embarrassment and the shame in my pack. 

So I had run away like the coward I was, my eighteenth birthday ruined and my heart broken. 

Hurled in a corner crying like a sore loser. 

This was not how my fate was supposed to be. 

After a short while, I wiped my tears and heard my boyfriend and mate's voice.

Ryan. 

He had promised me that no matter what he would always love me. 

We were meant to be together. 

He had come to look for me. 

I got up to my feet and followed his voice. 

I heard his voice getting closer as I rushed with tears of relief flowing down my cheeks.  

"Oh Ryan you have no idea how happy I am to see-

I stopped short. 

There was my boyfriend grunting over and over as he fucked my best friend in a balcony. 

I stood there, transfixed and in horror. 

She had her hands on his head and her eyes were closed as he went back and forth with her. 

I let out a soft and unexpected cry. 

Then he quickly turned and saw me. 

They both did. 

"Sybil." He said .

"How could you do this?" I said my heart utterly shattered.

I started to go and then I noticed he was not following me. 

I turned back and saw that he was still there with her. 

"Y… you're not going to explain yourself?" I said confused. 

I was still hurt and angry but yet I wanted him to give a reason.

"Say what Sybil." Ryan said.

My heart froze. 

"Look it's over between us." He said. "It's not you it's me. I don't feel the same way anymore."

I wanted the ground to open up and swallow me whole. 

My head was spinning in confusion. 

"You said we were going to be together forever." I said still in disbelief. 

"I can not marry you Sybil. Look at you. You are a crippled wolf. How can you be my mate? You will taint me and my family." He said heartlessly and then he shook his head. "I had been thinking for a while and this really made me realize. I can no longer be with you. We are different. I reject you Sybil Auclair."

I could feel my soul leaving my heart with those words. 

My best friend, Diane simply stood there without saying a word to me. 

"Ryan please don't do this. You are all I have." I cried. 

"DON'T BEG ME!" He snapped. "If you had some sense of respect and shame, you would take what I have offered and leave. You are further disgracing yourself by begging me." 

And then he turned back to Diane who smiled back at him as they resumed kissing

Dazed and confused, I turned around and walked away. 

It was too much. 

It was like I was not myself. 

I had no idea when I walked away from our pack territory in the dead of the night and into the darkness

I woke up with a headache on the ground and looked around. 

I was too confused and exhausted and then I saw a familiar tree that marked towards our pack. 

I slowly got up and began to stumble back home.

My body ached and my head spun. 

And then i began to feel dizzy until i heard some voices and then horses.

And then just as I fell to the ground someone caught. 

"Is that her? Is that really her?" I heard my father's deep voice from afar. 

"Sybil. Sybil." It was my aunt calling out to me. 

I managed to open my eyes better and then I saw my aunt and father.

They both threw their arms around me and hugged me.

I was oblivious to the crowd of our wolf guards around.

"How are you? Are you alright? Where have you been? We were so worried about you?" My aunt said tears in her eyes. 

My father was crying himself. 

And then I remembered how much I had disgraced them by being a cripple.

"I am so sorry." I said. "I didn't mean to go away. and I know that I disgraced you yesterday in front of everyone and-

They stiffened and looked at each other and then looked back at me in confusion. 

"What? Why are you looking at me like that?" I managed. 

My Aunt held my arms and said. "Sybil what is today?"

"I don't really remember." I said. "But I know yesterday was the day of my transformation ceremony. I think I slept off in the woods last night."

My aunt looked shocked. 

"What is it? What is going on?" I begged. "Please tell me."

"Sybil." My aunt started. "Yesterday was not the night of the transformation ceremony. Your transformation Ceremony was three years ago."

I instantly went white. 

"No that's not possible. It was yesterday I didn't mean to run away and-

My Dad shook his head and I became cold.

I looked back at my aunt. 

"You've been missing for three years Sybil." My Aunt said. 

And then everything went black for me.
